"Poor Treatment and Services at Assisted Living Facility"

When we moved a family member into this community, we set up her room and asked for laundry and towel services. I visited for a week, and in all that time, she only had one washcloth. I asked her about the missing towels and she was clueless. I spoke to the staff about it and found out they weren't doing her laundry either. She told me that the staff were mean to her. We didn't want her in such an environment, so we decided to leave. The facility insisted on a 30 day advance notice for leaving and a reason for our departure. We also heard from other residents who experienced similar treatment and didn't receive the services they were promised.

"Consider Other Options for Senior Living"

I think you should check out other places for your family member. The workers here don’t bring the food inside; they leave it outside the room door. Also, they serve breakfast at 10, but my family member likes to eat at 8.

"Room for Improvement in Assisted Living Facility"

The community sometimes smells. Staff should communicate better with families. During caregiver training, they need to be more thorough so they can better handle my mom's needs. More activities beyond bingo would be great. For active seniors, there isn't enough engagement. Overall, we feel comfortable with her care. I'm there every day for my mom. I would recommend this community to other families seeking senior living.

"Close to Home, But Assisted Living Needs Work"

Once again, the person who was supposed to show us around was late. Because of that, a different person gave us the tour. Later, the person we were supposed to meet with finally arrived. It seems like she was busy with another appointment. That part was fine. The place was alright, but it’s pretty old and could use some fixing up. The best part, though, is that it’s near our house.

"Unprepared Visit, Lack of Staff and Unpleasant Smell."

When I arrived for my scheduled visit, they weren't prepared. The staff member who was supposed to guide me wasn't there, leading to a bit of chaos. It seemed like there weren't enough workers as I saw plenty of residents but a small number of staff. As I finally got to explore, all I could smell was urine in the hallways.

"Decent But Dated Facility with Few Interactions and Poor Outdoors"

I was let down because the boss was missing for my visit. The worker who showed me around was friendly and professional. The place was neat and there were no nasty smells. They had a schedule of monthly events and group photos of people enjoying those activities. The people living there were watching TV while I was there, but no workers were talking or interacting with them. The outside sitting area was poorly taken care of and let me down. They also had a menu for the month, with three meals a day and extras. You can get sandwiches instead of regular meals if you prefer. The place where you eat was just okay. The restrooms were neat and had safety bars to hold onto. In the end, it's an old and gloomy place.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

I kinda like this place. It was clean and the staff is nice. But the 2nd floor could use some fixing up.

"Bad Smells and No Staff at This Big Facility"

We weren't impressed with this big place. When we visited, we couldn't find anyone to speak to. It smelt bad and it seemed like there was no one looking after or guarding the place.

"Large, unattended facility with bad smells and no security."

I really didn't enjoy this assisted living place. It's way too big and when we visited, there was nobody available to speak with us. It smelled bad, and it didn't seem like there was anyone looking after or securing the facility.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living with Perfect Rooms"

I went on a tour at , and I really enjoyed it. The place was super clean and everyone was nice. The rooms were nice too, though a tad small, but still good.

"Memory care staff friendly and affordable, but depressing atmosphere dissatisfied."

The memory care staff was nice, and the cost was low, but I wasn't happy. When we walked around the MemoryCare area, it smelled bad in the hallways. It felt really sad there. I don't think it's the right place for my parents.

"Older Facility Requires Renovations, Far From Doctors"

I had a good tour of the facility. The employees there could answer everything I asked and the place seemed well-kept. However, the building is old and really needs a makeover. Plus it's far from where my doctors are.

"Mixed Experience at Carson Senior Living"

My time at Carson Senior Living has had good and bad moments. The director is really nice and always ready to help with anything. He has an assistant who also listens to my concerns. The caregivers are friendly and take good care of everyone. But, there are some issues too. The food isn't that great, and I keep asking for healthier options for my mom, but they still bring unhealthy snacks. Also, the second floor smells like smoke because people smoke on the patio and leave the door open. Plus, the building looks old and needs an update.

"Mixed Feelings About Carson Senior Living"

Carson Senior Living: Good and Bad Points" There's good and bad parts about Carson Senior Living. The boss is super nice and really tries to help out. He's got this lady working with him that answers any questions I have. The folks who take care of the residents are really good, too - no problems there. But, there are some things I'm not happy with. The food isn't very good. I keep asking if they can give my mom food that's low in sugar and salt. They say they will, but then they bring her things like chips and sandwiches. Plus, my mom has lung trouble and heart problems, so she uses oxygen. But when you go up to the second floor, it smells a lot like smoke. I found out it's because people go out on the patio to smoke but leave the door open. Also, the place feels old. It could do with some updating.

"Feels like family"

I’m so thankful that Carson Assisted Living was recommended for my dad. The staff at Carson Assisted Living is wonderful. They treat my dad like family and are always kind, helpful, and quick to respond to me. They even handle his doctor appointments, driving him there and sitting in during the visit to make sure everything goes smoothly. My dad enjoys living there, and he really loves the staff.

"Friendly Staff, Clean Place; Just Too Far Away"

I had a nice visit to this place. It looked pretty clean and well-kept, from what I could see. The people working there were really nice and friendly. They had some good stuff going on there. But it's just a bit too far away for us. Overall, it wasn't a bad time.

"Moving a Loved One to an Assisted Care Facility"

The assisted living facility is well maintained. Sometimes, the care and responsibility toward tenants raise questions. Remember to maintain an open rapport with staff, ask questions, and expect timely responses. Always get in writing what you’re paying for. For instance, we were quoted a base room rate of $1,250 per month but were charged $1,500 based on verbal information. Although we didn’t have written details about the extra $250, negotiations reduced it to $100 over the room rate. Now we know it covers help with showers. Don’t be shy—ensure your loved one receives what you’re paying for.

"Carson Living: They Manage Pretty Well Overall"

Carson Senior Assisted Living does a fine job overall. They can't make folks participate if they don't want to. They handle medications properly, and the food's pretty good. All in all, they do okay.

"Brother is happy despite room cleanliness issues"

I think the room my brother stays in at Carson Senior Assisted Living could be cleaner. I've visited many times, and only once was it as clean as it should be. It's also always hard to find anyone to talk to for help or feedback. Despite all that, my brother is quite happy there.

"Amazing Care for Seniors at Carson Senior Living"

This is a wonderful place for seniors of all levels. My mom has a serious form of dementia, and this is the best place I've found that takes care of her needs with both patience and kindness. The staff is friendly and really knows their stuff. They keep me updated on my mom's condition with clear information. I’m so relieved to have found Carson Senior Living. I don’t have to worry about my mom anymore because I know she’s getting the best care possible.

"Caring at Carson Arbor Hall"

The staff is great, but Arbor Hall needs more activities. The rooms could use fresh paint and better lighting. Noah, who runs the Alzheimer's unit, is incredibly caring and helpful.

"Carson Assisted Living: Not Fantastic But Decent"

Carson Assisted Senior Living is okay, not amazing but not terrible either. It doesn't cost a lot, so you get the basic stuffs like furniture. The workers are nice, but sometimes their accents make it tough to understand them. The food they serve is alright. To wrap it up, this facility is decent.

"Excellent staff, clean place, good value, minor activity issue."

The staff is excellent. The activities could be more frequent, but that’s the only issue. The food was okay when I tried it, and my loved one hasn’t complained. I chose this place because the staff was great, it was clean, it was a good value, and I liked that I can visit anytime without giving notice. I’m always happy with what I see.

"Good First Impression at Assisted Living Facility"

My first impression of the facility was good. The entrance was clean and organized. All the staff members who helped us were friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. They had lots of activities for the residents. The location was just what we wanted. The environment suited the care we needed. The price was a bit higher than our original budget, but overall, I’m very happy with our choice.

"A Homey Place for Mom"

Carson Senior Assisted Living is amazing! Joe and his staff are incredibly helpful. They've made a big difference for my mom. Plus, they invited me to Thanksgiving dinner with her—it was lovely, with great food and live music. Thank you, Carson—you're the best!

"Convenient Location, Good Space but Old Carpet and Misquoted Price"

The facility was lovely and close to my house. The rooms were a comfortable size, but the carpet was pretty old, and there was a musty smell in the halls, like they've been cleaned with a moldy mop. I was also given a different quote than what I found on the internet.

"Older Facility with Issues But Transparency in Pricing"

When I got to the assisted living facility, the fire alarm was ringing. I was supposed to meet Joe, but since his car broke down, I ended up touring the place with Ginger, who was coughing and feeling sick. The outside of the main entrance had wear and tear and there was damage to some of the walls inside the building - little pieces of plaster could easily fall into someone's eyes. What I like is their cost structure - there are no hidden fees, everything is included in one price. The building was clearly older and it even smelled a bit musty. Even some of the residents had strong smells. While the rooms were alright privacy-wise, the entire facility felt more like a recovery center than a home. They have group activities listed on their schedule, but the general vibe wasn't super cheerful or positive.

"Lack of Staff Leads to Poor Care and Disorganization"

This place seems to lack enough staff and because of that, the people who live there don't get the care they should. They've also had issues with lost stuff and the workers can't explain how that happened. Most of these problems come from not having enough staff who are working too hard. We're unhappy with this and wouldn't suggest others use them.

"Perfect choice for budget-friendly, top-quality care"

We chose Carson Senior Assisted Living because it was perfect for us. It fits our budget without lowering the quality of service. They offer different levels of care that are reasonably priced. Though the building is older, it’s well maintained, and the staff goes beyond what we expected. We highly recommend Carson for anyone looking for affordable, excellent care.

"Great place with friendly staff and fair prices."

I really like this place. The price is fair, the atmosphere is nice, and the staff is friendly. The administrative team is super helpful. The only downside is that the outside of the building doesn’t look very good.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Prices"

My dad wasn't a fan, but I was. The prices were $1250 for shared rooms, $1650 for shared restrooms, and $1950 for private rooms. All care was included, and it's not a locked facility.
