"Friendly Staff and Clean Environment"
My grandma's caregiver is super friendly and helpful. The whole staff is amazing, and the place is really clean. Even though my grandma is 92 and doesn't eat much, she seems to enjoy what she does eat. The community feels fresh and tidy.

My grandma's helper is awesome! She's so nice and helpful. All the staff here are great! The place is really clean and nice. Grandma is 92, so she doesn't eat much, but she enjoys what she does eat. The whole community is clean and feels fresh.

"Unexpected Costs and Mediocre Care at Chateau Le Petit"
Unfortunately, I can't be as upbeat as some reviewers. The meals were just okay and didn't seem particularly special. Rather than engaging activities, it seemed like residents were just parked in front of a giant, constantly running TV. The owners have this weird rule where they add a $10 daily surcharge for extra "services", but they aren't broken down on the monthly bills. Human Services in LA told me this practice isn't only illegal but also unethical. Instead, these fees appear all of a sudden when your relative passes away. That means any partial refunds you might have gotten in any given month get swallowed up by these add-on "services". I'm not certain if the owners intentionally planned this pricing strategy this way, or just took advantage of how it worked out. Either way, I'd never trust Chateau Le Petit with a loved one ever again.

"Disappointing experience with Chateau Le Petit's care"
Sadly, I can't echo the positive reviews. My dad was here from May 2014 till his death in February 2015. The food seemed just okay. Most activities involved having everyone watch a giant TV. The owners have this weird rule where they charge an extra $10/day for "care", but don't show these costs in the monthly bill. According to Human Services in LA, this isn't legal or moral. Instead, they apply the total sum of these charges retroactively when your relative dies. So you don't get a partial refund for that month, as it gets eaten up by extra "care" costs. I don't know if the owners purposely made this cost plan, or just exploit it. Either way, I wouldn't trust Chateau Le Petit with family again.

"Exceptional care and love at Chateau Le Petite!"
The staff at Chateau Le Petite is truly amazing. They really care! Their attention and skills are impressive. My mother was lucky to spend her last 6 months there. She enjoyed tasty homemade meals, received kind and expert care, and loved the peaceful, loving environment with the other 5 residents. She even liked relaxing on the patio surrounded by roses and a pool! This place is filled with sunshine and love. The owners are always involved, even visiting my mom when she was in the hospital to check on her and offer help. That was incredible! The home is managed very well. I wish I had found this board and care home sooner, but I believe everything happens for a reason. Since I live on the East Coast, for the first time in many years, I felt relieved knowing my mom was in good hands, safe, and well taken care of.
