"Mixed Feelings: Assisted Living Facility Review"

I wouldn't suggest it, seemed old and gloomy. The workers were nice though.

"Mixed Experience for Independent Seniors; Insufficient Care for Others"

This place might suit someone who doesn't need much help. But if your family member requires more attention, it's better to look elsewhere. The staff were nice enough, but communication was just okay. The food wasn't all that great either.

"Neglect and Poor Management"

I moved here thinking it was good, but things changed. Now, with the new company, Ensign, it's not as good. Lots of staff changes, especially in important jobs. The people who take care of us sometimes don't pay attention because they're on their phones. Common sense isn't common here. Staff make bad decisions that put us in danger; after the earthquake, the boss didn't check on everyone. Many of us think this company only cares about money, not us. We stopped asking the Director for help because he doesn't do anything. We don't bother suggesting improvements anymore. There aren't many activities, and not many of us go because the caregivers don't help us get there.

"Benefit-Lacking Corporation Values Profit Over Quality Care"

The corporation that runs this place cares only about profits. The meals aren't good at all. They pay staff peanuts and don't even bother to train them well. Workers here are made to do things they weren't even hired for. It seems like everyone works part time, so there are no benefits at all. It gets worse because the residents often go unnoticed since the caregivers are stretched out too thin. Plus, there's nothing fun or stimulating for the residents to do. The standard of care is extremely low. It's clear that the employees are unskilled and not appreciated at all.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Safety and Compassion"

This place can't be trusted to keep you safe. I didn't get proper medical check-ups, and they didn't care about their mistakes. It's badly managed, and they don't care about fixing the problems. The staff has to cover for each other because people keep quitting. They're always hiring new people. They accept anyone just to fill up rooms, even people with serious mental health issues. That puts everyone else at risk. It's all about money here, hardly any care. The managers don't seem to care much either. The reception area isn't great because the person at the front desk is also the business manager and she's always busy. They don't treat the staff well, and they hire anyone who walks through the door. You can't trust anyone here.

"Caution: Not safe "

Caution: Do not send your loved ones to live and be cared for to this facility. I found [name removed], clearly a resident with memory care needs, on the street in front of the facility on [date removed]. This is a busy street, there was morning traffic, and she was in her wheel chair struggling to cross the street. By the time I made a U-turn in my car, she was in the street and I had to park and take her back inside the facility. The staff hadn’t even realized she was gone. When I found a staff representative, they explained her security bracelet was broken and on back order. They knew she was a wanderer and had no back-up plan in place to keep [name removed] safe and from leaving the building! I’ve spoken twice to the director, [name removed], and she said legally they didn’t need to have a gate around their facility, since they were not a memory care facility. She told me they filed a report which would go to the state, that [name removed]’s case worker had been notified, and [name removed]’s son. I asked her to tell the son to call me in order to be sure her family was notified. I never received a call, so I question what has been communicated. I would NEVER allow my loved ones to live here.

"Satisfactory Assisted Living Experience at Citrus Hills"

My mom lives at Citrus Hills. We've been pretty happy there for a few months. Before, we tried another place, but we like Citrus Hills better! It's an older building, but we prefer the staff here over the fancier place we tried. The staff talks to us a lot and takes good care of the residents. They really seem to care about them. They let us know if there are any problems and give us updates when we visit. The people who work on the floor are helpful and quick to respond. Plus, it's not too expensive. The only downside is that maintenance hasn't fixed some things in my mom's room that need fixing.

"Content at Citrus Hills, Maintenance Needs Work"

My mom stays at Citrus Hills. For a few months now, we’ve been quite pleased with it. Before coming here, we checked out another place, but we like Citrus Hills way more! Sure, the building’s a bit old, but the people working here are nicer than at the more modern place we saw. The team here talks to us a lot, which is great. They really seem to care about everyone living here. If something’s up, they’re on the phone to let us know. And when we drop by, they’re ready with all the news about how my mom’s doing. The folks you see around, helping out? They’re super quick to lend a hand. Plus, it doesn’t cost too much. The one thing that’s not so great is fixing stuff. There are a few things in my mom’s room that still need to be sorted out.

"Review of Orange's Assisted Living: Not Impressed"

Went there. The place is aged. Didn't really like it.

"Hidden Gem!"

The staff was really friendly, always smiling and welcoming. The building sits on a quiet street near Chapman, away from the busy road. Plus, there's a delightful indoor courtyard.

"Warm and welcoming staff in a cozy location with courtyard."

The staff here is really nice and friendly. They always have a smile on their faces and made me feel really welcome. The building is on a small street just off Chapman, so it's not right on the main road. There's a really pretty indoor courtyard too, which I liked a lot.

"Not the Right Fit for Us: An Unimpressive Community"

This place didn't really wow me. There was a weird smell in the building. The workers were decent, I guess. But, I felt like this place is better if you've sort of lost yourself. None of the people living there looked sad, and a few rooms looked alright. But, there were also rooms that weren't nice at all. It's just not our cup of tea.

"Great value and convenient stay with minor medication issues"

I feel like I got good value for my money. The only problem was that we had to talk about managing the medication a few times. Other than that, everything was great—no complaints or suggestions for improvement. They even provided the furniture for the room since my stay was short.

"Friendly staff and warm community make a big difference here"

The staff here are really friendly and do their jobs well. They’ve gone above and beyond to help me since my wife passed away on February 21st. Both my dog and I have been welcomed with open arms. Most of the other residents are friendly too.
