"Unfair Management Forces Tenants Out, Doubles Rent"
This critique is directed at the bosses, not the helpers. My dad lived there for eighteen months, and the boss is hugely unfair in how he runs things. The boss forced my dad and others to leave their homes to make more money. We got barely any warning that my dad's rent was going to almost double, and they said it was needed to pay for running things. But, the boss didn't give any clear answers about why costs went up, hinting at worker pay, yet the helpers there said they didn't get raises and didn't like the boss's behavior. Since we couldn't handle the sudden cost jump, we had to move my sick dad, causing him a lot of distress. Don't trust this business or its bosses, because they only care about themselves, not about the people living in their places.

"Personalized care and family-like atmosphere"
The people here take great care of my mother. The home, aides, nurses, and home-cooked meals are all fantastic. The owners genuinely care about the residents. After checking out other, more 'institutional' places, I can say this one stands out. With a 2:1 staff-to-resident ratio, there’s more personal attention, and the staff treats the residents like family. The home-like feel makes everyone less anxious. The only downside is the cost and no medical staff after day shift, but turnover is low. Overall, I’m happy and would recommend it for those needing personalized care.

"Feels Like Home, Perfect for Mom"
Clarendon is a wonderful and lovely place, and it's my first choice. I love that it feels like a home because it is a home, not like those bigger places that feel more like hotels. Nice, but not personal. We chose Clarendon because their memory care unit really impressed me. The price was similar to others. We visited four or five times, and everyone we talked to was smiling. The residents were clean, well cared for, and happy. There are lots of activities and field trips since it's close to a shopping area. Mom has been here for over a year, and EVERYTHING IS GOING GREAT!!!!!!!

"Clarendon: A True Lifesaver"
Clarendon Senior Living is a lifesaver. My family spent over a year trying different places and private caregivers, which became like another full-time job for me. A friend recommended Clarendon, where his mom also stays. After my mom moved in, I could finally return to my normal life and enjoy our visits. This place is awesome. It's the best facility in town.

"Caring Staff, Convenient Location"
Clarendon Senior Living is a great place. We first had Mom at their new Lake Balboa facility because that's where she lived. I asked one of the owners,to let me know if a spot opened up at their Woodland Hills location. Three months later, a spot opened, and we moved Mom. What a blessing! No more wasting hours on the 101 to see her. Thanks, guys! The staff is caring and loving, and the management is very responsive. Everyone there really cares. I would recommend it to anyone!
