"Older Facility Improving, Nice Staff and a Pool"
The workers were nice. This place definitely had some age to it, but they were making it better. It was cool that there was a swimming pool. There was an odd smell though. I thought it was neat that the people living there were getting ready for a charity fundraiser.

"Better for active individuals - Services missed the mark"
I stayed at this place for a couple of months before going back home. They did a good job of keeping everything tidy every day. The meals were decent, although sometimes they would run out, but they always had alternatives. The employees were kind and useful. However, there was something I needed that they couldn't give me. It's a place that I would suggest for people who are more active.

"She’s content but has some concerns about food and cleaning"
She’s not too thrilled with the food it’s kind of bland. She thinks the housekeeping does a decent job, but it could be improved. Those are the only two things she’s not happy about. On the bright side, she’s joining activities and looks pretty content. We picked this place because it’s close to family, which makes visiting easier.

"Improvements Needed in Dining Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The people who work here are really nice. The place looks nice too. But sometimes, when she goes to eat, she has to sit at a table that's not clean, which seems like a problem for health. Whenever I tell them about it, they just make excuses. The food options aren't great, even though you can eat all day. The good choices, like beef, are too tough for older people to eat. Apart from that, the rest of the place is clean and they have lots of activities for her to meet new people and get to know the other residents.

"Cleaner Carpets Needed, but Friendly Atmosphere"
Our time at Cortona Park has been really good! There are so many nice folks here, from the helpers to the cooks—they're all friendly and welcoming! The only thing I'd say is they should clean the carpets more often, especially around the cafeteria and elevators. But besides that, it's a really nice place!

"Great Place to Consider for Senior Living"
We visited this community and thought it was great! We wanted to move our loved one in, but unfortunately, it didn't work out. Still, the place was really nice. It’s clean, well-maintained, and the staff are all super friendly. If you’re looking for senior living in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out.

"Perfect Place for Seniors!"
This place is amazing! It’s run so well. Everyone is super friendly and they know everyone by name. There are about 150 people here. This place was built just for senior living, not converted from something else. Brookdale runs it, and you can’t go wrong here - it’s awesome! I think there’s even a waiting list now. There are tons of activities. They just had the last pool party of the year. They have Wii bowling and I play bridge. There are all kinds of games, puzzles, and community activities, which is great. I also love that everyone has a washer and dryer in their apartment, so you don’t have to wait for a laundry room.

"Very Poor Assisted Living: Move Loved Ones Out Early"
This place was really bad. If you can't do everything on your own, this place isn't fit for you at all. The quality of care is super low. My mom hadn't received her needed medicine for almost two weeks. I don't think the staff is properly trained. When it's time to give out medication, there's only one caregiver for around 50 residents. If you can live independently, it's not a bad place, but when it comes to necessary care, this place fails terribly. My mom was there for a year and a half, and I now wish that I had removed her earlier. It seemed like they were doing everything they could to push her out. When my mom was due to return from the hospital, they required an evaluation first. I notified them that my mom would soon be discharged, but they said she couldn't return home just yet. They even suggested I put her up in a hotel and wait four days for an evaluation. This happened on two separate occasions.
