"Avoid this Facility: Poor Treatments, Unprofessional Staff, and Bullying"
My dad wasn't taken care of right at this location, and luckily, he can talk about all that happened under these so-called "caregivers." The Program Director, alongside her team, are mean, unhelpful, and act like bullies. Probably why they don't let us speak to our family for three weeks. I'd say stay far away with your family. I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH THAT I DON'T ENDORSE THIS PLACE.

"Great care, beautiful setting, but concerns about medication levels."
Desert Cottages 1 is a lovely place. My wife, unfortunately, seems to be getting too much medicine. I talked to her regular doctor, who spoke with the folks at Desert Cottages 1, and they're fixing it. We're moving soon, but if we weren't, I'd be happy to recommend this place to anyone. The food's good, the staff is helpful, and the place itself is really nice.

"A Caring Home Away from Home"
This place is really nice. The people who take care of everyone here are great. They're patient and they help those who have trouble seeing. The food is good too. They make their own soups, and they have lots of snacks throughout the day. They make sure everyone gets dressed and sits down for meals. The place is super clean, and they even open the windows to air out the rooms. It feels cozy and comfortable, like a real home. I feel good about my dad being there.

"Avoid Desert Cottage: Overpriced, Neglectful, and Dangerous"
After just a week, we realized this wasn't the right place and wish others won't make the same error. The Desert Cottages team was welcoming but failed to recognize and admit any health deterioration since moving our loved one there. We worked to move her elsewhere, but, sadly, an accident occurred before that could happen. They didn't let us know when she got seriously hurt. They didn't seek medical attention until we discovered her injury and had to step in to contact a doctor ourselves. Upon hospital admission, it became clear that she was in bad health and needed lots of help. They seemed more interested in keeping things neat than actually caring for their residents. The fees at Desert Cottage are quite high and, frankly, outrageous. They billed us more than $14,000 a month. I can't recommend this place for anyone's care needs.

"Decent Facility, Pricing Details Unclear"
This is a pretty new place in North Indio. It’s for six people with two rooms shared and two single rooms. It’s tidy and has everything you need. The workers know their stuff and seem nice. They do everything for you here. But the way they explain their prices isn’t clear, which I don’t really like. I’m thinking about it.

"Clean and comfy assisted living, but unclear pricing. Staff caring."
This newer home in north Indio accommodates six people, with two shared rooms and two singles. It's clean and well-equipped. The staff seems competent and caring, providing complete service. However, they could improve by being clearer about pricing, which is a bit off-putting. I'm undecided but will consider it further.
