Encino Terrace Senior Living

"Atria Encino Terrace Review"
Atria Encino Terrace is in a good spot and not too expensive. The food is okay, and the staff cares about you. It's big enough to be a community, but not so big that it feels like a hospital. After a few months, I'm really pleased with how things are there. It's just right for us at this time.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living with Good Care and Activities"
My family member lived at Atria Encino Terrace. Overall, our time there was really good. The place was very clean and everyone was friendly. The staff took good care of my loved one. The activities were alright. I think others would like this place too.

"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living Facility"
They've been really nice overall, but we faced some challenges. I think it's important for families to stay involved and speak up for their loved ones, rather than expecting everything to be done for them.

"Disappointing experience; understaffed, overpromised care, ignored concerns, unfair billing."
Our experience was totally disappointing. They were seriously short on staff and the management promised more care than they could offer. The caregivers were okay, but they couldn't live up to the promised standards. They were meant to help feed my family member, but failed to do so. When the health of my loved one got worse, they ignored our worries. We had to hire a separate nurse to provide the necessary care. Upon leaving, they attempted to bill us for services they never performed. So, make sure you understand everything before signing any contract there. This is definitely not what we thought we would get from an Atria community. It's like expecting a stay at Marriott and ending up at Courtyard Marriott instead.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
It's clean and a nice place overall. However, my family member didn't meet many friendly people. Encino Terrace didn't help him meet others, which disappointed him a bit. The staff are very friendly though. There were unexpected extra costs, and he's still unsure about the services he should get for what he pays.

"Nice place, just need to fix noise issues"
I’ve had a great experience with Vintage Encino Hills so far. I like everything they provide, and the place is clean, tidy, and looks nice. My only issue has been some noise from a neighbor. The staff are quick to help when this happens, but it would be even better if they could find a way to stop the noise from happening in the first place.

" "Hotel-like Facility with Unusual Odor and Ice Cream""
This place reminded me of a hotel. It had an odd odor and they served ice cream.

"Great care and staff, minor issue with one staff member"
I haven't been there for over a month, but I'd rate it a solid 5 except for the last day. I asked a med staff member if they could send a CNA to help me get some things from my closet. She said no one was available and she was too busy. I know they filed an incident report, but I haven’t called administration about it. The med tech who was rude used to be very considerate and compassionate. Everything else was great—clean, no bad smell, caring staff, well-planned meals, and great chefs. I also met a few residents, and they were all very nice and happy.

"Big Menu Variety, But Watch Those Fees!"
They’ve got a huge menu with lots of choices at every meal, including an Ice Cream Social Room where you can grab sandwiches, fruit, ice cream, popcorn, yogurt, and snacks 24/7. Plus, there’s a salad bar for lunch and dinner. My only worry is the community fees and potential price hikes down the road.

"Cozy living with limited amenities; good location; smaller facility"
The assisted living place is pretty cozy and nice. They don't have a memory care unit though. But they do have a balcony, which is cool. There's no kitchen, but they can give you a fridge and a microwave if you need. You can see the inner courtyard from your room, which is nice. It's in a good spot, not too far from things. The place is small, which is good if you like that. The one-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms is around 600 square feet, which is pretty nice. They seem to have fewer activities compared to other places.

"Mom Likes Inn on the Boulevard and Courtyard Plaza!"
Mom really liked both Inn on the Boulevard and Courtyard Plaza! She thinks they could be great options. She's taking her time deciding, but she saw how active she could be there. Plus, they're close to her doctors.

"Impressive first tour; staff helpful with resident connections"
During our first tour, we were really impressed. The rooms are small, but the staff and facility are very nice. I talked to the marketing department about finding other residents for her to connect with. They set up a second visit during the facility's 'happy hour' so she could meet some of the more active residents.
