Fairwinds - Woodward Park

"Comfortable and Welcoming Assisted Living"
I have nothing bad to say about Fairwinds Woodward Park. The staff is friendly and knows what they're doing. The rooms are clean and modern. The food is decent, not fancy, but perfectly okay!

I'm okay with Fairwinds - Woodward Park even though it's not perfect. From what I've seen, I'd tell other families to consider living here.

"Affordable, Clean, and Friendly Assisted Living Facility with Cozy Rooms"
I enjoyed the tour of Fairwinds - Woodward Park. They were pricier and the rooms were smaller than we preferred. However, it's neat and the staff is nice.

"Fairwinds: Great Location, Some Flaws"
We recommend Fairwinds, but it’s not flawless. Some infrastructure issues persist, despite needing upgrades years ago. The location, though, is excellent.

"Happy Choice with Helpful Staff and Pool - Recommended for Seniors"
We picked Fairwinds because my wife wanted a place with a pool, and they have one here. The people who work here have been really nice right from the start and did a good job explaining everything. She's happy, and we would tell others to check it out if they're looking.

"Food and Dining Need Improvement at Fairwinds Assisted Living"
I still live at Fairwinds because moving is hard and costly. The big apartments are really nice, but they're expensive. The main problems are with the food and dining. Many people have left because of it. Waiting 30 minutes for a table and then another 45 for food is common. If you eat at 4 PM, you can get a seat, but by 5:30, some of the better specials are gone. Unlike at a bad restaurant, you'll keep coming back. Before moving in, try eating dinner there a few times with other residents. Ask them what they think without staff around. Also, read the rental agreement carefully.

"Top pick with great food and friendly staff!"
This was our top pick out of the four places we visited. She was really helpful and friendly, giving us lots of great info! Lunch was delicious, and (the server) was wonderful. There are many activities because it’s a bigger community.

"Great Place for Mom!"
I went to check out this place for my mom. Everything went smoothly. The staff were punctual and answered all my questions well. I really liked how open and spacious it was, plus the awesome amenities for everyone. Unfortunately, it didn't fit our budget in the end.

"Wonderful Community for Mom"
Fairwinds - Woodward Park is a great place. It's very clean and well-kept. The staff is friendly and caring, and they help my Mom adjust to the move. It's hard for her to ask for help since she's been independent most of her life. She likes the food here. They have lots of activities, but my Mom loves playing Bridge. That's one reason we chose Fairwinds. She also enjoys the musical entertainment. We decorated her room with her furniture and pictures. The community has a bus for shopping trips into town, but my Mom hasn't gone yet. She's still getting used to her new surroundings. It takes time to adjust.

I have really enjoyed staying here. The staff are outstanding. The waiters in the dining room always go out of their way to help me. My favorite activity is bingo nights with the other ladies. I love their company. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend this place.

"Safe, festive, and caring place for loved ones to thrive!"
My relative was nervous about moving to a new place. But the pretty lobby, fun vibe, kind staff, and neat grounds made it feel safe and nice. After two weeks in her apartment, she seems really happy! It costs a bit more, but hearing her laugh makes it totally worth it. Big shoutout to the senior advisor from A Place for Mom. She's awesome!

"Wonderful Place with Caring Staff and Great Food!"
Fairwinds is now my grandparents' new home. My grandfather loves it, though my grandmother is still adjusting. What matters most is that they are happy and comfortable. The place is spotless, and the staff really enjoy their jobs. They care about both the residents and their families. He helped me a lot at first and answered all my questions. He spent two hours with me, which was great. This was definitely the best place I visited. The residents look happy and have lots of activities. My grandfather especially likes the food. I would highly recommend this place!

"Top Choice for Assisted Living in Naga, Bicol Region"
I was really impressed with both the staff and the facility. It was clean and felt like it could be my home. I especially liked all the living options. The apartments were spacious, and some even had fireplaces and real kitchens. I'm still researching communities, but this one is definitely at the top of my list.

" Fairwinds Tour: Impressive Amenities But Not Ideal For Mom "
Fairwinds Tour: High-Quality but Not a Good Fit for Mom" They were great tour guides at Fairwinds, showing us around with a positive vibe. They showed us different rooms, ranging from shared two-bedroom units to private one and two-bedroom apartments, all including small kitchens and big walk-in closets. Each room gets a fresh coat of paint and new carpet before a new resident arrives. The shared places were nicely furnished and the movie area had comfy chairs. While the people living there seemed active and social, they didn't really engage with us. It seemed a bit exclusive, which might make it hard for newcomers to fit in. There's a beauty salon inside, which is cool, but the noise level was pretty high, it felt more like a big city hotel. Some residents would occasionally argue, which might stress out my mom. One thing that bugged me was that they asked about money before discussing the needs of my mom. Also, sometimes the staff would look at their screens instead of talking to us directly. The building itself was huge, with open stairways that could be scary to someone like my mom. The hallways were many and confusing. A nice touch was their key system, which used a simple device waved over a pad. It wasn't only easy to use, it also kept track of people's movements and when they had their meds. There was a pool, but sadly my mom isn't much of a swimmer. The activities seemed a bit too rowdy for her as well. The outside walking paths were uneven and the gardens, although well-kept, were just average. The facility is pretty far from our place, so visiting her would take long. This place would work better for folks living in north Fresno. In summary, while Fairwinds was high-end and well-run, it felt too much like a hotel. We're really looking for something that feels a bit more like home for my mom.

"Major Decline in Quality at Formerly Top Ranking Facility"
Assisted living facility falls short in numerous ways. My mother considered living here two years ago, but we decided against it, and she lived with me temporarily. However, after an incident, we are exploring options again. Unfortunately, Fairwinds' quality has drastically declined. Staff and management changes have negatively impacted it. I saw a worker talking disrespectfully to a resident, something I found wholly unacceptable. I could never expose my mother to such a risk. Also, the food quality has dropped and the facility's cleanliness is below my expectations. Given its cost, Fairwinds is simply not an option for us any longer.

"Clean Facility with Friendly Staff but Limited Transportation"
The place is clean and amazing, but it's very expensive. They don’t provide much transportation for city events. There aren’t many activities scheduled outside the facility. However, the staff is really friendly.

"Clean, friendly, good food, but some layout concerns"
This place looked very nice during our tour. It was clean, and all the staff were friendly. The food looked better than at some other places we saw. I wasn't a fan of their meal plan, where residents order from a big menu but have a limited monthly budget. I worried my loved one might use up her budget too quickly. They have many floor plans, but some were small and didn’t have balconies. The assisted living areas were spread out, which made the care staff seem a bit too divided. Overall, it's a very nice place!

"Very impressed, but didn't see any caregivers"
We were really impressed and ready to move Dad in. Later, we realized we should have asked more questions. While we were there, we didn't see any caregivers. We want to keep looking.

"Friendly staff, clean place, good food, lots of activities."
Both of my grandparents, who are over 90, moved to Fairwinds. We chose it because the people are very friendly and nice. The community is clean and well-kept. My grandparents enjoy the food, saying it's pretty good. Fairwinds offers many activities, including a swimming pool. It was an easy choice for us to pick Woodward Park Fairwinds.

"A Disappointing Experience - Can't Recommend"
My family member was left unattended and unhelped by the staff here. I'd only suggest this place if someone can 100% fend for themselves. Really rough experience with Fairwinds that's tough to even discuss.
