"Lack of Hygiene Concerns at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff is nice, but I'm worried my loved one isn't getting showers or changed. I often have to switch their clothes, and sometimes it seems they've worn the same outfit for days.

"Caring Staff and Secure Environment Food Options Could Be Better"
The staff at the assisted living facility are very caring. They take good care of the residents and are loving people. The community is well-maintained and secure, which is nice. My mom sometimes complains about the frequency of green beans served, but she hasn't asked for alternatives, which I think they would try to provide if she did.

"Top-Notch Care and Compassion"
I really like this place for taking care of my loved one. The staff were super nice and caring. The community was clean, and she enjoyed the activities. The meals were healthy with a good variety. We would recommend this place to other families.

"Limited Staff and Odd Smell, Decent Rooms and Furniture"
We weren't thrilled with how many people one staff member has to look after. It's a little concerning that there's only one licensed nurse on the team. The place was neat, but it had a weird smell. The workers seemed nice, but they were hard to find. The rooms were a good size, the furniture they gave was okay, but not the best.

"Dismal Care and Hygiene in Assisted Living Facility"
The service at this assisted living has been extremely disappointing. What I blame the most is that they only have about 2 or 3 caregivers per 22 residents, many of which need extra help getting around because they use wheelchairs. The cleanliness of this place is seriously lacking. It feels like I do more cleaning than the actual staff does. The trash cans are usually filled to the top with soiled diapers. The bathrooms are often not clean and urine trails can be spotted around the room. It's like walking into a sticky movie theater. And the room? It always smells. My dad, who is a resident here, frequently misses the toilet and they were made aware that he would need help with this aspect of his life. This was one of the main reasons he needed professional help and couldn't continue living at home. On most mornings, we find him still dressed in his day clothes, sometimes even with his shoes on. It actually took 11 days and a firm call from me to finally get him a proper bath. As if that is not enough, they leave him with dirty undergarments on the weekends, signifying that they probably didn't check him the entire time. Right now, a hospice service has been stepping in to make things a little better. If not for them, it would have been entirely up to me to take care of him, and honestly, that's not feasible. And the food? It's usually canned, boxed items that are lukewarm and dry. Not once have they served fresh food. Their advertisements definitely make the place seem better than it is. So, I advise you - put your loved ones here only if you can keep a constant eye on them, or if extra help from hospice can be secured.

"Good care and activities would recommend for similar needs"
My dad's short stay at this facility went well. They had activities to keep him busy, and the meals were okay for him. I also had his home caregiver take him to the library. Overall, they did a good job meeting his needs. I was happy with their service and would likely use them again or suggest them to others.

"Nice Workers, But More Staff and Better Food Needed"
This place needs more staff. They seem to lose employees fairly quickly. The folks who work here are really nice, but the meals aren't that great.

"“Mixed Bag: Care Staff Good, Management Not So Much”"
The facility’s director doesn’t really follow their mission statement. The care staff is good, but the management is terrible. They focus too much on business and not enough on caring for people. The place is clean, but it feels a bit like a hospital, especially for Lompoc. I’d recommend looking elsewhere before choosing this team – you won’t get your money’s worth.

"Consider Other Options, Not Worthy of Your Money"
Managers at this place don't seem to care about their purpose. The nurses are awesome, but the people in charge are awful. They appear to only be interested in the money, not in really looking after folks. The building is clean, but it feels more like a hospital than a home. It's fine for Lompoc, I guess. I'd definitely suggest looking in a different town before you move anyone in here. THE PEOPLE RUNNING IT AREN'T WORTH WHAT YOU'RE PAYING.

"Needs More Space and a Home-like Environment"
It seemed too similar to a hospital. We're looking for a place that provides more room and allows for more independent living - like a full bathroom, more privacy, and a setting that feels more like home.
