"Misleading promises, lacking professionalism in assisted living facility."
They say things you want to hear to get you to join and then they just do whatever they want. They really need to get better at acting professional.

"Meals need improvement; no call button; billing communication problems."
The food needs to get better because some of us can't eat what they serve. Also, there's no button to call for help, so we have to find staff ourselves. And, there have been problems with the bills—they don't always communicate well or keep things organized.

"Assisted Living Needs More Staff and Better Communication"
This place is nice overall. But if your loved one has dementia, you have to be careful where they're placed. They need more staff here. My loved one wasn't kept busy enough, and the staff left them alone too much. They didn't communicate well with us either. They said my loved one didn't need more care, but later found out they were wrong. Always make sure to talk with the staff about anything you need.

"Mom Loves It Here!"
We picked this place for my mom after hearing good things and reading reviews. The food is like a restaurant’s. The place is always clean and well-kept. There are nice courtyards. The activities are amazing and have made my mom more active and social, like weekly concerts, tai chi, and field trips. They also help her get to her appointments. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

"Great Staff, Lots of Info, Mom Chose Differently!"
I had a good experience touring this place for my mom. The staff were really nice and explained everything well. They answered our questions and gave us lots of useful information. But my mom decided to go with a different place.

"Hard to Reach, Not a Fit"
I had a good tour of the community. The tour was professional, and I got all the details I needed. My main goal was to find a place close to me, but this community was hard to get to by bus. It did not fit our needs.

"Good facility, but location was a problem"
Fremont Hills was good! I liked what I saw during my visit. Although we couldn't pick this place because of its location, I wouldn't have had any issues putting my loved one here.

"Good care but deposit issues and few activities"
We visited this facility to look at their care options. We weren’t impressed with the memory care area. There didn’t seem to be many residents participating in activities. We were also unhappy because they cashed our deposit even though we hadn’t decided if we were moving in yet. The menu seemed good, but there didn’t seem to be as many activities as at other places. Families should definitely tour the facility before deciding on care for a loved one.

"Great experience with friendly staff and good meals!"
I recommend this place, especially for people with small dogs. It’s been a good experience. My loved one likes the meals. The staff is friendly and helpful. She hasn't joined any activities yet but is thinking about it for the future.

"A Friendly Tour!"
When I visited Fremont Hills, I found it to be a really nice place. The tour guide who showed us around was friendly and helpful. The facility itself was pleasant, but since my mother speaks Chinese, we needed a place that could cater to her language.

"Nice place, but better for folks who need less help"
This place looks really nice. But I've got to be honest: I wish the workers here understood better when people need a little more help. They don't really change the care for each person who lives here. It's hard to talk with a bunch of the staff here too. The food's alright and the place stays clean. They have stuff to do each day. I'd tell someone who doesn't need a lot of help all the time to think about living here. This is a good spot if someone is pretty self-sufficient.

"Comfort and Care at Fremont Hills Assisted Living"
After our mom was diagnosed with early-stage dementia, she didn't want to move from her home. But as time went by, it became harder for her to live alone. Losing her car keys was tough, and her memory and mobility issues made her realize living alone wasn’t safe. We looked at many assisted living places in Fremont and Union City before deciding on Fremont Hills Assisted Living. After our tour, we knew it was the right choice. Mom moved into a nice 1-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, big living area, and a large bathroom with a great view. From her first day, the staff and residents made her feel welcome. The dining room was clean, and the service was excellent. There’s a big patio for relaxing and celebrating, and many activities to keep everyone busy. Even as mom's health got worse, Fremont Hills provided excellent care. Mom lived there for 12 months before she passed away, and it brought our family comfort and peace. If you want top-notch care and comfort for your loved one, consider Fremont Hills Assisted Living.

"Fremont Hills: A Home Away from Home"
Making the decision to find care for a parent can be tough. My mom is 89, diabetic, and has memory issues. I was worried that what was advertised might not be true, but Fremont Hills exceeded my expectations. The staff, from the admin to the med techs, are wonderful, sincere, and skilled. The services they offer made me confident that my mom would have a community and an active life. They even helped her get used to the activities and meet new people, so she wouldn’t feel abandoned or rejected. She truly feels like part of the community. The facility is clean, bright, and nicely decorated, with great dining options. I’m so glad I chose Fremont Hills for my mom. It gives me peace of mind knowing she’s well taken care of, and I’m always welcome to join in. I don’t know what I would have done without Fremont Hills.

"Best option for Dad in Fremont, CA"
This facility offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care all in one place. It's pet-friendly and provides local transportation. It's in Fremont but isn't as convenient as Brookdale or Aegis. The deluxe studio costs $3,750 a month, and services cost $500 a month. So far, it's probably the best option for Dad that I've seen in California.

"Great care and a nice room, despite some cable issues"
Fremont Hills was really great. There was a lot of paperwork, almost like signing for a new mortgage. But they made it as easy as they could. He had a nice room, even though the basic cable was pretty bad. When I dropped him off, we had lunch and got him settled in. In just an hour, five different caregivers came by to see if he needed anything. I was very happy with this place.

"Freemont Hills fails in providing quality care"
Freemont Hills didn't live up to expectations. The staff there seemed unsure of how to appropriately assist my mom after her stroke, causing her a lot of pain. Despite my attempts to discuss the issue with them, they were unreceptive to feedback. Only when they realized we were planning to leave did the head nurse finally take notice. Their performance in providing care definitely merits a low grade. They were given the chance to improve their service, but they chose not to act on it. Suffice to say, my experience with Freemont Hills was wholly unsatisfactory.

"Great individual care in a smaller, attentive memory care facility"
At Fremont Hills, the staff really takes good care of him. They seem to genuinely care about his well-being. I’m not sure about the number of activities they offer since it’s a memory care facility. I've noticed the residents watching TV and spending time outside. Since it’s a smaller place, I hope they’re giving more individual attention. It seems like he’s getting more one-on-one care, which was a big reason I chose this facility. I’m not there all the time to see everything, but I haven’t had any big problems so far.

"Fremont Hills Exceeds Expectations for Safety and Comfort"
After checking out many places, Fremont Hills turned out to be perfect for both me and my mom. She has been there for seven months, and everything has gone smoothly. The place is clean, welcoming, and has great food. The staff is caring, and there are lots of activities, which makes me feel very good about her staying there. Her safety was the main reason for the move, and it’s turned out even better than we hoped. Plus, being in Fremont is great—it’s close enough for visits but far enough that we don’t have to visit too often.

"Scouted with Soph: No Garden, Majority Chinese, No Two Bedrooms"
Checked it out with Soph. The place has a great place to eat outside, but there's no garden or area for walking. About one third of the people living there are Chinese, so maybe Mom and Dad would be better off staying near Danville. They also don't have any two bedroom places.

"Clean and Friendly, But Lacked Details"
The place was clean, and the staff was very friendly. However, when we picked her up, we didn’t get any feedback. I wanted details about what she liked or didn’t like, and what worked or didn’t. She was glad to leave, but we didn’t know why. We chose them because they were the only ones offering a short stay.

"Very nice place, but too far for us"
This is a very nice place. I would have considered it, but it's too far away. All my mom's doctors and support are in the Sunnyvale and Santa Clara area. Moving her and everything she needs would be too much. I recommend it to families who live closer to Fremont.

"Almost Perfect for Mom, But Not Quite"
The place seemed really good for my mom. It was clean, airy, and everyone was friendly. But there were two problems: First, the staircase was too easy for mom to reach, and she might fall. Second, it was too far for both me and my sister, one of us lives in San Francisco and the other in San Jose. Otherwise, it would have been the best choice for mom. But for now, she's staying at home and not ready for assisted living yet.

"We really like Fremont Hills!"
We really like Fremont Hills! The place is great. The staff is quick to help and always ready to address any concerns right away. When we visited, we met with the director and the social coordinator, and they were super friendly. There are many med techs, caregivers, and directors on site, and they've always returned our calls within an hour. They offer lots of activities, but most are for people who need more stimulation. While many residents enjoy movie nights and Bingo, my dad, who is more active, is looking for something more engaging.

"Good Facility, but with Similar Security Concerns as Aegis"
This place is pretty good, but like Aegis, their doors aren't very secure. If she escaped, she'd end up on Mission Blvd.
