"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility Experience"
The director and the former kitchen manager seemed pretty heartless. They were just too cold and distant. I tried to tell the director about foods that I can't eat because of my health issues, but she didn't seem to care. I feel like because I am the youngest one living here, no one takes me seriously. The director advises me to take a walk and dismisses my concerns saying it's all in my mind. I'm struggling, honestly. The new cooks, though, are really great. They listened to what I shared about my food restrictions and are doing their best to accommodate me. So, this place has its ups and downs. There are some staff members here who truly do their best. One downside, however, is the fact that they need to replace the washing machines. They are ancient and rusty, and they don't clean them every single day. I don't even feel like doing laundry in them. Still, the facility owner is understanding and I appreciate him. The manager, on the other hand, seems to care about this place only as a business. Their secretary is fantastic and I really think highly of her. All the residents here are good people, but I'm concerned about how the facility is feeding them. They serve teenager-like food, which isn't okay. On the bright side, my apartment here is great. It's spacious, with a kitchenette and a wonderful patio letting in nice sunlight. The bedroom's size is great and the bathroom is large and pleasant.

"Adjusting Well, Food Not So Much"
My father-in-law is getting used to Glen Terra and joining some activities. However, he isn’t a big fan of the food.

She helped me find Glen Terra, a wonderful place for my dad. It was great that it was only 5 minutes from my house. She made me feel confident during the tough process of finding a good place for my dad. I can’t thank her enough. If you get to work with her, you’re in good hands. Thank you so much! Glen Terra is family-owned and operated. When I first visited, the owner, Haikuhe, was there for an event. She greeted me and stayed until someone could give me a tour. She was amazing and made my dad’s move to Glen Terra easy and comfortable. The staff is well-trained and always ready to help. The food is great, thanks to their chef who caters to the residents’ special requests. I felt very confident my dad was in good hands, and he was. He spent his last days there, and the hospice company was amazing. Glen Terra’s staff worked perfectly with the hospice providers

"Perfect Fit for My Sister – She Loves It Here"
I also needed help finding a new home for my sister. This place made her feel at ease. It’s not too big, so she doesn’t feel far away from others. The residents are friendly and there aren't many small groups. She’s made a new friend and is very happy. The community is smaller and everything is nearby. It’s a perfect fit for her and easy for me to visit.

"Lovely place, but costs are too high."
This place is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and knows a lot. I think it’s better for residents who are more independent than my mother-in-law. They can take care of her, but the extra costs for services make it too expensive.

"Above My Budget!"
The community was nice. The tour guide knew a lot and was friendly. The staff made us feel welcome. The overall look of the community was okay. But, when it came to the cost, it was more than I could afford.

"Brother's happy and well-cared-for at this community!"
My brother likes this community a lot. He has adjusted well and is treated with care. He hasn't had any issues with cleaning; everything is kept nice and tidy. He is happy here, which makes me happy too. Overall, things are going well for him, and I would recommend this place.

The staff here are terrific and thoughtful. The place is well maintained. The new management team is working hard to improve everything. I'm very pleased. Jack from A Place for Mom introduced us to this facility. He's a great guy, and we appreciate his hard work and professionalism.
