"Lack of Care and Overpriced Services at Assisted Living Facility"

Moving my family member into this place was a complete disaster. The workers didn't pay my loved one any attention. There were no fun activities for them to do. It felt like they were taking too much money from me. I don't believe other families should be subjected to this place, and it shouldn't even be running. It's clear their main concern is simply making money.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility Visits"

The assisted living facility lets you visit loved ones in the entryway. Sometimes it's tough to hear the staff because of their masks. Overall, I'd suggest it to anyone searching.

"Personalized Care in Small Community"

My loved one has been here for a few months. The care feels more personal than in larger communities. Golden Hills Care Home has 6 residents and offers individual rooms or shared options.

"Not Ideal for Mom"

The cost was too high for our budget. The room was small, with limited space for personal items. The owner and staff were friendly, but it wasn't a good fit for Mom.

"A Caring and Comfortable Home"

I like that the staff understand the care my mom needs. She is doing well since moving in. Mom enjoys a family meal environment and hasn't complained about the food. She can't join in the activities, but they take her to the front patio. It's very nice, and she likes watching the birds. The home is clean, and my mom is always nicely dressed with her hair combed.

"Clean, cozy assisted living with friendly staff and reasonable pricing."

Nice clean home. The price is fair, but the place is a bit small, so there's not a lot of space to move around. The owner and caregivers are very kind.

""Extra Charges, Limited Assistance, and Absentee Chefs at Care Home""

If your family member requires night-time assistance or has any difficulty walking, this is not the location for their care. Despite claiming to provide 24/7 service, they levy extra charges for any help needed during off hours. They assist in medication administration but do not ensure the necessary follow through to guarantee proper intake. At first glance, the facility seems clean and pleasing. However, you will realize none of their clients populate the common living area—they are all confined to their private rooms. My own mother was a resident here and we later discovered this is uncommon for such settings. At every facility we explored subsequently, residents were actively engaging in the living area with their aides. Despite being touted as a chef, I never had the opportunity to meet the owner's wife.

"Avoid if Nighttime or Mobility Help Is Needed"

Don't choose this spot if your family member needs nighttime help, or if they struggle with mobility. This place charges more for any services needed after normal hours, even though they promote themselves as a 24/7 care facility. They might help with medication but won't ensure your loved one takes it. The place appears clean and pleasant upon first look, but you'll soon notice all the residents are in their rooms, not the communal living area. We learned this isn't typical of all senior homes. After seeing other places where residents happily interact with caretakers in communal areas, we realized our mistake. I never even met the owner's wife, who was supposedly a 'chef.'

"Director earns praise for knowledge and supportive care in basic home"

I truly admire the Director. He's well-informed about healthcare and can help the family, providing things my Aunt requires. The way they manage the medications is also commendable. The house may be ordinary, but it meets the requirements.

"Clean, friendly, and helpful – great tour of the home!"

We visited the home, and it was easy to find. It was very clean and smelled fresh! The caretakers, a lady and a gentleman, were friendly. The owner was really nice, too. She answered all our questions and explained everything about the home.

"Friendly owner shares stories, small rooms, great backyard"

The owner is super friendly and shares stories about the residents. The room is a bit small for two people, with a tiny shared closet and dresser. The shower is also small and has a step to get in. They have friends who are doctors and nurses for emergencies. The owner's wife is a chef and teaches the staff. They encourage residents to walk. There's a big, grassy backyard with a huge orange tree. The owner or his wife is usually on site.
