"Budget-Friendly and Responsive Assisted Living; Food Presentation Needs Improvement"
This assisted living facility offers good value for the cost. They respond promptly when called or asked questions. The food, however, is not very appealing. The dishes lack color and variety. For example, one dinner consisted of cauliflower, chicken with a sauce that matched the color of cauliflower, and possibly mashed potatoes, all of which looked similarly pale. My Father in Law dislikes the food and requests a hamburger daily instead, which they provide, though it may not be the healthiest option for him.

"Great location, friendly staff, average meals; needs better issue resolution."
We chose this place because of where it is, how much it costs, and what they offer. The building is nice, the people who work here are nice, the caretakers are good, and the location is great. The food is okay. They could be better at communicating and solving problems.

"Good activities, field trips; staff requested hard-to-find equipment."
This community offers great activities and field trips for clients. Staff requested an electric Hoyer lift, which was challenging for us to find.

"Clean and Limited Interaction"
The place was nice and super clean. I only talked to the front desk or the director. Unfortunately, I couldn't tour during my visit.

"Effortful Care at Grossmont Gardens"
Grossmont Gardens, located in La Mesa, boasts beautiful grounds. The staff is very kind, and although the building is slightly outdated, they’re actively working on improvements. The food department puts in a lot of effort, and the facility is safe, caring, and responsive. With plenty of activities, it remains a better value than most private pay options.

"Rooms in Separate Buildings Pose Challenge for Residents"
Our family visited this assisted living facility in person. The main problem we noticed was that the rooms were spread across different buildings, and residents had to go outside to reach the dining and activity area.
