Horizon Dos Elderly Care Home

"Invest In A Cookbook, Horizon!"
My Mom's 6-week stay at Horizon was in a cozy and clean home. The issue we had was with the food. We were shocked at how low-quality the meals were. Mac and cheese made in a box mixed with Spam, hot dogs with beans, and lots of soup was what was served all the time! I really thought that for $1,000 a week, they would serve healthier, home-cooked meals. It was quite a letdown. None of the other people living there could voice this, so it was like they fed them just whatever. But my mom isn't the type to complain. Now that she's back home, I'm voicing our dissatisfaction to Horizon. They should consider getting a cookbook and learning recipes. For example, mac and cheese can be cooked using real cheese, milk, and butter - not the fake orange stuff in the box. There's a sea of healthy recipes that are easy to cook using a simple slow cooker. I hope this review helps other folks decide on the care for their loved ones.
