"Mixed Experience at Huntington Terrace"
My dad is doing really well at the Huntington Terrace community, and it's been an amazing improvement for him. However, the paperwork and insurance process have been a bit challenging. Unfortunately, there's no place to rate that here.

"Convenient location and amenities, but some issues with location."
This place caught our attention because of the swimming pool and water exercises, plus they offer a personal sports coach who can help with physical therapy. He even leads stretching classes five days a week. The building looks nice, and it's situated near my sister's home and workplace. Right now, though, the location is causing some problems for us.

"Mixed Feelings About Huntington Terrace"
I didn’t like Huntington Terrace. The place was really old, and as soon as we walked in, it smelled like a nursing home. We were searching for assisted living for my active loved one, not because he needs a lot of help, but due to his declining vision. So, he’ll probably need more care in the future. There just wasn’t much going on there. The other residents seemed to need more assistance than him. Plus, the resident population was mostly women (which I know is because women generally live longer). We also didn’t like how their apartments were set up. Huntington Terrace felt like more than what we wanted for him at the time.

"Great facility but too expensive for needed assistance level."
This place was really nice, but it cost too much for all the help my loved one would have needed. It looked very modern and new, but I knew it was too expensive for us to afford.

"Pleasant Assisted Living Facility for Beginners"
The staff was super nice and got that we're new to checking out places for seniors who need some help. HT seemed cool; it looked like a hotel, not a boring old nursing home. It was neat and everyone was nice. The place for folks with memory issues was comfy and made us feel welcome.

"Great tour, friendly staff, dog-friendly, nice pool and green areas."
I really liked my tour of Huntington Gardens today. The staff was super friendly and made my daughter-in-law and me feel very welcome. I loved the green areas where I could picture sitting outside and enjoying the weather. The pool is great too, with water aerobics for the residents. It's very dog-friendly, and there’s lots of space to walk them without leaving the apartments. This is definitely a top choice for when I move.

"Huntington Terrace is a perfect fit for my mom"
From the moment I walked into Huntington Terrace, I knew it was the right place for my mom. I promised myself I wouldn’t let her live somewhere I wouldn’t stay. Huntington Terrace is clean, and the staff and management are so friendly, making the move easy. Moving is never simple, but everyone—from staff to management—handled the small stuff, like helping with moving carts, parking, and maintenance. They made sure everything we needed was taken care of. My mom is still adjusting but has already made new friends and is joining in some of the many activities. She says the food is good, the staff is kind, and she loves the Wii bowling. It's been a big change, but everything is going well. I’m very thankful for all the help and care she gave. My brother and I are sure we’ve found the right place for her.

"Brackets"
[Removed]. The recent online reviews seem suspicious. Any resident actually living here can tell you how the new manager really acts and they don't buy into the [Removed]. Residents wouldn't keep leaving if everything was as awesome as claimed. My dad has been here over a year and things just haven't improved. The only good bits are the stellar carestaff and fantastic food. I'd suggest anyone looking for a good home for their loved one to check out a range of places. Don't just trust the reviews. Visit these places and ask the residents, their families and the staff what they really think..."

"Thrilled with the new management at Huntington Terrace"
I don’t get the bad reviews… My aunt has been living at Huntington Terrace for a few years and she loves the new manager. She says he’s much more helpful and takes care of any concerns right away. We’re really happy with the new management and have only good things to say about our experience and my aunt’s. It’s great to see some of the “bad apples” are gone now.

"Feels like home, with great care and food!"
My best friend, who has lived at Huntington Terrace for 8 months, loves it! I visit her weekly, and she can't stop praising it. She really likes the new manager, who helps all the residents and even delivers the paper at 6 a.m. every day. He’s always available and friendly if she has questions. The care staff are very sweet and attentive. She feels at home here. The food is great, and I enjoy eating there with her. I’m thinking of selling my condo and moving in myself.

"Staff and resident turnover at Huntington Terrace alarming."
My friend's mom took a fall recently, and it became clear she needed extra help. So, I decided to take her to Huntington Terrace, a place my own mom had stayed a few years back, to get an idea of the place. To my shock, none of the faces I remembered from my mom's stay were around. Upon reaching, we were told nobody was around to show us around the premises or answer any of our queries, and we need to come back another day! We decided to explore a bit on our own, and chanced upon snippets of conversations among the staff. It was unsettling to overhear that many residents were moving out. To top it all, one of the caregivers mentioned she was searching for a new job so she could leave. Honestly, it was embarrassing. I'm sure she won't be eager to make another visit. I'm left wondering: what the heck went wrong?

"Safety concerns at Huntington Terrace Assisted Living Facility"
My family member has been living at Huntington Terrace for more than a year. Recently, I've noticed that it's not as safe as it used to be. Most of the staff are great - they're kind and know what they're doing. But, the higher-ups aren't managing things well lately. If your loved one needs special care because of mental problems that come with old age, I wouldn't suggest this place. They won't get the proper care and help they need.

"Change in Management Ruins Great Assisted Living Facility"
My mom has been living at Huntington Terrace for over three years. It's been fantastic. The nursing and caretaking staff are phenomenal. The food and activities are constantly top-notch. A few months ago, a change in management happened and everything shifted. Many of the stellar, reliable staff and managers are gone now, replaced with unskilled individuals, starting from the very top. It's a real letdown, since this facility was wonderful for so long. Now, I find myself looking for a new place for my mom. It's incredibly frustrating.

The best part about this place is how yummy their meals are! I ate a few times with my wife, and we both liked them a lot. "Amazing Place for Our Parents!"
From our first visit to Huntington Terrace, we were really impressed. The caregivers, staff, restaurant helpers, and even the residents all seemed happy and upbeat. This was a big reason we decided to place our 92-year-old parents there. The vibe was positive, happy, and welcoming. We checked out several other places in the area, but Huntington Terrace was the perfect fit. The chef makes delicious meals with lots of choices that change every day. Our folks weren’t eating well before, but the great food here has encouraged them to eat. They say it’s like being on a cruise ship. With no meals to plan or cook, Mom is in heaven. We were worried about them adjusting to a new community, but it hasn’t been a problem at all. The staff encourages them to join activities, and the other residents are so friendly and welcoming. They’re slowly getting out and about. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The monthly cost isn’t cheap, but the location, accommodations, activities, and extra care available make Huntington Terrace very special. It made the tough move from independent living to assisted living so easy for Mom and Dad.

"Happy with Huntington Terrace: great food, lively atmosphere, and clean."
Huntington Terrace is a wonderful place for seniors. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, the food in the dining room is high quality and rivals many restaurants, and the atmosphere is lively. Compared to other facilities in the area, Huntington Terrace has more activity around the lobby. They offer a variety of activities, from wienie roasts to wine tasting! They are dedicated to the residents' safety and well-being. The building is well maintained and very clean, all at a reasonable cost.

"Dad enjoys food, activities, and great care at this facility"
My father was sick when he moved into "Connections for Living" a month ago. The doctors at another facility thought he had dementia, but he actually had a serious infection. "Connections for Living" was the right place for him at that time. Erica and her staff gave him the care he needed. He was assessed at a level 4, which covered bathing, transport, medication, and the cost of the room. He loves the food and enjoys joking and laughing with the staff. He now moves around by himself in his wheelchair. He was reassessed and will soon move to Assisted Living. He only went on one outing to the beach, but he enjoyed it. He also joined several activities at "Connections for Living" (like singing and "balloon volleyball") and Assisted Living (such as Hawaiian singers & dancers and BBQ), and he had a lot of fun. He is excited about his move.

"Excellent Care at Huntington Terrace Connections"
My mom lives on the first floor of Connections, which is for memory care patients. She is very happy there. The director, Ericka Koester, and her staff are super caring and go above and beyond for all the patients. I’m so thankful to all the caregivers who give my mom an extra hug or share a laugh with her. The food is really good, and the place is very clean with lots of areas to enjoy and plenty of programs and activities. I highly recommend Huntington Terrace Connections. Your family member will be treated with excellent and loving care.

"Not the Right Fit for Mom"
They were super nice and great to work with. They couldn't have done anything more than they did. I felt really happy with the place. Huntington Terrace is a really nice spot, but it didn't quite suit my mom. Some of the residents have dementia, and the staff does an excellent job caring for them. Unfortunately, my mom doesn't have dementia, so she needed to be around others she could chat with.

"Friendly staff and great service, but dining needs improvement"
The facility is very clean and the staff is friendly. They interact well with the residents and treat them nicely. The food is good, but the service could be better. The waitstaff isn’t the best, and the cleaners don’t quite meet my standards; the bathroom is clean, but they don’t vacuum thoroughly. The hallways and public areas are very clean and organized. The people there are friendly and engage a lot more compared to other places I checked out. They excel at taking residents to different places, and I am very impressed with that.

"Good with minor hiccups"
Overall, it’s good, but there are some issues. The caregivers seem a bit short-staffed, and sometimes it takes 15 minutes for them to respond to calls for care. They have a new walk-in tub, but the staff isn’t trained to operate it yet. On the bright side, the staff is very friendly.

"Good Place, Needs More Professional Care"
The folks working here are super kind and the facility stays tidy. But I feel like my family member requires a more intense level of medical support than they can give. It'd be great to have a few extra certified nurse's assistants around. They've got helpers to lend a hand, but some people there need a bit more medical care than they get. That said, they had a spot available when we were in a tight spot and really needed it, and overall, the place itself is pretty good.

"Caring and Convenient Assisted Living"
The staff at Huntington Terrace is very professional and understands the emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the seniors living there. The administrative staff was very helpful in choosing accommodations for my two parents who needed assisted care after medical emergencies. The facility is clean, attractive, and offers many services. The meals are nutritious, change daily, have alternative choices, and the dining room staff knows each resident's needs and preferences. The caregiving and nursing staff is well trained and follow a good structure. I am very happy that my family members are there. It is centrally located with pharmacies and medical facilities nearby. Shopping is close too. The facility has daily activity schedules that residents can choose from, including bus trips for shopping and sightseeing.

"Inviting and Calm Assisted Living with Minor Drawbacks"
This place is pretty and quiet both indoors and outdoors. They have a nice patio or terrace, and the food they serve is like what you'd get in a restaurant, and it's healthy. The only problem is that the shower has a high step over, which isn't great. Also, if you want extra services beyond the basics like managing your medicine, it costs more. They charge for personal laundry service, but they do have laundry facilities you can use yourself. One downside is that the rug had a smell to it. Still, overall, the residents seem happy here. There are about 160 people living here and around 100 staff members.
