"Convenient Care Home Offers Medical Assistance and Limited Staffing"

I liked that the owner moved my brother to her care home, saving me trips. She and her husband drove him in their van. I also appreciated them handling his medical appointments since I don't live nearby. There are only two caregivers for about 8-9 residents. Julie mentioned she can have that many because she has two licenses. I'm not sure what that means, though some residents seemed fine and not too old to me.

"Appreciate Assistanced Living Care, Concerned About Caregiver Ratio"

I appreciated it when the owner of the care home moved my brother into her place, so I didn't have to keep driving him from different places. The owner and her husband were kind enough to use their own van. Another positive thing is that they look after my brother's medical appointments, which is good because I don't live close by. I did notice, though, that there were only two caretakers for around 8 or 9 people living there. The owner, She told me she can look after that many people because she has two licenses, but I'm not sure what she meant. Some of the residents looked okay to me, and didn't seem all that old.

"Cozy Community Provides Personal Attention and Good Company"

My sister decided to switch to Julie's Care Home from another place near San Francisco. It's smaller and has younger folks compared to other options we looked at. She's getting more attention that way, and it seems to be working for her. She enjoys the food and gets along with most of the other people there. Everything's been going well so far!

"Decent Assisted Living Facility with Some Room for Improvement"

This place is neatly set up in a great location, about 5 miles away from Ctown. It's a small community with only 14 residents and a staff of two full-timers, plus one part-timer. The facility is kept clean and doesn't have any strong bad smells. The woman in charge is really friendly and caring towards the residents. The staff generally have good attitudes and really listen to any concerns. Accessible outdoor areas are nice and they even host activities there, though the cost for these is on the residents. They give out meals three times daily at 8am, 11am, and 4pm with a lot of Chinese food on the menu. On the downside, the living quarters downstairs have only 1.5 bathrooms for about half the residents and they don't have any safety bars. There are emergency exits but none of these are near the beds. They do provide care and manage medication, but the care is only as needed, which might not be enough for some. The house has a kitchen upstairs and there are stairs throughout and it's placed on a hill, which might be hard for some residents as well. Also, they could improve the bathroom facilities. When moving out, more information would be helpful.
