"Just Right for Her"
I checked out around 8 places. This one is close to the hospital and her doctors. The layout around the courtyard is nice. It's just the right size for her; some other places I saw were too big, and the rooms or apartments felt overwhelming.

"Great Care and Amazing Staff!"
The assisted living facility is really helpful. It’s close to a nursing home and a hospital. The billing department responds quickly. They charge residents based on their care needs, so evaluating your loved one properly is crucial. The groundskeeper and maintenance staff are terrific, and the dietician is very accommodating. The head nurse is amazing.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short of Expectations"
They really try hard to make the community look good. They say you get a lot for your money each month, but there are extra charges for things like cleaning and new linens that they don't do as well as they say. Some things have even gone missing from my loved one's room. They say they work with hospice, but we end up relying more on hospice than on the community for care. We expected the community to take better care of our loved one. It would be better if all the staff gave the same answers. Not all of them are LVN-certified nurses.

"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living: Nice Staff, Clean Facility"
This place is really nice. The people who work there are friendly. The memory care area is also nice and kept clean. But watch out, because the prices online might not be the same as what they tell you at the facility.

We really liked the staff we met when we visited this community. Everything looked clean, and they have nice amenities and activities. Plus, they allow pets and offer transportation services.

"Felt like home, friendly staff, beautiful spaces"
This place felt like the right match for us as soon as we walked in. It’s big, but not too big, with lots of windows and sunlight. They offer respite care instead of just long-term assisted living. The staff and people were very friendly and professional. The outdoor spaces were beautiful and well-maintained. Now we just need to see if we can manage the costs since insurance doesn't cover it.

"One Request Unfulfilled"
Respite care for 18 days. My sister didn’t need assistance with her medications, but due to her previous hospitalization and illness, we chose this facility as a precaution. The place is nice, and the staff is friendly. My only request was that my sister be seated at a dining table with people her age (around 55), not with those who needed feeding help. Unfortunately, she ended up with the latter, and I only found out after returning home. I wasn’t happy about it. We paid almost the same price for her 18-day stay as the monthly rate. Initially, I was told to bring a chair, lamp, TV, and other items, but when we arrived, the room was already furnished. It would have been helpful to know beforehand. Despite this, I might consider using this facility again because of the friendly staff. However, I received a phone call meant for someone else on the day I left my sister there. Perhaps negotiating a different rate based on individual needs is possible.

"Great care and value at this clean, new community"
I'm happy with the care my mom is getting here. The staff are friendly and really care. The place is clean and new. The menu has lots of choices, and they invite my mom to join activities. I recommend this community for great care and good value.

"Mixed Feelings: Nice Room & Facilities, Lack of Parking and Nearby Shops"
Parking here is hard to find because most of it is on the street and you can only park there for three hours at a time during the day. There were some smells that I didn't like and they were too strong for me. The library and common rooms were pretty tiny. There's nowhere to go close by like shops or places for fun. On the bright side, I had a nice room with a really big bathroom set up for people with disabilities. The place looks modern and the common room has nice furniture. I'm expecting a call from the person in charge of marketing next week to talk about more details.

"Tour Experience"
When I visited, there wasn’t anyone available to give me a tour. They should have had a backup plan. The community looked nice from what I saw. I didn’t like the menu because it didn’t have many choices or daily variety.

"An Enjoyable Full Tour"
The tour I scheduled was right on time, and the staff was ready to show me everything. It was a great tour, and the place became one of my top choices. It's newer and has a fancy look. The residents were friendly, but they didn’t seem super active from what I saw. They had no issue with me coming back with my family to take another look. After thinking it over, we felt it was a little too fancy and not the best fit.

"Happy Mom in Katella: Great Memory Care for Loved Ones"
My mom lived at Sunrise for about 5 years. She did some activities but not many. As her memory got worse, she did less and less, and she wasn't as happy. Moving her to Katella Senior memory care was the best choice I made. She's more confused now, but she's not as angry or paranoid. Plus, she's joining in on activities more. She really likes the music and exercise classes here. The people who run them are so excited about what they do, and it makes a big difference. The staff take time to get to know everyone, and they seem to really like them. This place is great for your loved one. It's wonderful!

"Highly Recommend for Social and Active Living"
It’s really nice there. My mom has friends now. I would recommend it. The staff is awesome, definitely 5 stars. It’s super clean, and the dining room is great. The residents have a calendar for activities. They have something to do every hour. Mom is hardly ever in her room; she’s always out and about. It’s awesome.
