"Poor Staffing and Cleanliness, Inflexible Visitation Rules at Facility"
This place really needs to improve how they hire and how many people they hire. I'm not a fan of it at all. They make you give a whole day's notice if you wanna visit and even then, only let you stay for a half hour. The living areas are messy. Sometimes, the people working there get snippy. If you try to call the social worker, don't expect a call back unless you're talking about money. My family member stays in bed all day with hardly anyone checking in.

"Wonderful facility with great leadership and lots of amenities"
Lakewood Park Manor is a lovely place with everything you need. They have a salon, a dining room with delicious food, a library, transportation, and much more. What makes this place special is the leadership. We visited Lakewood Park because we needed a change and felt nervous about it. After our visit, we wished we had done it sooner. If you're unsure, just call them, and you'll feel comfortable right away!

"Wonderful Experience from the Beginning"
Lakewood Park Manor has been wonderful from the beginning. The staff is friendly, caring, fun, and very easy to talk to. My grandparents really enjoy living here, where they can be independent but still get excellent care, tasty food, and lots of activities that keep them healthy, learning, and having fun. Whenever they need help or have questions, the staff is quick to respond and very helpful. I've found the same to be true when I ask about their care. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

"Fantastic facility with caring, friendly staff and good food!"
Lakewood Park Manor is fantastic! The staff is always professional, friendly, and helpful. I visit my dad often, even at odd hours, and the staff always provides top-notch care. They treat both the residents and me like family. I can't think of anything they do poorly. Even the food is good. Consider them when looking for assisted living options.

"Lakewood Park Manor: Disappointing Food, Residents Demand Better Chefs"
Lots of people have been unhappy with the food at Lakewood Park Manor for the past few years. They used to have really good chefs, but they were let go and replaced with ones that don't do so great, probably to pay less for salaries. The folks at LPM often leave the dinner table still feeling hungry because they didn't eat much of their meals. Also, the new owners are charging more for rooms, so shouldn't they be able to hire better chefs? Meal time should be fun and the food should be tasty. They shouldn't try to save money by skimping on the kitchen staff. They need to hire better chefs right away.

"Lakewood Park Manor: A Wonderful Place for Mom"
Before we moved my mom to Lakewood Park Manor, we checked it out carefully. We found it very clean, the staff cheerful and friendly, and the residents seemed very happy. Since she moved in, she has only had good things to say, and her health has even improved, even though she was already healthy. We are very happy with this place.

"Consider Other Options for Reliable Communication"
At first, the staff at this care facility seemed helpful and open. But once we agreed to move our family member in, it felt like we weren't getting the whole story. Recently, my loved one ended up in the hospital, and the facility didn't contact me. I only knew what happened after the hospital doctor called me. The facility admitted that it couldn't provide the care my loved one needed after his hospital stay, so he ended up staying at the hospital longer than necessary. The place looks neat and the food seems decent, according to my family member. They offer some activities and social clubs in the dining area. I chose this place mainly for its cost-efficiency and availability.

"Possible Future Home: A Short Review"
Our family member checked out Lakewood Park Manor as a possible place to live if she ever needed to leave her house in the future. She liked the place and thought it might be okay if she ever had to move. She met really nice people and even made some new buddies. The staff were really nice and always ready to help. She said the food was decent, but they could have offered more choices. They didn't seem to have options for people with special dietary needs. They did have some activities for the residents. But they didn't offer any trips or activities outside of the community while she was there. There was a small, outdoor area that some folks liked to use to smoke. I think others should check out this community – it might be just what they're looking for.

"Excellent Care and Support in a Warm Community"
My mom came here after her rehab from a fall, and she wasn't eating well. The staff here have been amazing. This place is very caring and has a lot to offer its residents. I would definitely recommend it.

"Lakewood Manor: Clean and Valued, But Needs Better Service"
Lakewood Park Manor has its good points, but it could definitely do better in some areas. The place is clean and well taken care of, and it's a pretty good deal. On the other hand, my dad still hasn't been moved to a different room even though we've asked several times. It's a room that would work better for him, but they haven't been very willing to make the change. Also, I feel they should be more welcoming to the families of the residents when they visit. It's little things like these they could work on.

"Mixed feelings, good care, room for improvement"
Choosing between work and caring for a parent at home is really tough. We chose this place for our dad, and he passed away within seven months. He got sicker, and I think the staff did their best for him. Dad couldn't see well, which made things harder for him. There weren't any activities for blind people, and you had to pay extra for one-on-one attention. His illness made him aggressive and scared as it got worse. Some situations with roommates made him more scared and less trusting of the staff. I noticed that moving Dad would sometimes hurt his legs, and the aides forgot to be gentle. The place was always clean, but it's an old building. I suggest this place, but I don't like the idea of sharing a room with a stranger. If you can, it's better to rent your own room. Thanks to the staff and aides for their help.

"Spotless and Welcoming!"
It's a super clean place, really well-maintained. The staff is friendly and quick to help when I need something. There are lots of fun activities, and my mom enjoys socializing with other residents. The food can be hit or miss, and some folks talk about things going missing from their rooms. But overall, it's a pretty good spot—I hope the theft rumors aren't true.

"A Friendly and Caring Home for Residents at Lakewood Park Manor"
My dad has been living at Lakewood Park Manor for almost 2 years now. He’s really happy there and was excited to return after spending time in the hospital and a skilled nursing facility. Lakewood Park Manor keeps us updated about my dad’s well-being and encourages family visits and togetherness for everyone. The team, including Eli, Becky, and Michelle, makes sure every resident feels like part of the Lakewood Park family. They offer lots of services, outings, and activities to meet each resident's needs. The caregivers and staff are friendly, caring, and always ready to help. If there’s ever a medication issue or if refills are needed, the medication staff will contact us right away. The rooms and common areas are always clean. The food is tasty and nutritious, and there’s a different menu available if someone wants a change. We would definitely recommend Lakewood Park Manor to anyone looking for a great place.

"A Disastrous Experience Wishing for Negative Ratings"
It felt like a prison, it was no fun at all. They gave him incorrect meds not once, but two times. Things got progressively worse. The assistant administrator acted like a dictator. As we were checking out, she had nothing but commands and there was no room for conversation. The meals were horrendous; they couldn't get them right.

"Mom's Happy, We're Happy"
Everything is great here. My mom has been there for 5 months, and she really loves it. She tends to keep to herself because of early dementia, but she still participates in activities and is making friends. The staff communicates well, and we haven't had any complaints. She seems much happier, and whenever we pick her up, she always asks when she can go back. She enjoys the peace and quiet. Before moving here, she was living with my sister, which was too overwhelming for her. This place takes excellent care of her, and we appreciate all they do.

"Affordable, Average Assisted Living"
This place is pretty much in the middle—not bad, but not amazing either. They make the most of what they’ve got. When you look at other places like this, they don’t cost too much, which is nice. All in all, it’s a decent spot. It’s not the best out there, but I’ve seen worse.

"Good Care, Good Activities"
They’re really nice, and everything seems pretty good. It’s worth the cost—can you even put a price on taking care of your mom? They have 36 people doing what I’ve been doing alone for the past two years, so it’s definitely worth it. While my mom doesn’t always follow their instructions, they do an excellent job taking care of her physical needs. They offer activities, too, although my mom hasn’t joined in yet because she’s upset about being there. From breakfast to dinner, they have a calendar full of things like bingo, knitting, crafts, and exercise classes—a reasonable amount of stuff for her to do.

"First Assisted Living Home Visit Disappoints with Lackadaisical Care"
The first senior care center we checked out was simply awful. I filled out a short form, but no one really sat down with us to get to know my mom. The place just didn't feel caring or friendly. It's not even on my list of options for my mom. They mentioned trips to WalMart and the 99 cents store when we asked about activities, but that was it.

"Convenient, Welcoming Assisted Living Facility Near Shops and Family"
This place provides weekly laundry services, daily fresh towels, and regular cleaning. They also administer medications and is conveniently located near the 105 freeway. The environment seems nice and pleasant. They provide a few furnishings and it is close to retailers like Target and Walmart, which are within walking distance. It is around 10 miles from Cecilia and 13 miles from family. A doctor's clearance authorization is required. During my unannounced visit, the Director was extremely welcoming, gave me a tour and readily answered all of my queries. This facility was my second choice.
