"Limited Interaction and Accessibility Concerns at Meadowview Assisted Living"
She was really helpful. The house sits on a tall hill with a very steep driveway. My dad walks every day, but he wouldn't manage that here. The place was very clean, and all the residents seemed well taken care of. Most of them were in wheelchairs, and they didn't interact much with each other. My dad loves to chat, even though it's harder for him now. I don't think Meadowview is the right fit for him. Please thank [name removed] for spending time with me.

"Homelike Community with Kind Staff and Good Meals"
The community has been wonderful for my parent. They receive good meals and kind treatment. Although the building is older, it's clean. The external area could be tidier, but I appreciate the smaller, homelike atmosphere.

"Homelike Setting with Good Care for Elderly Loved Ones"
My parent loves living here. They get treated nicely and yummy meals. The building's old but clean, though outside could be tidier. Picked it 'cause it's cozy and small.

"Meadowview: Strict Rules, Limited Food, Inconsistent Staff, but Quiet Location"
If you're thinking about putting a loved one in Meadowview, be prepared for the owner's firm rules. They only provide small amounts of food and no seconds. If you don't like their main meals like stuffed cabbage or fish, the only other choice is a PB&J sandwich. The staff can be hit or miss with their attitudes, and doing things their way seems to be the norm. According to my knowledge from the state Ombudsman for long-term care, residents should be able to choose their own bedtime, even if they want a different bedtime every day. Staff also shouldn't spy on residents' calls and report back to the owner. Meadowview's only saving graces are its peaceful location and services like pharmacy pick-ups and doctor's appointment transportation.

"Strict Owner Rules Loom at Meadowview, Despite Quiet Locale"
Looking into Meadowview for a loved one? Make sure you're okay with the owner's firm rules. The food portions are small and they don't give extras. If you're not a fan of the stuffed cabbage or fish, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are your only other choice. The staff can be unpredictable. It's best to just stick to their way of doing things. I learned from the Ombudsman for long-term care that residents have rights. They can choose their own bedtime, even changing it every day if they want, and staff aren't supposed to listen in on their calls and report back to the owner. It's not all bad - the neighborhood is calm, the staff gets medications from the pharmacy, and they provide transportation to doctor's appointments.

"Perfect Place for Dad"
Meadowview is just what my 94-year-old father needed. The care he gets is excellent. The staff can’t do enough to meet his needs. They are caring and really care about his health and well-being. Before living at Meadowview, he had little appetite and was pretty depressed. That changed in a week. The home-cooked meals are perfect for Dad. He gets stronger each day. The staff talk to my sister and me when needed. They keep asking how they can make Dad’s stay better. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants their loved one to get top-notch care 24/7.

"Meadowview: Perfect Place with Great Staff and Homey Feel"
Meadowview was a lifesaver for me. I needed a board and care facility for my mom, who had trouble moving around. It was the first place I visited, and even though I saw many other places, none were as good as Meadowview. When I first walked in, I felt at peace. It was the right place for my mom. I loved the homey feeling whenever I came by. The staff and owners are great. My mom really liked it there. Sadly, she passed away recently. If you need a place for your loved one, you should definitely check out Meadowview. I’m so glad A Place for Mom recommended it. Meadowview is perfect.

"A perfect place for my mom, highly recommended!"
Meadowview was a lifesaver for me. I needed to find a board and care facility for my mom, who had mobility issues. It was the first place I toured, and after seeing many others, none compared to Meadowview. The moment I walked in, I felt a sense of calm. It was the perfect place for my mom. I loved how it felt like "home" whenever I visited. The staff and owners are wonderful, and my mom really enjoyed being there. Sadly, she passed away recently. If you’re looking for a place for your loved one, you need to check out Meadowview. I’m so glad A Place for Mom gave me this referral. Meadowview is the perfect place.

"A Perfect Place for Auntie"
This place is great! They have nice rooms with their own bathroom. My aunt loves being able to go outside in a safe area. The group activities are fun too. Everyone seems willing to help. Choosing this place was the best decision for her.

"Reliable Care Despite Staffing Shortages"
The place is great at looking after the people there, but they're low on staff right now. So, sometimes, things get missed. Overall, the care they give is good, and I'd tell others about it.

"Cozy residential community with individualized care, worth considering for seniors!"
I visited this place when I was searching for care options for my family member. It's a smaller, home-like community, and after visiting a few in the area, I really liked this cozy atmosphere and the personalized care they offer. Even though I didn't choose this one, it's definitely worth checking out for anyone considering senior care nearby!

"Outstanding Care and Support"
They are amazing. Everyone there is so kind and helpful. They handle her Alzheimer's and dementia care really well. She’s much happier, and we’re happier too. The food looks and smells great, and we haven’t heard any complaints about it. When the doors open, only English is spoken to keep residents from feeling confused or left out. There are two people downstairs, so there’s care around the clock. They even helped us move her bedroom furniture with their truck, free of charge. They are always polite, keep us informed, and their mobile doctor is fantastic. We are thrilled with them; if it was a score from one to a hundred, they would get a 100!

"Good facility but early room time limits activities for some"
So far, things are going well. It’s an adjustment, but the facility has been really good. The only downside is that everyone goes to their rooms pretty early in the evening, and my mom finds it a bit confining. I think this would happen anywhere. Two of the residents are quite limited, and my mom is still very active. She wants to do more things, like going for walks or being outside, which is tough when others aren’t able to join. But again, I think this would be the case in any place.

"Great Tour and Friendly Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
The director met us at the door and had us use hand sanitizer before we went in - good practice! He introduced us to all the residents and gave us a thorough tour. All the caregivers spoke English and were easy to understand. They had a big dining room and a smaller one, plus a nice large family room. Each bedroom was private with its own bathroom. They also had a nice main bathroom for showers. The outside was nice too, with a gazebo in the backyard with a ramp. He said they take the residents there after lunch. They also have a nice wrap-around balcony with a bench. The medication cabinet was very organized, and they had several different menus they followed. This place is a perfect fit for my mom!
