"Friendly Atmosphere and Active Community at Merrill Gardens"

I visited three different places to find a good place for my mom. They were all nice, but Merrill Gardens stood out because everyone there, including the residents, makes eye contact and says hello. My mom has been living there for about two months now, and she really enjoys it. At first, she was hesitant, but now she exercises every day, plays bingo and cards, and has made many new friends. The staff there are also very nice and friendly.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Not Ideal for Younger Residents"

My sister's too young for Merril Gardens. She's got some memory issues, and even though we're paying extra for help, it took a whole month to get everything sorted out. The place is really clean, and the cost is fair, but it's just not designed for people in their 60s.

"Cozy and Friendly Assisted Living at Merrill Gardens"

I really like Merrill Gardens. It’s a small, clean, and new place. The apartment is the cutest I’ve seen, with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. The staff are super friendly and helpful. If you enjoy company, check it out!

"Great Place with Convenient Location!"

It’s a nice place. There are many people who participate. If your loved one is open to joining in, there are plenty of chances for that. The office staff can be a bit short sometimes and not as quick to respond as we’d like. The location is fantastic, with the park, senior center, Amazon Fresh, and library all just a short walk away.

"Nice Memory Care, Limited Outdoor Space; Not Ideal for Dementia"

Merrill Gardens had a bright memory care unit, but not much outdoor space. They wouldn't consider assisted living for someone with any level of dementia. It was a nice place, but ultimately not what we were looking for.

"Clean and Convenient Assisted Living"

The place is really clean. We chose it because it's close to home and fairly new. Overall, I'd recommend it.

"Mixed Experience at Merrill Gardens"

The manager doesn't interact with residents at the facility. Staff say she's hard to reach. When my mom fell, a contract worker didn't notify me until the next morning. The general manager's response was disappointing. Merrill Gardens' cost system puts residents at a disadvantage. I'd prefer the al a carte menu from other facilities.

"Second Choice with Beautiful Setting and Flexible Care Services"

Merrill Gardens was our second pick. It looked beautiful and nice, but my loved one couldn’t find an apartment layout he liked. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a 2-bedroom available at the time. Still, it was a wonderful place. I appreciated their a la carte care services since he’s quite independent.

"Beautiful Exterior, Understaffed Care: Regency Grand Assisted Living Review"

The Regency Grand seems stunning, with friendly staff. However, it lacks sufficient care and assistance, leaving residents underserved.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

I should have looked into it more. The place is on a bad street, so I wouldn't suggest it. They don't assist residents with shopping or getting to stores. The price is good. The manager and the lady at the front desk aren't friendly. However, the caregivers are kind.

"Fantastic facility with caring staff and great amenities."

My mom recently moved to Merrill Gardens in Huntington Beach, and it was the best decision. The facility is amazing, and the staff is excellent. The place is spotless. She had to move quickly after a fall, and the first facility was a big letdown. Her mental health was suffering, so I needed to find her a new home. Luckily, I found Merrill Gardens. At 93, she’s still active and mentally sharp. She moved into a lovely 1-bedroom with a full kitchen, which lets her keep baking, her favorite hobby. This change has made her very happy. It was hard for her to leave her old home, but having a full apartment helped with the move. The staff is very caring and treats her like royalty. This eases my worries since I can’t visit often due to COVID. The Director stayed in touch with updates during her first few weeks. She is also wonderful. The activities director knows all the residents and encourages them to join activities and socialize. For Thanksgiving, we decided it was safer for her to stay at the facility. She called me after dinner and was thrilled. Merrill Gardens prepared a fantastic meal that even impressed my picky mom. It sounds like it was even better than what I made at home. I’m very grateful to have found Merrill Gardens. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place for a loved one.

"Good Spot, but Overpriced and Not for Everyone"

The place is in a good spot but costs too much for what is provided. It's good for folks who always want to be moving and doing something. We weren't fans of the activities they had. Simply put, it wasn't our cup of tea.

"Friendly and Inviting Senior Living Community"

This place is beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make my daughter-in-law and me feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and airy, and the whole facility feels warm and inviting. We met some of the residents during our tour, and they were all very friendly. I would definitely consider moving here when it’s time for me to leave my home.

"Constantly Increasing Costs at Assisted Living Facility"

The prices advertised here aren't right. My family member stays in a single room and spends $5250 each month. This place has become an expert in charging extra - this cost only covers their lodging and meals. They keep raising the prices for other stuff like keeping track of meds, help with baths, and more. Just be ready for more and more expenses if you decide for your family member to live here!

"Mom Absolutely Loves This Place!"

My mom recently moved into this community, and she’s really happy with everything. [Removed] has been great to work with, and the staff overall have been super helpful during the transition. Mom loves the meals and enjoys the social atmosphere in the dining area. She’s also fully involved in activities like the book club and movies. Plus, she takes the shuttle to her doctor’s appointments. Overall, we couldn’t have chosen a better place for her, and I’d definitely recommend it to others.

"Not Worth the Price: Expensive Assisted Living Facility"

My favorite part of visiting this community was how modern and bright it felt. However, it was quite expensive compared to other places I toured for my mother. Unfortunately, I didn't see the value for the money spent.

"Bright and Cheerful Assisted Living: Perfect for Grandparents"

I visited many places before picking Merrill Gardens for my grandma. She really likes it there. It's bright, cheerful, and makes her happy. Plus, the food is really good!

"Loves It and Made Friends Quickly"

She loves it at Merrill Gardens at Huntington Beach. I was surprised at how well she adjusted. She started socializing, made friends, and joined in activities. I even found out I have friends there too, which is nice. The food is good, and the staff is very friendly.

"Best Place We Found by Far!"

I didn't get to see much of the care because she was only there for two weeks. However, when I was looking for a place, I visited about 10-15 places, and none were as good as this one. It's only been open for a year. The place is very bright with lots of windows, and the apartment was amazing.
