"Assisted Living Review"
The facility didn't have an orientation. Activities are okay. Food is great. They're renovating.

"Suitable for Simple, Independent Living; Lacks Social Activities"
This place is best for folks who like to live on their own. It doesn’t have much help for people who need assisted living. If you’re someone who likes to stay active and meet new friends, this might not be the spot for you. We chose this spot because it’s close to where my sister lives. It’s a cozy little place, which was perfect because my dad likes things straightforward and not too fancy. The cost was reasonable too. Plus, it was neat and super quiet.

"Good Assisted Living with Minor Trash Oversight"
Overall, it's a nice place, and my family member is content. They use a walker, and the bathroom has good handrails and an easy-to-reach shower. Only issue: sometimes they forget to take out the kitchen trash.

"Pleasant Assisted Living with Some Distance"
I enjoyed this community, but it wasn't very close to my home. I've heard good things about Merrill Gardens, and the facility was pleasant.

The staff is caring and responsive, making it a safe environment. Improvement needed in new staff training and maintenance.

Feels like Grandma's house, not right for loved one.

"Mixed Care Quality"
It's been okay, but they're not always consistent due to staffing problems.

"Mixed Experience at Merrill Gardens Assisted Living"
We liked Merrill Gardens overall. However, there were some issues with getting our loved one's medications organized. Initially, we were quoted per month, with the understanding that additional fees would apply for extra care. Ultimately, our monthly cost landed around ~[amount removed]. After a couple of days, they informed us that our loved one required more care than anticipated. They allowed us to hire additional help at $35.00 per hour, which we had to pay for, despite already paying for additional attention that was supposedly included in the package. We received no compensation for this discrepancy.

"Mediocre Assisted Living Experience"
The tour was okay, and the place seemed pleasant. But they didn't have any rooms when I visited, and they didn't contact me afterward like I expected.

"Disappointed with Merrill Gardens Memory Care, considering moving out soon"
We're not happy with Merrill Gardens. My family member stays in the Garden House, which is for people with memory issues. I often feel like they should clean his room and bathroom better because he can't do it himself. They never tell me what activities they're doing. Many of his things have disappeared. I'm not satisfied with the care, and I'll be finding a new place for him soon.

"Good Facility, Needs More Activities and Staff"
They take the residents out, but it’s not well advertised. They could offer more outings that suit all residents' needs. They always rush through activities in the building and don’t have enough staff support for them. It’s a nice place to live. My mom is happy and the other residents seem fairly happy too. My mom says the food is good. They have a nice outdoor patio and offer underground parking for the residents.
