My mom has lived at Oakmont of Montecito for years, and there's this one person who's been there for us since the beginning. Whenever there's a problem or something we're worried about, she always makes sure it gets fixed fast and done right. And she checks back to make sure everything's okay!

"Caring staff, clean environment"
We are really happy with the care at this community. The staff is caring and friendly. We appreciate that the place is clean and well-kept. They offer a good variety of healthy meals. The activities are helpful, too. We recommend that families visit this community for great care and value for their loved ones.

"Comfortable Community with Friendly Staff"
This place is really big and has plenty of space for all the people who live here. The apartments are really nice and come with lots of cool stuff. The people who work here are super friendly and always ready to help make everyone feel like they belong.

"Experience the Joy at Montecito"
Montecito is a wonderful place. The people who live here are amazing, and the staff is kind and supportive. The food options are plentiful, with a variety of choices available during the five-week rotation. I feel happy and grateful to call Montecito my home.

"Beautiful and welcoming place"
This place is beautiful. I used to come here to help make scrapbooks with the seniors and do other fun activities. It was always so nice. When it was time to find a place for my loved one, we checked it out. It was more expensive than what we planned, but the cleanliness and friendly people really stood out. Honestly, I’d live here if I could.

"Keep Clear: This Care Facility is Dishonest and Uncaring"
I'd never send anyone I care about to this place. The staff is lacking, they're dishonest, and honestly, they seem to have zero heart for the people they're supposed to be looking after. They'll charm you with their spiel, then swipe your family's hard-earned money, while not giving a second thought for your family member. Steer clear, and I mean miles away, from this horrible place. I honestly believe they hastened my dad's passing.....

"Great for active seniors, large community!"
We toured this lovely facility for my mother-in-law. It was very nice with friendly, gracious staff and bright, spacious apartments. However, we didn’t choose it for two reasons. First, my mother-in-law needs a lot of help, and we wanted the same caregiver each day, but the staff rotates here. Second, she felt the community was too large for her as she prefers a smaller, quieter place. That said, it’s great for an active senior who doesn’t need much care!

"Placing Mom in Montecito Memory Care"
It was tough deciding to move Mom to Memory Care. I visited several places and chose Montecito. They gave me all the information I needed and answered my questions. I visited at different times to see how they handled things. I was happy to see how they cared for everyone. They always make time for the residents. When Mom wants to go for a walk, someone takes her. I sleep better knowing Mom is in a safe place with good care. Mom must be happy because she doesn't call me as much.

"Big, Pricy, Yet Semi-Friendly Living Facility"
The place was just too large. It had endless hallways that you had to walk which I didn't love. Plus, the cost was higher than the assisted living home we ended up selecting. It was certainly pricier. The workers there seemed somewhat friendly.

"Beautiful place with friendly staff"
We checked out a bunch of places in Northern and Southern California. Some were closer, but we picked Montecito Oakmont Senior Living because of the nice surroundings and the friendly staff. It's a beautiful place and everyone seems happy. We had a great experience with the medicine room. If there was ever a problem, the staff was awesome and worked with us. I just had a good feeling about Montecito Oakmont. They recently got a new Senior Director who is just as nice as the last one and always greets us and is friendly with both family and residents.

"Montecito Oakmont is my top choice for mom"
I visited four of the ten communities recommended by A Place for Mom. Montecito Oakmont Senior Living was by far my favorite. This community offers retired, assisted, and memory care. My mother is in assisted living, but it's comforting to know that if needed, she can get memory care without moving to another community. The place looks like a resort hotel, beautiful inside and out. There's plenty of parking, so when I visit or friends visit, there's always a spot. The large courtyard park is surrounded by building wings, and there's a pool and spa with bathrooms for convenience. There are multiple activity rooms, a theatre, and a library. Lots of activities, friendly staff, just lovely. I told my mom that Montecito Oakmont is where I would want to be.

"Michaela was fantastic! Mom's top choice."
She was amazing! My mom really liked her—maybe she was our third favorite out of everyone we met. Everyone we encountered was great in their own way. The facility is beautiful, and I loved almost everything about it. However, it might be a bit too far from San Francisco for easy visits with Mom. It's the largest one we've seen, with spacious hallways, a POOL!!, and incredible courtyard spaces. Overall, it's very well done. Plus, the fact that it's privately owned is nice. We're keeping it as an option, even though it's not ideal. We understand that sacrifices need to be made in one direction or another.

"Good space, clean, nice outdoor areas, some kitchens without ovens."
The floor plans are a good size. Some units have partial kitchens, but not all have ovens. The daily rate varies based on the floor plan and care needed, starting around $149 per day for one person. The facility is clean and looks nice. There’s also a lovely outdoor space with a swimming pool and an outdoor fireplace.

The area isn't the best, and Clayton Rd is loud, but the facility is pretty good.

"Hit and Miss for Assisted Found in Building Setup"
This place is more designed for independently living individuals than I prefer for my mother. I'm concerned about features like small kitchens. I'd rather have a place with bigger shared spaces for meals and activities to entertain my mom more.
