"Not Quite Right: Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The living room is a bit small. The backyard is large and welcoming. The caregivers, who are a husband and wife, are friendly. It didn't seem like the best choice for my dad, and it's a bit far from our house.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
This place is approved by the VA. I noticed a few things that need fixing. When you first come in, there aren't enough seats to relax. The front room feels too cramped. It needs a better sitting area. Also, some staff speak a different language in front of residents. It feels a bit rude since it's a business place. Talking about money should be private, not in front of residents. They take good care of people and the food is okay. The place could use some updates, but it's okay overall.

"Affordable and Pleasant Assisted Living with Religious Aspect"
This place wasn't my top pick, but it's much cheaper than Green Gables Villa by $1000 every month. The director and his wife are very friendly, and I believe they would take good care of my father here. They are quite religious; they have a priest come on Sundays for communion. My father wouldn't like that at all. If they respect his wishes and leave him be, it would be okay. But if they try to make him participate, he would be really upset.
