"Mixed Experience at Oakmont of Roseville"

I had a not-so-good experience at Oakmont of Roseville. The person who was supposed to meet with me wasn’t there that day. I waited for 30 minutes before they told me. Then I had to wait even longer for someone else to show me around. Maybe they were just having a rough day. But I didn't feel like they treated me very well. Besides that, I found the location very convenient. The facility was nice and clean inside, and it looked new. However, it was also more expensive.

"A Pretty Place with Friendly Staff, but Pricey"

It's a pretty place with friendly staff. They could improve training for assisted living. The food is good, but fancy. My loved one prefers meat and potatoes. They offer activities and are a bit pricey.

"Mixed experience: Beautiful décor, lacking care; inadequate staffing, limited access."

Don't just judge by how nice a place looks. Sure, it's pretty inside, but what matters most is the care they provide. My family member kept needing to go to the hospital for emergencies because the staff, even when there were enough of them, didn't seem to know what to do. One time, they even called me at 11 pm to help out, and I had to stay until 1 in the morning because they were short-staffed. There was one guy who was really good, but most of the others didn't seem to know what they were doing. And there definitely wasn't enough nursing care, it should be available all the time. They do have a great chef who makes delicious food, but I was hardly ever allowed inside except for emergencies in the middle of the night.

"Mixed Feelings About Oakmont of Roseville Assisted Living"

This place costs a lot but it's pretty good. COVID made it tough to tell if it's really nice. There were lots of COVID cases here. The people who work in the office should get better at talking to us and calling back.

"Higher Cost for Older Facility, Did Not Meet Our Needs"

The community was an older building and cost more than other places nearby. It didn't match what we were looking for then.

"Company Favoring Profit Over Resident Care, In Legal Trouble"

Watch out. Research before choosing. As of now, this company is dealing with a huge legal battle and judgment against them. In our situation, they tried to spike my mom's care expenses without any valid reason. We were left with no other option but to move our mom to another facility. The problem isn't with the care staff - they seem kind and caring for the most part. Our main issue is with the money-hungry company that seems to prioritize profit over the welfare of their residents. Consider yourself warned.

"Mixed Feelings: Nice Community but Pricey with Extra Charges"

My friend stayed here for 4 years. It's a clean, nice place with lots of people. Most staff were friendly and helpful, but it felt like they didn't have enough people working. They were nice to us, but we had to move my friend because the price kept going up and they added extra charges. I think people should check it out before deciding.

"A Lively, Safe, and Fun Community"

Definitely 5 stars. I was really impressed with everything about this place. I think anyone living here would feel comfy, safe, have fun, and be well taken care of. I like that my parent could be here and feel like they’re in a lively place, not just hidden away to grow old quietly.

"Pricey but Pleasant: A Nice Yet Expensive Facility"

This place is really nice. It costs a lot though.

"Beautiful Place, Few Activities"

The Oakmont was a really nice place. They had a fancy restaurant as their dining room. The whole place was super beautiful and many of the residents seemed pretty well-off; they even had their own cars. But there weren't many activities, and it felt like we were paying more for the food than for the care.

"Nice Assisted Living Facility Near Home"

I live near the pleasant community where my husband stays. He often asks to come home with me. The care he receives there is perfectly fine. They're doing a great job with him, everything is truly nice.

"Happy Residents Everywhere!"

The staff did a great job showing us around their community. They patiently explained all the details and prices available. During my visit, I noticed that all the residents were happy, joyful, and engaged in various activities throughout the complex.

"Friendly community, but lacked move-in cost help"

I toured a nice community and met some friendly people. The tour guide gave me helpful information about the place. But after seeing it, I felt it wasn’t the right fit for me, and they didn’t offer help with move-in costs. They weren't very accommodating.

Mom is settling in great. This change has been tough on everyone, but the staff at Oakmont has been understanding and very helpful. There are lots of activities, and the food is amazing! Every resident we’ve spoken to really enjoys it here.

"Wonderful care and beautiful grounds at Oakmont!"

Oakmont is a fabulous place! Everyone there is so caring and thoughtful. My parents are really happy and get great care. The grounds are spotless, bright, and full of life. I hope that when it’s my time to move into a retirement home, Oakmont is still around for me!

"Everyone did the little things that made a difference"

Dear Staff of Oakmont of Roseville, I want to thank each and every one of you for everything you did for my mother. It’s always the little things that make a difference, and everyone here did those little things that meant so much to my mother. From Winona helping with the final payment to Pari visiting my mother at Sutter Hospital, you all went out of your way to make her comfortable in her last days. I’m not great at meeting new people, but the staff was always kind and understanding when my mother introduced me. She introduced me to everyone because she wanted me to know how much she appreciated each of you. After every introduction, she would tell me something nice about the staff member we had just met. When I think about how an assisted care or retirement facility should be, I’ll always think of Oakmont. My brother and I truly feel that Oakmont made a positive difference in our mother’s life.

"Perfect Place for Mom"

They have a great organization. They helped mom get settled and moved into the memory care unit at Oakmont of Roseville. She was a bit confused because of her mental state, but they were very patient and kind with her. It’s been as perfect a place as I could hope for, given the circumstances. I highly recommend them.

"Caring for Mom"

We were really worried about moving our Mom into a “memory care facility.” Oakmont showed us everything they could do to help her. After just one month, our Mom looks amazing. She’s standing taller, her skin is healthy, and we know this is the right place for her to get the care she needs. The staff is very caring and sweet.

"Feels like a 5-star hotel!"

This place is like a 5-star hotel! It’s pricey, but when my mom and I saw what she could get by selling her house, it became a good option for her. The meals are like a restaurant - no set times, seating, or meals. That’s what really convinced my mom and me. My only suggestion is to improve the activity program. There are lots of outings and transportation, but not much happening inside the building.

"Appealing Design, Loud Lobby, Cramped Rooms, and Overpriced"

Gorgeous design. The entryway is super loud because of the tall ceiling and tile floors. The places where activities happen seem cramped. The theatre is awesome. The individual units are tiny - they remind me of a hotel room. Pretty expensive!"
