"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living, Great for Families"
They are all really nice and friendly. It costs a bit more, but it's a nice place. We chose this community because my loved one liked it. Sometimes it feels like the food takes longer, but the food is good. They are helpful and polite. The atmosphere is very friendly. I would suggest it to other families.

"Lovely Place with Caring Staff, but Check on Loved Ones Often"
It's a beautiful place. The staff are great and my mom is very happy there. Nurse Practitioners check on her every week. I would recommend family to visit loved ones often. There is a high staff turnover, so make sure to check on your loved ones to see if the care is consistent.

"Great Opportunities, Some Challenges"
I believe this place is good if you can afford it. There are great opportunities for parents, but it didn't quite fit for us. The staff changed, which affected things administratively, but daily life stayed mostly the same. We got to know a new receptionist. Fixing apartment issues took a while. Food was good, but my dad noticed some inconsistencies. They offer lots of fun activities.

"Beautiful Oakmont Lacks In Care and Communication."
Oakmont Whittier looks nice but lacks skill and dedication. Besides some kind and caring attendants who serve meals, it's all just fancy talk and good advertising. My sister and I wanted a temporary place for our mother to gain back strength after staying in a medical care center. They helped her get to meals and activities, and supervised her during her showers twice a week. The biggest problem, though, was their handling of her medications. We had to call daily to remind them, then finally after 6 days, we had to just let mom handle her own meds. The food is too fancy for older folks, and the financial part is a complete mess. The people in charge don't even get back to you. Save your money and go somewhere else!

I visited a lovely community and had an enjoyable tour. Unfortunately, they didn't have any available rooms for my mom. The staff was friendly and informative, making it a pleasant experience overall.

"Mixed Feelings About California Assisted Living Facility"
Good morning! The facility has only been open for a year. My mom has been there for two months. Overall, she's okay with it, but there are some issues that haven't been fixed. For example, she wants bigger portions of food for her salads, which are sometimes forgotten. Also, they don't give the residents enough fruits and vegetables. The caregivers do try hard to take care of her. It's really clean and new. I wish she could do more activities. She liked a day trip they took, but I'm not sure if she's done it again. Since I live in Idaho, I'm not sure what goes on there (California), just her feedback. She loves her salon and craft days. Thanks to all the employees at the facility. - Idaho
