"Mixed Experience at Ocean Front Care Home"
We're having problems at Ocean Front Care Home. They can't get her meds right, insist on bed rails (which caused injuries), and our favorite caregiver isn't there on weekends. Some staff seems incompetent. The food isn't good, but she has a nice room with an ocean view. Physical therapy helps, but they prefer residents to stay in bed.

"Issues Overwhelm Positives at Ocean Front Care Home"
We're facing several problems at Ocean Front Care Home. We're struggling with them getting her medicine correct and they use bed rails, which I think are legally necessary, but she's been hurt because of them. Our preferred caregiver who speaks English isn't around on weekends when the majority of problems occur. Some of the staff don't seem very effective. We've seen a caregiver trying to get her to use the bathroom, but the seat was down and my mom-in-law was yelling that she couldn't use it. She needs to drink more, and the food is subpar as not much effort is put in preparation. On the bright side, her room is nice with a view of the ocean, and she can smoke there. She can be a challenge, but most staff members don't speak English, so there's little communication or interaction. While the physical therapy seems to be helping, they appear to prefer if patients remain confined to bed.

"Great location and helpful staff for mom’s future home!"
This place has a beautiful location. The staff met me right on time and was very friendly and helpful. Now, I need to figure out what’s best for my mom. The facility is bright and has a view of the LA Harbor. One room was small but manageable, while the other was large with a private bath, though it might be out of our budget. I'm still deciding what to do.

"Nice ocean-view facility, suited for quiet, less sociable individuals."
Took a tour. The neighborhood is really nice. The yard and a few rooms have a pretty clear view of the harbor and the ocean. You'll always have a nice cool breeze because it's so close to the water. The place itself is nice and clean but a bit old. The room I saw was pretty big and you get privacy. There was a fancy door and you can go straight to the front yard from there. They also have a decorated outdoor space. But something to remember: the people living there right now aren't really active or super friendly. It might be a good fit if you’re the same way. The staff was really nice and ready to help. I'd say it's about a 3 star place.

"Great View and Comfortable Living for My Step-Mother"
My step-mother has a room with a sliding glass door that leads to a patio with a beautiful view of the ocean, or more like a harbor view, looking down toward Newport Beach. The staff there are really great. I love taking her out, and she’s always ready when I arrive. Her walker and everything I need are set up and ready to go. She seems quite happy living there. They have some activities, but not too many, since there are only three residents right now, and two mostly stay in their rooms. Sometimes, when I visit, someone is even playing the guitar for her. The staff is very accommodating with her room. I’ve hung up all sorts of pictures and her decorative plates, so it feels like home. She has her own bathroom, and the shower is set up so there’s nothing to step over, which is great for someone who needs help. The manager is very helpful, and I really appreciate everything he has done for me.

"Not Quite the Right Fit"
This home was nice and easy to get to, but it didn't suit our loved one. The backdoor opens into the backyard, which leads to a public sidewalk. There's also an apartment complex overlooking it. These were things we knew our loved one wouldn't like. Overall, the home had good staff, but it wasn't the right fit for us.

"Nice Home, Great Staff, but Not for Our Loved One"
This assisted living home was pretty nice and easy to get to, but it didn't feel like the right place for our family member. The backdoor opens to a backyard which connects to a public sidewalk. And there's an apartment building that overlooks it. We know these weren't things our family member would enjoy. Even though the home was good and the people working there were nice, it just wasn't the best fit for us.

"Clean and scenic home; residents enjoy tasty meals."
The place was nice and clean, and the room I saw had a really cool view of the harbor. I talked to one guy who lives there, and he said the food is pretty good.

"Neat facility, great view, resident commends the food"
The house was kept in good shape, and the open room was neat presenting a breathtaking view of the dock. I conversed with a male resident who mentioned that "the food is nice.
