"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
I'd recommend visiting more than once, especially during mealtime. When I called late in the evening, no one answered the phone. Some staff mentioned being short-handed, but management claimed they were fully staffed. There was just something slightly off-putting to us, though we couldn't quite pinpoint it. Overall, it wasn't bad; it just didn't work for us.

"Neglected Illness, Poor Treatment at Assisted Living Facility"
When my friend began showing signs of COVID-19, the staff at this assisted living facility did not immediately test him. It wasn't until two weeks later that they did, and by then, his results were negative. Despite this, my friend received no care or medication for his illness and he ended up passing away. Before moving out of the facility, I took him to a doctor where a blood test revealed extremely low sodium levels due to the virus. The doctor prescribed sodium pills, but my friend also had pneumonia and ongoing breathing problems. Because of his untreated COVID-19, he wasn't able to fully recover and passed away. This place should lose its license because of the way they handle their patients. During one visit, I saw another resident crawling around the TV room wearing just a diaper. There were staff members nearby, but they didn't seem to care. I stayed there for around 45 minutes, and nobody tried to help the man or dress him. I think this facility should be shut down due to their poor care. My friend complained about a male caregiver who was extremely rough with him. When my friend threatened to fight back, the caregiver said he'd hit him in return. Seniors with dementia should never be treated this way. That's all I have to say.
