"Assisted Living Facility Review"
In the start, there were some issues. The place needs to explain clearly what gets washed on laundry day. After asking, I finally understood. Generally, it's okay, but the kitchen workers left dinner trays outside residents' doors for two days.

"Memory Care Unit Falls Short"
The place where my mom lives is okay, but the memory care unit isn’t good. They don’t have a nurse there, and I got charged extra for care my mom didn’t receive. The staff doesn’t always do what they say they will. My mom’s bathroom is dirty, and maintenance doesn’t fix things. If I hadn’t been so involved, my mom might have had a worse experience.

"Top-Notch Care and Fun at Pacifica for 7 Years"
I've lived here for seven years and can't imagine being anywhere else. They always meet my needs and then some. Every day, there's something fun to do. I've made new friends and everything is taken care of for me. No complaints at all. I'm very happy with the services provided.

"Warm and Welcoming Senior Home"
Pacifica Senior Living Hillsborough is a really pretty place. The people who work there are super nice, and the atmosphere feels really cozy and friendly. Unfortunately, they couldn't take care of our loved one properly because of a medical issue, but they were really understanding about it and gave us back our money.

"Medication Overuse and Poor Tactics at Assisted Living Facility"
My husband wasn't doing well here. I had to remove him because he repeatedly left and the doors had alarms. They wanted to increase his medicine to stop him from wandering so much, but we didn't want him heavily medicated. Their methods to keep him onsite were poor. They’d tell him I was present and he'd spend his time looking for me, only to leave all over again. The head of the facility was nice, but the woman handling the Memory Care was terrible. They'd call me constantly during the night, even having him call to beg for me to pick him up. It was a terrible ordeal. Thankfully, they refunded our community fee.

"Limited Outdoor Space, But Friendly Staff"
This place was really nice and was our second choice for dad. But while we were looking around, I noticed there wasn’t a big outdoor area for him to take walks. They had a small space with tables and chairs, but not much else for outdoor activities. I didn’t try a meal there, but they gave us a tasty snack. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions.

"Excellent care and happy environment for our loved one"
We are really pleased with the care our father gets here. The memory care is exactly what we needed. The place is clean and has a great atmosphere for him. He enjoys the different meal options and the activities available. His room is just what we wanted. We highly recommend this place for the great care they provide.

"Happy with Care, But Some Issues Need Fixing"
My dad’s been living at Pacifica for three weeks now, and he’s pretty pleased. He’s a big fan of the meals they serve, especially the fresh fruit and veggies. He’s also enjoying hanging out with the other folks living there and joining in on the fun events. That’s the good stuff. On the downside, the air conditioner in his room isn’t doing its job right. Plus, the laundry machines are either broken or not there when you need them. That’s not cool since he just got there and he’s the type to want his clothes neat and tidy.

"Inadequate Care Disguised by Beautiful Amenities"
While the facilities at Pacifica are nice to look at, the care my grandfather has received since we moved him in ten months ago has been less than satisfactory. Despite the steep price of room and board, the food given to residents is low-quality, and medications have recently been found laying around due to inadequate care from new staff. Over time, many staff members have left due to workplace issues and new faces appear constantly. The facility's elevator service is unreliable and has been out of order for six months, complicating simple tasks like moving laundry. Also, the laundromat is often monopolized by staff, adding cost and difficulty for residents. Despite the promises of an onsite gourmet chef and weekly group outings for residents, the reality is disappointingly pedestrian dinners and a broken van for trips. My family and I were misled by the initial presentation of Pacifica and now regret choosing this place of residence for my grandfather.

"Great care and clean facility!"
My mom isn't in this community anymore, but when she was, it was awesome. We had no complaints. She got great care. I never visited, but from phone calls, I learned the place was very clean. From my short talks with the nurses, I knew she was well taken care of.

"Perfect, Beautiful Place for Seniors with Mild Dementia"
Pacifica is a lovely place with a friendly staff. My mom is in the 'Transitions' section, which suits her well. It's not quite Assisted Living, but more than standard Memory Care. I wish there were more activities for the residents in that section, though. The TVs always play the same old movies.

"A Friendly and Caring Place for Seniors to Thrive"
Pacifica Senior Living Hillsborough is a really welcoming and kind place. My mother-in-law is really happy there, and everything is going well. They have lots of fun activities, and she loves the ice cream socials. She seems to like the food too. She’s actually gained about ten pounds since she moved in, which is great for her. All the other residents I’ve seen are happy, socializing, and enjoying their time there.

"Great place for Dad, nice staff, worth the cost!"
My dad has been at this place for almost two months now. It's a bit pricey for us, but we're going to try to keep him here as long as we can afford it. So far, things have been going well. My dad really enjoys living here. The people who clean, plan activities, handle his medication, and serve food are all very kind and helpful.

They’ve been outstanding in every way. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. My father lives here and he’s very happy. This community is wonderful, and I have no complaints. It’s 5 stars all the way.

"New Resident's Positive Experience with Assisted Living for Mother"
I haven't been there for long, still pretty new to the place. Can't really say much about the activities, they're not very exciting. But since I moved my mom there, things have been good. She needs a lot of help, and they're able to provide it.

"Morning Meal Dilemma"
The place is super clean and well-maintained. The staff are super friendly and top-notch. But the breakfast buffet needs an upgrade – if you’re not there by 7:30, you might go hungry. Honestly, I could cook better.

"Mixed Feelings: Pacifica Hillsborough Review"
My family and I picked Pacifica Senior Living Hillsborough in Chino, CA for my dad. It's mostly good, but there's a problem. My dad uses a wheelchair and he's had three falls in two weeks, needing ambulance rides twice. I know the staff is trying hard, but maybe my dad needs more care. We're talking to Pacifica to find ways to help him stay in his wheelchair better (without doing anything wrong). Besides that, the place is nice and my dad and the staff get along well.

"Facility Undergoes Renovation Improved Memory Care, Lacks Desired Tub"
I visited this place years ago. I didn't like the memory care part. It seemed gloomy and dull. Recently, I went back, and wow! They're renovating it. The memory care area looks much better now. But, they still don't have the bathtub I think my mom would enjoy.

"“Fancy Facilities"
This place felt more like a hotel than a cozy home. If you’re looking for fancy amenities, it’s nice. But personally, I believe you should pay for care, not just fancy extras.

"Old Facility Without Enough Staff Appears Unsafe"
Old facility. We went in and didn't see any staff by the front desk. There were a bunch of visitors just walking about though, which felt pretty unsafe. We had to go find someone ourselves in the end.

"So far, so good. Care and activities are promising."
So far, it's been okay. We've been working with them for about a month, and my mom has been living there for a week and a half. The care has been good, and they offer a lot of activities. Since she's only been there a short time, we don't know everything yet. Overall, she's doing okay and says the food is fine.

"Less Comfy and Needing More Help"
I didn't sense a cozy atmosphere like I did at other locations. It kind of seemed like there wasn't enough staff maybe, just a guess. It felt like placing my father-in-law here would mean a less inviting environment, not as kind and comforting.

"Poor Management and Insufficient Care"
The problem was with the oversight. The boss or manager was hardly around. I didn't think there were enough caregivers for the number of residents. The caregivers would often ask families to do their tasks of watching over a group.

"Great Place with Fun Activities and Good Food"
The cleanliness gets a four-star rating because they're remodeling right now. They offer lots of activities, but getting my dad to join in is tricky. They have a bunch of events like a barbecue this week, and trips to Walmart, church, shopping, and the doctor. Overall, it’s a great place. My dad enjoys it and says the food is good, although they serve too much chicken, which he doesn’t like.

"Inadequate care and attention in Alzheimer's department."
This place had too many employee changes, which is suspicious to me. Additionally, the Alzheimer's unit only had one staff member for every seven residents, and I didn't think that was enough. Most of the time, they would have him stay in his room and watch TV, or they moved him to the shared area. They didn't really have the time to walk him around or encourage him to exercise. I was not convinced that I was getting my money's worth from this care. He lived in the assisted living area for a couple of years, and I thought it was a suitable place for him when he could still move independently. When he shifted to the memory unit and I had to pay more, I observed that he wasn't getting the personal attention he needed.

"Endless Care and Support at Pacifica"
We haven't found anything bad about this place. It's very well run and genuinely cares about its residents. This was the first community we looked at, and none of the others could compare. They offer lots of activities, and the residents seem very lively. The staff is super knowledgeable and caring. They understand what makes each resident happy and active. I can call every day for updates on my mom, and I can visit her anytime. The staff really shows a lot of love towards the residents. They’ve given my mom a new sense of purpose. She was in a lot of pain, had lost her husband, and seemed ready to give up. Pacifica gave her a reason to keep going. They encourage residents to stay active rather than just lying in bed. I’m very happy with Pacifica and would pay anything for their services. I highly recommend them with all my heart.

"Convenient Assisted Living with Daily Activities and Transportation"
This place is both independent and assisted living combined. You don't have to cook because there's only a small fridge and a microwave. They provide all the meals. The rooms are around 400 to 600 square feet, and most have balconies. You can find emergency cords in the bedroom and bathroom for safety. They offer six scheduled activities every day. Transportation is available within a 10-mile radius, which is nice. They also do weekly housekeeping and will wash one load of your clothes. However, there's no pool here.
