"Mixed Feelings About Pasadena Highlands"
We really liked the person who helped us sign up. She paid attention to our family and acted very professionally. During the process, she clearly explained what services they offer and what we could expect. We think Pasadena Highlands is a good choice for families looking for a safe place for their loved ones, rather than staying at home. However, we were told there would be a walking club for residents to walk in the neighborhood. Sometimes it seems like they don't encourage residents to walk around, so we can't fully recommend it for that reason.

"Great place for my brother, friendly staff, highly recommend"
We picked Pasadena Highlands because it seemed like a good place for my brother, and it really is. He’s very happy here. The staff are super friendly and helped a lot with moving in, which was great since I live far away. I’d recommend this place to other families.

"Assistance Challenges in Assisted Living"
Many residents require assistance, which can be challenging for independent tenants like me. Getting issues fixed, such as plumbing, can also take time.

"Facility Review: Silvia is Informative, Facility Size Overwhelming for Mom"
She was really great and told us a lot of helpful information! I thought the place was nice, but I was worried that it might be too big for my mom.

"Nice staff but poor food, high turnover, and neglectful management."
My mom or dad lives at this place. Now, the staff is really nice and friendly, but a lot of them leave and new ones come pretty often. It's probably because the place doesn't pay them much. The biggest issue here is the food. It's bad. It's often all fried, doesn't seem fresh, and once everything on the plate was covered with this gross, dark brown stuff. We had to send it all back to the kitchen. Just recently, my parent tried to eat a roast beef sandwich and ended up not eating it because the meat was too tough to chew. As older people age, good food becomes really important. In fact, my parent looks forward to meals and this place should be careful about that. I wish I could make the boss of this place eat the food for a month. This place also costs a lot and the rooms are pretty shabby and old. The shower had mold when my parent moved in, and it still does. They at least need to redo the shower. They apparently fixed up the common areas, the rooms and apartments still need work. But, the outdoor garden is pretty nice. I'm just not happy at all with this place. I wish I could find another option for my parent but that's not possible now. The staff really is great and I can't say enough about them. The real problem is the owner who seems more interested in making money than taking care of stuff. I've tried to be honest while giving compliments where they are due and explain the bad stuff. If I could go back in time, I would never have picked the Pasadena Highlands.
