"Great Care at Peninsula Del Rey!"
My family member has lived at Peninsula Del Rey (PDR). They stay on the Assisted Living floor. The care they receive is outstanding. The staff pay close attention to their needs. Meals are delivered to their apartment, and they really like the menu and food service. After a fall in [date removed], they spent a month at a skilled nursing facility. When they returned to PDR, their care was adjusted to fit their needs. Overall, they’re happy with their decision to live at PDR.

"Assisted Living Facility Prices Increase, Services Decline Over Time"
My family member has been here for a while, and we've noticed prices going up a lot while services are getting worse. We know more people moved in, which affects things like transportation and dining, but it's gotten really bad. For example, residents sometimes have to wait an hour for transportation, and food in the dining room can take half an hour to arrive. A big reason for these issues is that staff keep leaving, so new people have to be trained. But if that's the case, the prices shouldn't go up, especially if services are getting worse. They've been raising the prices by 3% every year, but now it's going up to 4%. So if someone starts paying $4000 a month now, next year they'll pay $4160, then $4326 after 3 years, and around $4680 after 5 years, plus extra for assisted living services. A lot of residents here have a fixed income, so their families should know ahead of time that they'll be paying a lot more.

"Great home with friendly staff, good food, and private rooms"
This place is fantastic with lots of activities and energy. The staff is really friendly. The dining area and menu look nice. I didn’t see the residents because I visited in the evening. The rooms are private and have small kitchens. It supports both independent and assisted living.

"Excellent Facility, Unsettling Location"
This place is great! The rooms, cleanliness, staff, and food are excellent. However, the location feels unsafe, like being in an armed camp.

"Spacious and Well-Equipped Facility"
This was one of the top places my mom and I visited. The apartments were very big and had lots of great amenities. They also had a wide open floor plan, making it easy for residents to move around, plus big elevators. There was a nice exercise room with plenty of equipment to use all day. I have no complaints about this facility; it was just too far of a drive from my house.

"Great Place with Friendly Staff and Lots of Activities"
My aunt is doing really well here. The place is clean and pleasant, and the staff are really nice. I’ve recommended it to others. The meals are like those at a restaurant, with lots of options, and my aunt enjoys them. There are many activities for her to do.

"Misleading Assisted Living Facility Frustrates Residents"
Well, I'm moving. I'm really unhappy here. I didn't check things out properly before I moved in. They weren't honest with me. It's not a big deal, but I'm leaving. The prices are going up. It won't affect me much, but they overcharged me $500 for the deposit. They haven't been straightforward, and it's really frustrating. No one has been rude, but they charge for everything.

"Unhappy Tenant Leaving Over Hidden Charges"
I'm packing up and leaving this place. I just haven't been satisfied here, mainly because I didn't do my research properly before moving in. I felt that they weren't completely honest with me. Not that it's any big issue, but I've decided to leave. The prices here are getting higher, but that's not particularly a concern for me. However, what ticks me off is that they included an extra $500 on my deposit. I feel they've mishandled me and this gets on my nerves. No one's been mean or anything, but they sure manage to slap a fee onto everything.

"Great amenities and helpful staff, excited to move in!"
She is an amazing sales rep! The facility has many great features. I checked out a few other places, but none compared. Some places had no parking and small bedrooms (I have a queen size bed). I love having my own washing machine and dryer in the kitchen. I do wish there was a linen closet for sheets and towels. I'm excited to sell my home and move in!

"A Wonderful Choice for Mom"
My mom has lived at Peninsula del Rey for more than a year, and we're really happy with this place. It's bright, super clean, and the staff is friendly and supportive. Mom can move around easily and join activities whenever she wants. The living area is big and convenient, making her feel like she's in a regular apartment. The PLUS services, like the limo-driver service for appointments and in-unit laundry, are great. However, the dining room could be better. Even though it's better than other places, the food is a bit bland, and the service can be slow and forgetful. Still, Peninsula del Rey stands out because there's plenty of food choices.

"Perfect place for mom with great care and fun activities"
Our family is really happy that our mom lives at Peninsula Del Rey in Daly City. It’s reassuring to know she gets excellent care and attention from the staff every day. Everyone there is really kind and nice to her. She loves the activities, especially the casino trips, museum visits, and the “Mystery Tours.” The common areas are beautifully furnished with lots of fresh flowers, and her apartment is always very clean. It’s the perfect place for our mom.

"Costly and Frustrating Peninsula Del Rey"
My Mom is at Peninsula Del Rey. The place looks good on the outside, but it's not the best place to stay. The workers there allow the other people living there to start problems, act mean, and bully others. They just started with their assisted living services but don't really know how to best help those who live there. They seem to care more about what's easy for them rather than what's best for the residents. They don't even pay attention to some simple things that are really important, like making sure the emergency call buttons in each unit work.

"Amazing place with friendly staff and beautiful rooms!"
I think it's pricey, but it's the best I've seen. We only use the laundry, meals, and housekeeping services. My mom even does zumba here, so it must be great! The best part is that the staff is always positive, friendly, and supportive. It feels like a 5-star hotel. The furnishings and rooms are gorgeous—I feel so lucky!

"Toured June 15: New, friendly, needs more info on fees."
Toured on June 15. The facility is new and not full yet. It is for-profit and offers only 2 meals a day, but every unit has a full kitchen and washer/dryer. They aren’t licensed for assisted living yet. I need to find out how they handle falls, extra costs for pendants, and pet visits. The start-up fee is high ($3,500), and I’m unsure what it covers. I also want to understand the refund policy for the security deposit (one month’s rent), social event costs, and extra service fees ($10 per 15 minutes, with a minimum of half an hour). I need to check if cable TV includes MSNBC or HBO. The place is very friendly, clean, bright, and spacious. Studios are small and cost about $4,000 per month, while some 1-bedroom units are $4,800 or $4,900 per month. There are active resident committees.

"Therese Made Mom's Experience Wonderful at This Great Facility"
Therese was AMAZING! Mom had a really great time with her, and it made everything so much better. The facility looks fantastic – the colors are really nice and it feels bright and happy. The rooms were good, but Mom didn’t like how the full-sized kitchens took up so much space. The location is really convenient for visiting San Francisco, which is a big plus. Mom liked the courtyard view more than the city view. The food was excellent, and everyone on staff was really nice.
