"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Communication and Service"
This place has some issues. They don't talk well with us. When I needed help with my pendant, it took forever for someone to come. Twice it took more than two hours! The food isn't always what they promise, and sometimes they don't have enough. Plus, there aren't enough people working here.

"Short on Care and Diabetic Options"
There are some really good caregivers, but they take a long time to respond to residents. They don't have enough staff for all the residents, especially those who need more care. Plus, they don't actually provide a diabetic menu.

"Room for Improvement in Alzheimer's Care Facility"
Raincross, a specialized Alzheimer's care place, had issues. Some staff were great, but others not. Taking care of dementia patients isn't simple, but basic things like bed alarms could prevent falls.

"Insecure Facility Fails to Care for Man with Dementia"
My brother started living at Raincross in Riverside this year. We were initially told a price for his private room and care. But, soon after he moved in, he felt scared and tried to escape. They had assured us that Raincross was a secure facility, but evidently, it was not. Over the last few months, my brother attempted several escapes and sometimes ended up with the police who took him to the hospital before taking him back to Raincross. The staff seemed clueless on how to manage him, indicating poor training. After these incidents, they raised the fees, which is a blow as my brother is on a fixed income and this will shorten his stay there. We're deeply concerned that forcing him out could lead to serious health issues like a heart attack or stroke due to the drastic adjustment. Despite his situation, they had mentioned that my brother served as a sort of 'welcome crew' for new residents; he was accustomed to the place, still he left often. I brought this up, but I got no solid answers on how they're unable to take care of my brother given their claim of being a 'secure' facility. Every time my brother wanted to leave, no staff was present at the door. At the front desk, they couldn't stop him since he was intent on leaving. He must have tried leaving about 5 to 10 times. Now, they say they can't handle him anymore, even as they've just raised the fees. It feels like they're tossing out a man with severe dementia. If you're considering entrusting your loved one with dementia to a facility, I wouldn't recommend Raincross at Riverside.

"High cost, low value; challenging for low-income residents."
We chose this place for its price and location. But recently, they raised the cost by a lot. It's too pricey for what you get. Unsure how low-income folks manage.

"Memory Care Separated; Facility Feels Institutional"
We visited Raincross at Riverside and found it to be a nice place. One thing that bothered us was that the memory care area was in a separate part of the building from everything else. It also seemed more like a hospital than a home.

"Welcoming Assisted Living with Activities and Clean Spaces"
The staff is friendly, and the facility is clean. They have indoor and outdoor spaces, daily activities, and special events. Unfortunately, the transportation service isn't currently available. During my visits, residents often play card games or enjoy movies and crafts.

"Mixed Experience Due to Staff Communication Issues"
The people who help the residents are amazing. They are very caring, understanding, and try their hardest. They are really great. But the office staff has very bad communication and follow-up, which is why I gave 4 stars. I wouldn't suggest this place just because of the office staff. They don't answer emails or phone calls, etc. Besides that, my time here has been good.

"Great Care and Activities at This Assisted Living Facility"
This community has both assisted living and memory care. My mom is in the memory care section, and both areas are great. The memory care area is secure, which we needed since she wanders. The rooms there are big and comfy. Everything is kept very clean and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and keeps residents busy with outings like lunch. They also have social events like Sunday brunch, and families are welcome to join. For meals, there are two options each time, and residents can choose which one they want. Meals are served on large red plates, which look nice. It’s a wonderful place, and we recommend it.

"Great staff and food, small rooms for mom's chair. No availability."
I really liked the people who worked there and the place itself. she was super nice to us, and the food they served was really yummy. They had space for my dad, but the rooms were too tiny for my mom and her motorized chair. However, a two-bedroom unit would be just right for her, but unfortunately, they didn't have any available.

"Sweetheart Staff"
My dad isn't completely happy with moving into this community. Sometimes he likes the place and the staff, but other times he feels they're not very responsive. I've talked to the staff about it, and they explained that they're busy during certain times of the day. The ladies here are sweethearts—they've been wonderful to him, especially when he has accidents in the wrong places. They say, 'When you gotta go, you gotta go, right?'

"Review of Maridian Assisted Living - Great facilities and care"
Beautiful place. It might be a bit much for Mom. She probably won't use all the amenities, but having caretakers there to motivate her is great. I noticed both places are managed by Maridian. I like this one better than Meridian of Riverside. But Meridian of Riverside is really nice too and a bit closer to my house.

"Home Sweet Raincross: A Welcoming Haven for Residents"
I've lived at Raincross since September 2011. Before that, I always had my own home. At first, I wasn't sure if this was the right choice for me. But I'm glad I made it here. I can even use my motorized wheelchair, and the Goeske Center is close enough for me to get there by myself. Raincross has become my home, and I'm really proud to walk into the building. It's always well taken care of, inside and out. I love seeing the flowers everywhere, the lush green grass, and how clean the patios are. When I come back after being out, it feels like coming home. The caretakers know me well and take care of my needs without me having to ask much. The housekeepers know exactly how I like my room, and they always do it just right. It makes me feel at home. Even the receptionist knows most of my visitors and greets them warmly. The director is very friendly and always has time to chat and share stories. Our social director is amazing. Not only does she bring entertainment and organize fun activities like movies and exercise classes, but she also knows each one of us personally and handles our different personalities with care. The nurses here are always friendly and ready to help, no matter what questions or problems we have. They even prepare our medicine lists before doctor visits and make sure any changes the doctors request are taken care of. Raincross is truly my home, and I feel so lucky to be here.

"We couldn't be happier with our choice"
We recently moved my parents to MBK's Raincross at Riverside, and they're thrilled! The care level and the always positive atmosphere are exactly what we wanted. According to my mom, 'Our experience at Raincross at Riverside is excellent. The food is delicious, and we truly appreciate the professional and kind servers. We couldn't be happier.' But it's more than just the food. Every interaction with the community has been positive for our family. From our first meeting with Ruthie Daniel, the marketing person, to ongoing communication with Wellness Director Jennifer Crick, and occasional contact with accounting person Jean Tedesco, everyone has been caring and professional. After thorough research, we're confident we made the right decision.

"Raincross: Amazing Care and Comfort!"
Raincross is a very comfortable place for the people who live there. It’s always clean, with lots of comfy spots to sit, both inside and outside. The food is great. They serve full meals with soup, salad, and dessert for both lunch and dinner every day! There are always two main dishes to choose from, and if you want something else, there are plenty of other options like hot dishes, sandwiches, burgers, dinner salads, and even breakfast items. Breakfasts are also good, with lots of choices like eggs, pancakes, French toast, and cereals. What makes Raincross special is the restaurant-style dining. My parents are in the memory care unit, which is safe and secure for people with advanced dementia. They get a lot of one-on-one care. The staff is amazing. They really seem to enjoy their jobs and are great with all the residents. My dad is totally disabled, and they keep him clean, well-dressed, and comfortable all the time. I’ve never had a complaint about his cleanliness in the four months he’s been there. At his previous place, he was often left drooling in the hallway, sitting in a wet diaper, over-medicated, and staring at nothing. At Raincross, the difference is AMAZING. He’s clean, well-fed (and has his appetite back), and always engaged. He’s usually in the common room of the memory care unit, and there are always several staff members there, talking with him, keeping his mind active, and treating him with respect and genuine friendship. The staff gives each resident individual attention, which is wonderful. There is a really nice outdoor area with umbrella tables and chairs, totally secure so the residents can’t wander off, but very inviting and relaxing. The landscaping is beautiful both in this patio area and in the larger outdoor area for residents who are not in the memory care unit. I really can’t say enough good things about Raincross. I do wish it wasn’t as expensive. That’s my only complaint.

"Great staff and activities, but a bit pricey."
I haven’t had any issues with them. On my dad’s first day in the memory care unit, they showed a WWII movie to spark his interest, and he talked about it with us. They have music performances on Thursdays and take them on outings every Friday. The staff is amazing and gets him involved in many activities. The cost is a bit high, but you’re paying for all those 5-star ratings.

"Nice facility, salesy vibe."
The facility seemed nice, but the person who showed me around seemed more focused on selling than helping. The place itself was clean and well-maintained, and the room I saw was very nice. I was interested in a two-bedroom option where I could choose my own furnishings, but they couldn't provide transportation to my follow-up appointment at Kaiser Fontana because it was too far away. Overall, it was a good place, but there were some additional charges for things that would be included at other places. I also felt like I might not receive as much personal care here as I would at some other facilities.
