"Gannon House Staff: Excellent Care and Activities!"
Hello! I recently visited my parents at Gannon House, where they live. I gave a 5-star rating because both the staff and the facility deserve it! The place was spotless, and the staff were really friendly, showing they truly care about my parents. They go above and beyond to help and make the residents feel special. I also enjoyed all the activities offered. Thank you, Gannon House staff! You make me confident my parents are well cared for! Best wishes,

"Very positive experience"
Kay was relaxed and friendly. Once she knew we were just gathering information about Redwood Terrace and not in a rush, there was no pressure at all. She was thorough, unrushed, and flexible in meeting us. Both my mom and I were pleased with our time with the owner.

"Nice place, pleasant residences."
We visited this place and checked out the activity areas, apartments, a cottage, the dining room, and the administrative area/library. The cottage was spacious, and the apartment had enough storage space. Although the dining area was small, everything looked updated and really nice. There were washers and dryers in the residence. Since it was between meals, we didn't get to try the food. We didn't see much activity, but a resident in the cottage told us she's been living here for 10-15 years and loves it—wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We didn't see the assisted living or skilled nursing areas, but they have good ratings on Medicare.gov. I'd like another tour, specifically focusing on those areas.

"Top Choice for Value and Peace of Mind"
Our top pick out of 13 places we visited. Almost perfect! The company's history and nonprofit model really help the residents. It wasn’t the fanciest place we saw, but it offers the best value. The location is quiet but not isolated, with easy access to town and low traffic. The entry fee is different from other places, but the end-of-life assistance plan is very reassuring, especially since one parent has advanced dementia. The $1500 wait list fee is fully refundable, so we're excited to join.

"Redwood Stands Out as the Best Assisted Living Facility"
My wife and I visited Redwood with a friend, and everything was so nice that we became interested too. We’ve seen other places, but Redwood stands out in every way. He was very helpful and knew all the details. The monthly fees are a bit high, and we wish there was a lap pool. Otherwise, Redwood is the best!

"Amazing and caring staff"
You and all your staff are amazing. Your help, patience, and care are unbelievable. I want to thank the administration, nurses, social workers, housekeeping, maintenance workers, and security. All of you went beyond expectations, even helping my sister arrange outside services like caregivers.

"Our Top Pick for Assisted Living"
After checking out many retirement communities in San Diego, Redwood Terrace was the best. They have all the care levels we need, the food is tasty, the rooms are big, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff is super nice. Kay Keith was especially helpful, showing us around and answering all our questions. She made us feel right at home. We can't wait to move in!

"Embrace the Journey: Redwood Terrace Offers Joy and Connection"
Life is like a one-way street—just keep moving forward and make the most of it for yourself and others. That’s my philosophy. Right now, Redwood Terrace is where I’m heading. Why? I moved away from friends, family, and my home of 20 years because I enjoy meeting people and sharing experiences. This place gives me companionship, activities to keep my mind and body active, and a loving, skilled staff always ready to help. During my 6 years here, I’ve been able to use my life experiences to welcome new residents, suggest improvements, and join in activities I wouldn’t do alone. I’m happy I didn’t stay isolated at home or burden my family. It’s important to live your own life and also connect with others. Volunteering here has been rewarding—planning green spaces, running a book cart for the Health Care Center, and bringing holiday cheer. Giving back is a two-way street, and I’m glad to be on this path.

"Redwood Terrace--A Great Place to Call Home."
Redwood Terrace is a wonderful place to live. The apartments are clean and attractive, thanks to the hardworking housekeepers and staff. The well-maintained grounds are beautifully landscaped. Safety is a top priority, with daily monitoring. The food, prepared by professional staff, is delicious. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. On-site housing options include Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. Plus, we have convenient services like a skilled nursing unit and access to physical therapy, including a therapy pool. There's never a dull moment with a wide variety of activities, including Bingo, Friday Fun Night, and local outings. And don't miss the outstanding library! Overall, Redwood Terrace is a great place to call home.

"Supportive Staff and Great Care at Redwood Terrace"
My uncle lived at Redwood Terrace and had a great apartment, bigger than most we had seen. When his health got worse, I had to handle his finances. The financial director, was very helpful and understanding, delaying payments without any late fees while I sorted things out. The social worker, even went shopping for my uncle's clothes since I live far away. When I was clearing out his apartment, the marketing director, gave me useful advice on movers and managing the items left behind. The nurses and everyone else were very supportive during this tough time. The maintenance head also helped with moving boxes and provided bags for the items. Redwood Terrace is amazing because they offer various care options, from independent living to nursing and hospice. Thanks to everyone for their dedication and care!

"Redwood Terrace: A Wonderful Place for My Parents"
My parents have been living in the assisted living area of Redwood Terrace for almost two years now. I can't say enough good things about their experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff is kind and caring, the facility is very clean, the food is delicious, and there are lots of activities for the residents. Both Dad and Mom have health issues that need complicated care, like giving medicines, blood tests, insulin shots, physical therapy, and doctor's appointments. The nurses handle all of this. Since I live on the east coast and can only visit every three months (though we chat almost daily), I feel incredibly lucky to have found Redwood Terrace for my parents. The staff feels like family, and Dad and Mom are well cared for, both physically and emotionally.

"Why We Love Redwood Terrace"
Living at Redwood Terrace has been a huge improvement compared to our last place in Escondido. Everyone here, from the residents to the staff, is super friendly. We're especially grateful for the nursing staff who are quick and efficient with our health needs. The maintenance team is also great at fixing anything we need. And we can't forget the food! The meals are both delicious and plentiful.

"Making the Most of Life at Redwood Terrace!"
Life is a “One-Way Street”! From birth to the end, you should make the most of it for yourself and others—that’s my philosophy! Right now, I’m at the last stage of this journey, and my motto is “you only go this way once—enjoy!” I chose Redwood Terrace for this part of my life. Why? Because I moved away from my friends, family, and home of 20 years. I love meeting people and sharing experiences. This place gives me companionship, activities that keep my mind and body sharp, and a caring staff always ready to help. Over my 6 years here, I’ve used my life experiences to help new residents feel welcome, join the hospitality committee, suggest plant care, and enjoy adventures I wouldn’t do alone. I’m glad I didn’t stay alone at home or burden my family. We all need to live our lives and then come together to enjoy each other. I’ve also contributed by planning low-maintenance green areas, running a “Book Cart” for the Health Care Center, and giving holiday gifts that brought joy. Volunteering here is truly a “Two-Way Street”!

"Happy at Redwood Terrace"
My husband and I looked at many places before moving from our upstairs condo. Living at Redwood Terrace in Escondido has been better than we hoped. Here’s what we love: 1) a safe, big, sunny cottage with our own little garden, 2) well-kept lawns, gardens, and trees, 3) a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood with banks and stores nearby. Meals are great too. The whole Redwood community feels like a caring family, with staff who know everyone’s name. They offer fun outings, interesting talks, various games, and lovely seasonal decorations. I can't imagine being happier anywhere else.

"Endless Activities for Fun and Socializing"
I really enjoy the many off-campus activities here. We can go to various restaurants, from fancy ones to pizza places, and it’s up to us. We also go to concerts, museums, and beach picnics with a delicious box lunch from our kitchen. We recently visited the new library in downtown San Diego and had lunch at Anthony's by the Sea. There are lots of on-campus activities too, and you can choose to join or not. The monthly events are very interesting. We have groups for bridge, mahjong, and other games. You can even join a Wii bowling group on Monday afternoons. It's a great place to stay active and make new friends.

"Active lifestyle and supportive community make Redwood Terrace a great choice"
My wife and I moved to Redwood Terrace 15 years ago and it has been a great decision. After she passed away two years ago, I felt well cared for and supported by everyone here. I especially appreciated that every resident can choose their own lifestyle. I found an active one that fits me well. I’m involved in the Resident Council and different committees like food, hospitality, and finance. This involvement has helped me make lasting friendships that are very fulfilling. We’ve always been happy with our choice, and our adult children enjoy visiting and staying in our Guest Rooms.

"Absolutely Fantastic Community!"
This place is the best! I’ve done a lot of research, and this community is amazing. It should be a model for others. They have a signup sheet that’s easy to see. The couple I helped found this place and took a tour. If you sign up 24 hours ahead, they’ll take you to the doctor’s office. If you can’t go alone, they’ll have someone go with you. They also have shuttle buses for different churches and shopping trips. They have an indoor pool, computer labs, and a library. There’s a little gift shop too. They have different clubs like cards and dance. It’s amazing and wonderful. By each floor near the elevator, there’s a little hostess center with coffee, juice, and pastries. You can go there when the cleaning staff comes in.

"Large Rooms in Outdated Assisted Living Facility"
This place is just ancient. Sure, the rooms are sizeable because it's from a time when things were built bigger, but it really needs to be demolished and rebuilt.
