Regency Grand at West Covina

"Not Recommended Assisted Living Facility"
I wouldn't recommend the memory care facility. They didn't take good care of my stepdad, and we had to move him out. The regular staff was nice to my mom, but I couldn't keep her there after how they treated my stepdad. Too many people just sitting around in the front lobby with nothing to do. The place feels kind of gloomy. Meals were usually okay, but my mom and a few others got food poisoning from a chicken dish.

"Beautiful Exterior, Understaffed Care: Regency Grand Assisted Living Review"
The Regency Grand seems stunning, with friendly staff. However, it lacks sufficient care and assistance, leaving residents underserved.

"Understaffed and Deteriorating: Not Recommended Assisted Living Facility"
They make it sound really nice when you first visit. But, they don’t have enough people working there. The Memory Care part doesn’t have enough staff. The Assisted Living part is okay, but the building is getting old and the handymen are too busy. The air conditioner doesn’t work in my mom’s room. The lock on the sliding glass door doesn’t work right. The food isn’t very tasty and is mostly soft. They haven’t used the Activity bus for 6 years. When they go out, only 3 people can go at once, in a car. The staff is friendly, but it’s hard to find them when you need them. Lots of people living there want to leave but can’t afford to. I moved both my parents out of there this past weekend. No, I wouldn’t tell others to go to Regency Grand of West Covina.

"Nice place, but meals need improvement"
We are happy with the facility and staff. It's a very nice environment. The food needs improvement and is often served cold. If you’re not first at the table, it doesn’t seem freshly served. The elevators go down sometimes. There are many organized activities throughout the day, including trips to shopping, banks, and restaurants. Overall, I would recommend this facility. The meals are a big downside.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
We chose this place because the staff is great. The room was really nice and they were willing to help us with everything we needed. They're improving the food and are good at keeping in touch. I'd recommend it to other families.

"Helpful and Welcoming Assisted Living with Great Amenities!!"
I had a super nice tour of this place. The staff did a great job giving us lots of good info for my loved one. We didn't feel rushed or pushed, which was awesome. The layout was easy to get around, and they had cool stuff. No complaints from us! We totally recommend this spot.

"Mixed Bag of Pros and Cons"
The rooms are spacious and nice, but the busy street and parking fees are drawbacks. Also, there’s dog pee near the elevator, and the old air/heater can get loud.

"Pretty and clean, but not for me."
This community was really nice and very clean. The person who gave me the tour answered all my questions and was very helpful. It just wasn’t the right place for me, but I’d still recommend it.

"Nice and Clean, But Memory Care Issue"
When I toured this place, I saw how well-kept and clean it was. The bedrooms were spacious and had great amenities for the residents. The only thing I didn't like was they wanted to put my dad in the memory care unit, and I didn't think it was right for him.

"Very Happy with the Community"
This is a good place with a great staff. My dad is doing well here. We have an extra caregiver for him because we hope he can move to the memory care side soon. The facility is nice and clean, and they do a good job keeping everything that way. I am happy with everything they have done for us.

"Review of Regency Grand At West Covina - West Covina, CA"
This place is exactly where I’d love to live. It’s spacious and probably the newest facility in West Covina. It’s well-lit, and the common areas are clean and roomy. There was a children’s choir from a local school performing for the residents. All the residents were dressed nicely and seemed happy. Since it was the end of the month, they didn’t have an activity flyer available, but they’ll send me one. I really enjoyed the visit, and Leah answered all my questions easily. They also offer a respite period for a daily charge if you need care right after a hospital stay, with medical help available 24/7.

"Stands Out Above All Others"
I checked out a lot of assisted living places and memory care units, and Regency Grand at West Covina was the best by far. The staff is super professional, well-trained, and really cares about giving residents a good life. The prices are fair, and the place looks more like a hotel than a senior home. But it's the staff that makes this place truly special.

"Blessed to find Regency Grand!"
My parents have been at Regency Grand for a little over a year, and it's been the best thing for them at this stage of their lives. Every employee truly cares about what they do and the people they help. The staff and residents all have sincere smiles. We've had no complaints, and any questions we had were answered quickly. My father came alive again after being isolated at home and having multiple strokes. The socializing really helped, and they are very happy and feel blessed. Great job, Regency Grand Team!

"Lovely Setting, But Small Rooms for the Price"
We visited this place while searching for care for our family member. It looked really nice! The grounds were beautiful, and the building was clean and new. Everyone we talked to was nice and acted professionally. But the rooms were a bit small for what they cost. We thought about it for our loved one, but found something else that suited us better.

"Adequate Facility, Lacks Personal Care"
The place was alright. My mom required lots of attention, and it appeared they couldn’t really give the personal care she needed. The facility was pretty large. I’m not sure about the number of residents, but it definitely wasn’t the individual care my mom was looking for.

""More Care Needed Than I Require""
It looked like many folks there needed more help than me. It's definitely geared for assisted living, and it seemed like quite a few people could have had conditions like dementia. I need to keep my mind more active than that place allows, so I can tell it's not the right place for me.

Love my Grandma!
"Regency Grand: The Best Place for Grandma!"
Regency Grand has been amazing for my grandma and really cares about their residents. The Executive Director even called my dad personally to check on her after she had emergency surgery. My grandma is picky and has moved apartments three times, from a studio to a one-bedroom and back to a studio. We had to pay a small fee to move her, but the staff was great and helped with the big furniture. My grandma also LOVES their dog Hoover and takes him for three walks a day. I'm so glad they have house pets! I would recommend this place to everyone. I truly think Regency Grand has extended my grandma's life!

"Regency Grand: The Best Assisted Living Facility We Toured Today"
This was the third facility we toured today. The other two places didn't meet our expectations. Regency Grand in West Covina gets three thumbs up for its appearance, friendly staff, great amenities, and happy residents. It's a 10+ out of 10! Tiffany knew every resident's name and chatted with each one she met. The dining hall was full of happy diners, and the food looked delicious! I'm taking my parents to Regency Grand on Thursday to see what they think.

"New and impressive facility with ample staff and animals"
This place is new and really impressive. It looks like they have plenty of staff. The memory care unit has both advanced dementia patients and some who aren’t as advanced. They have animals to keep the residents engaged. The facility is super clean and well-maintained. If my grandmother ever needs to move, I would definitely consider this place.

"Elegant, Medically Focused, and Pricey"
By far, this place is the fanciest and most focused on health. They have cool extras like a snack area with drinks, cookies, and fresh fruit. That’s a nice touch. Plus, they offer anytime dining. The only downside is the price—it’s a bit expensive for basic independent living. But as needs increase, their medical services are better. I also liked the variety of activities here compared to other places.
