"Friendly staff and comfortable living, but billing needs clarity"
The staff is really nice. I don't like how they do the billing because they don't explain the extra charges. Also, the staff could talk more with the families. The move-in process was good, and I like that they have someone who already lives there to help new people get used to the place. Overall, it's been a good experience, and I would recommend Atria for families looking for a safe and comfortable place for their parents to live.

"Caring Staff Makes Mom's Transition to Atria Evergreen Comfortable"
Placing my mom in assisted living wasn't easy. She has her routines and preferences, and I wanted her to keep making choices. At Atria Evergreen, the director, makes sure they personalize her care. If Mom wants help with showers in the morning instead of later, they do it. If she wants raisin bread for breakfast, they get it. They even cleaned her carpet and bathroom thoroughly when she asked. They made it happen. From the front desk to the maintenance crew, the medical team, the caregivers, and the housekeeper, everyone is caring and helpful. I'm thankful for the whole team at Atria. They've really helped my mom settle into her new home. Atria Evergreen isn't perfect, but the staff is kind and always smiling. Special thanks to [name removed]. Give her a call!

"Nice Tour, Pricey Costs"
Our family took an in-person tour, and it was a really good quality tour. But unfortunately, it was just too expensive for us.

"Assisted Living Falls Short in Warmth and Charm"
I didn’t like that there were apartments on both floors. It felt too much like a regular apartment building. When we visited, it didn’t feel welcoming. Plus, the apartments were old.

"Two stars for clean grounds, but rude directors deter residents"
The people who work here are nice, and the place looks tidy. But the rules for visitors are pretty strict. However, the two main leaders, who are women, are not very friendly or understanding. They don't want to deal with residents' problems. Don't choose this place for your loved ones.

"Top-Notch Care and Comfortable Living in Evergreen Valley Facility"
I picked this place because the staff really know their stuff. The director is so skilled that she actually teaches classes about dementia and elderly care. The facility has won awards for being excellent, and some staff members have their own best of awards too. It’s clean and well-maintained, with a cozy and attractive environment. The price is fair, and while the studio apartments are smaller than some, they fit my mom's needs perfectly. They also offer larger apartments if needed. There’s a Memory Care unit on the first floor in case my mom needs it later on. For now, she’s in Assisted Living and enjoys a lovely view of the hills around San Jose. The place is in a nice area called Evergreen Valley, close to a fancy golf course and a shopping center with a supermarket and specialty stores. I care deeply about my mom and wouldn’t put her somewhere I wouldn’t be happy with myself. I spoke with several residents, and they were all very satisfied with their care. Definitely check out this facility you’ll be glad you did!

"Great Place for Loved Ones"
I had a good time visiting this place for my family member. The workers were punctual for our tour and were really helpful, giving us plenty of useful info and answering my questions. The place was super clean and had lots of cool stuff for everyone living there. But, we decided it wasn't perfect for her in the end.

"Nice Staff, Bit Pricey, City Vibe, Not Homey Enough"
I visited Regency of Evergreen Valley. Staff was friendly. A bit pricey, though. More city-like, less home-like. Good for some, not for my father-in-law.

"Exceptional Service and Comfort Highly Recommended"
So far, my experience has been great. The workers are friendly, the people at the desk are nice, and maintenance is always on top of things. The kitchen staff are also very friendly and always ready to help. For Christmas, I had a dinner there for my sister-in-law, and I felt very comfortable warming things up in the kitchen area. My sister-in-law is very happy living there. Overall, I would definitely give it a five-star rating.

"Decent Assisted Living Facility With Limited Storage And Kitchen Space"
We checked out the biggest one bedroom layout, which was roomy and well-lit. The person who runs the place spent a lot of time with us, telling us how each person's stay is made unique! The only issue for my mom was that it didn't have enough closet or storage room, and the kitchen counter and cabinet space was too small because she's used to a bigger house. Still, this place seemed worth the cost!

We’re really happy with this place for our mom. She loves the different meal choices. The staff is helping her get involved in activities, but she’s not ready to join in yet. The place is very clean everywhere. The staff is always helpful, and overall, we think this is an excellent community.

"Very happy with the care and kindness at this facility"
I’m really pleased with Regency. My mom is in the Memory Care unit, and she is always clean, well-fed, and treated with kindness. It takes a lot of patience and compassion to work in Memory Care, and I see that every day.

"Smaller, cozier, and more comfortable than other assisted living places"
It was really nice. It’s smaller and feels more comfy than other places. It’s a cozy and homey spot. They have a great outdoor area with fun stuff like barbecues and parties. I talk to the director a lot. Regency is a wonderful place. If we had to move Mom, this would be the top choice.

"Great community, friendly residents, and clean with room for food improvement"
Everything seems great. When we moved my mother-in-law in, the residents were very friendly and upbeat. There’s an outdoor area. My mother-in-law isn’t too excited about the food, so that could use some improvement. The community doesn’t smell, which was a big plus for us. The staff is great, and it’s very clean. This is just my perspective, but if anything was wrong, my mother-in-law would definitely let us know.

"A Wonderful Place for Your Loved One"
My grandfather has been living here for 5 years, and he loves it. He enjoys playing cards, especially poker and blackjack, which he gets to play throughout the week. He also really likes doing exercises every morning with other residents. His smile is back, and he’s full of confidence now. The staff here are really passionate and take great care of the residents. It's one less thing we have to worry about as a family. The management is excellent they always listen and work to solve any issues. They even have an open-door policy, which is great because they’re not hiding away. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good home for their loved one.

"Highly Recommend for Loving and Attentive Care"
My grandmother has been living at Regency of Evergreen since 2012, and she absolutely loves it! She enjoys the daily activities, especially going out with the other residents to shop and eat at restaurants. I’m really happy with our choice of Regency of Evergreen for my grandmother and wouldn’t change a thing. The staff is very caring and makes sure everyone is well taken care of. They go above and beyond what’s expected! Our family is incredibly grateful. If you’re looking for a place for your loved ones, this is the best choice. The staff is caring and dedicated, and you won’t be disappointed!

"Charged an Arm and Leg for Short Stay"
We were told my relative would get a big refund if they stayed here for just a short while. We had to pay for a whole month in advance and also put down a deposit. Even though they only stayed for two days, we didn't get nearly enough money back. We only got a bit of the deposit, and they didn't return any of the monthly payment. The cost for just two days was $3,705. That's just nuts! I don't know if they lied to us or if the folks selling us the service and the people running the place just didn't communicate properly. Whichever it was, we didn't have a nice time.

"Informative insight into assisted living options, eager to explore more."
The visit was really helpful. Even though I wasn't likely to choose the place for my mom, the director spent a lot of time with me, explaining how they run things at the Regency. He talked about how they would meet my mom's needs and personality if she were to live there. He also told me about Brookdale, a big company that manages places like this. It was interesting to learn about their way of doing things, which is very organized from the top down. I found out that "Clare Bridge" is the name they use for memory care services, not the facility itself. The one in Ithaca has another place called Sterling House for independent and assisted living. Knowing that what I saw in San Jose would be similar to what's done in Ithaca made the tour even more helpful. I was impressed with their program and want to see more places to compare as I learn.
