The staff are friendly, but there aren't enough of them. It's sometimes difficult to get in touch with the managers. Plus, the community bus hasn't been working for a few months. We picked this place because she wanted to be close to the beach.

"Delicious Meals and Caring Staff"
The staff is really well-trained, and they make sure to cater to my food preferences. The meals are prepared with excellent quality, and the food is delicious!

"Great value and new facility with engaging activities for residents"
The value for the money at Regency Palms Oxnard is great, especially during the first year. This was a big reason we chose this place, along with the fact that it is a brand-new facility. I also like that they have activities planned from Monday to Friday for the residents. My loved one is in memory care, and although the rooms are shared with another person, they are a good size. I would suggest this place to other families looking for similar care.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Promises"
This place isn't what they say it is. I don't think the managers are doing a good job. There should be more things to do. The person in charge of activities is always busy with paperwork instead of being with us. They had a nurse for only two months, and then that nurse left. The one before that left too.

"Caring Staff and Great Amenities"
We moved my dad in here. The staff, from the administrators to the aides, were incredibly helpful. They made an effort to understand his needs in Memory Care. We picked this place because of the lovely courtyard and memory programs.

"Great Value and Wonderful Care at The Regency"
The staff and care services at The Regency have been wonderful so far, and we are very happy with everything. I’m from out of town, so I’m not sure about the activities, but I know our loved one really enjoys the meals and dining service. We got in at a great value that we couldn’t pass up, and overall, this is a perfect fit for our loved one.

I was upset how they ignored me, not letting me in on what was happening. They wouldn't let my loved one join the community.

"New Assisted Living Facility Shows Promise Despite Initial Challenges"
Overall, I think they're doing a really good job. They just started in February, so they're experiencing some small issues, but I believe things will continue to improve. One thing they could work on is improving communication between different parts of the facility. When we first began, they would frequently call to inform me about items my loved one needed. It was okay, but their calls made it seem urgent. Later, the memory care supervisor called to say they did have extras, but they would need more items in about a week. Initially, I was stressed, thinking I wasn't providing enough care for my loved one in addition to what they were doing. However, overall, I think they're doing a great job caring for her. She fell, and they called me immediately and showed the right level of concern. I would certainly recommend them to others.
