"Review: Negligent Staff and Missing Items at Assisted Living Facility"

Some of the staff at this assisted living facility were quite helpful, especially the social worker, physical therapists, doctor, and dietitian. However, there were definitely times when the nursing staff fell short of expectations. I noticed staff on their cell phones, even when residents rang for assistance. At one point, my relative was found in a worrisome state. He was lying sideways in bed, his diaper needed changing, and he wouldn't respond. Furthermore, when he left the facility, both his ring and watch had gone missing. I emailed the manager about these issues, along with complimentary remarks, but didn't receive a response. Honestly, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting anyone in this facility unless there was no other choice.

"Friendly staff, clean place, fits our budget perfectly."

The people who work there are really friendly and kind. They take good care of my dad. The building isn't super fancy, but it's clean and fits our budget perfectly. We're really happy!

"Great Place for Dad!"

I've been to this place with my dad, and the food's okay. They give you a good amount, and it tastes fine. The place is always super clean, they really keep it nice. Everything's set up well. My dad's doing better since he moved here.

"Clean, small rooms; affordable with many services."

I like the place; clean but rooms are too small.

"Mixed feelings about clean but cramped assisted living facility."

I kinda like the place, it's clean and all, but the rooms are way too tiny. I don't reckon my sister-in-law will be comfy without her big recliner and bed. It's a bummer 'cause the cost is real cheap, and they throw in a bunch of stuff.

"Great care and friendly staff for a good price!"

At first, I didn't like Rialto Place when I arrived because of how it looked and the residents outside. So, I chose a nicer but more expensive facility. As costs kept rising and my aunt needed more care, I looked at other places. When I visited Rialto again, I decided to move my aunt there. I found the caregivers, nursing staff, and housekeeping to be excellent! Yes, it looks a bit outdated, and it’s cooler in winter (which I mentioned to the administrator). At the other place, my aunt could control her room temperature, so we miss that. But after paying twice as much for the same care elsewhere, I regret not moving her here sooner. The administrator was wonderful and easy to work with; they even put in new carpet and painted her room before she moved in. There are different residents with various care needs, but overall, they are friendly. I’ve visited during meals, and the food is good (my aunt agrees); they even have evening snacks. After breakfast, many residents come together to pray and sing. It’s nice to see them gather around the big TV for movies after dinner. My aunt says they know her favorite seat and save it for her. The staff is friendly and keeps me informed about any concerns regarding my aunt's health or suggests ways to improve her care (unlike her previous place). Now that my aunt is getting older and her health may decline, I feel secure knowing this staff is taking care of her. Plus, not having to worry about big cost increases is a real blessing.

"Mixed resident mental states, decent food, friendly staff."

It's alright. Many residents seem confused. Food's okay, staff's friendly.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"

This place was better than I expected. Outside, people enjoyed the sun. Inside, others watched TV together. There's a reading room; two read newspapers and magazines. Areas were clean and smelled nice. The dining area is large with many tables. Some tables without chairs accommodate wheelchairs. The carpet in the dining room needs a bit of cleaning, but overall it's okay. I liked it, but I'll discuss with my brother. I want to show him 3 or 4 options, not just one.

"A Pleasant Tour of a Top Choice Facility"

I took a really nice tour of this place, and I thought it was great. Even though I don't need assistance right now, if I did, this would be my top pick.

"Unpleasant Environment: Low Maintenance Raises Concerns About Care Quality"

This place seemed really old and worn out. The carpets were in bad shape, and there were a lot of people hanging around outside with nothing much to do. It didn't feel welcoming to me, and I didn't feel good about it. Out of all the places we looked at, this was the worst. When we arrived, I was shocked to see that the lawn hadn't been mowed, and the grass was really tall. It bothered me that they hadn't even bothered to take care of the lawn. It made me wonder if they actually take care of the people who live there. Even though it was cheaper than other options, we wouldn't have chosen it for our parents. It just didn't seem worth it.

"Poor Maintenance Shows Low Value of Assisted Living Facility"

The place was really in bad shape. The carpets were awful. A lot of people were just hanging out outside, which gave the appearance of boredom. The overall vibe was not good and I didn't feel positive about the place. Of all the places we visited, this was the worst. I was taken aback when we arrived because the grass had not been cut. It was as high as our knees. I found their lack of yard upkeep disturbing. It made us worry - if they can't take care of the property, how well are they taking care of the residents? While it was among the cheaper options, we wouldn't want to place our parents there. It just didn't seem worth the price.
