"Rowntree Gardens: A Mix of Charm and Challenges"

Rowntree Gardens is a good place for me right now. It's an older facility that looks its age, but it's clean inside. The garden areas are nice but need some attention. The decor is outdated, and the food is really good. However, we could use more servers with better training, and parking can be tricky for visitors.

"Question the nursing staff's qualifications before choosing"

This review is about their Skilled Nursing section. There's only one Registered Nurse, a couple of Licensed Vocational Nurses, and the rest are Certified Nursing Assistants. The communication between ourselves, them, and my dad's doctor is pretty bad. They even appear to be annoyed if I ask a question or when my dad needs help going to the bathroom. And don't even think about using their laundry services - we've lost clothes and socks. We picked this facility because my dad likes the assisted living section, but we're having second thoughts now.

"Great Tour Experience with Friendly Staff and Lots of Activities"

I visited this place and the staff were really nice and helpful. They answered all my questions. The facility is really big and there were lots of activities happening. The garden was huge. However, some areas felt crowded with too many people. I suggest families take a tour here before deciding.

"Friendly Staff, But Costs Add Up"

The tour was good and the staff is friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions. We liked it and heard good things about the medical staff. However, the costs weren't fixed, and everything was an add-on, which seemed too pricey for us. My grandpa wasn't comfortable with that.

"Welcoming Assisted Living with Some Room for Improvement"

Everyone was friendly, and the place felt welcoming. provided lots of helpful information. Lunchtime with fellow residents was enjoyable. We wished for a bigger fitness room and a pool. The living quarters were surprisingly nice, and we appreciated the library and common areas. liked the food, and overall, we trusted the staff.

"Resident Care Better Elsewhere for Our Loved One"

When my relative was staying at this assisted living residence, they started reducing the number of staff and other aspects as well. It didn't feel like they were really trying to make sure all the people living there were getting proper attention and care. My relative wasn't happy there, so we moved them somewhere else.

"“Brother Thrives!”"

My brother adjusted well to this community thanks to the friendly staff and welcoming residents. It’s a big deal for us because he usually doesn’t like change. He enjoys the food and joins activities occasionally. Overall, we’re happy and would definitely recommend this place.

"Unhappy with father's care and staff's skills at this facility!"

My father's experience at this facility wasn't good. He stayed there for a short while, but the nursing staff didn't even attempt to manage his care. They did not try to soothe him during his first day there. No one mentioned during our tour or when he moved in that the nurses weren't skilled in this area. Their solution was to increase his medication dosage, which kept him sedated and drowsy most of the time. I was dissatisfied with the level of care he received during his time at their complex.

"Impressive facility with lots of amenities, though rooms are small"

My father and I were really impressed by everything we saw on the tour. The location, grounds, residents, staff, and clean, bright rooms were all great. I like that it’s a community within a community, with doctors, nurses, a beauty salon, a barber, and even a gift shop. The only issue for my father was that the rooms for two people are a bit small. I wouldn’t mind living there myself.

"Great Care for My Mom"

This place is great, and my mom is doing well. She has settled in nicely and is happy. The staff is awesome, very helpful and attentive. Everyone is super friendly. The meals are good, and she likes them. She is being well cared for, and I feel good about it. They give me peace of mind knowing she is safe.

"Failure to Deliver Promised Care!"

Rowntree Gardens assured us numerous times they could handle my mom's care, both on the phone and during our tour. However, they failed to live up to these promises. They couldn't deliver the necessary care for my mom, so I had to transfer her to another place.

"Great care and happy celebrations at Rowntree Gardens."

Rowntree Gardens took care of my in-laws for almost 8 years. The staff always helped with their physical and emotional needs. The Life Care program was really helpful, letting them move easily between assisted living and skilled nursing. We celebrated many birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays there, and the staff made sure everything was perfect for us. Overall, we had a very positive experience at Rowntree.

"Short Stay Lacked Warmth and Proper Follow-up"

We spent a brief time at this living facility with my mother-in-law. She received basic care and interacted with some nice employees. The place looks pretty decent and has lovely surroundings. However, my mom had a few problems with some of the nurses, as she found them to be somewhat rude and slow when she needed to use the restroom. I also got the impression that they were trying to rush her out after just two weeks. We never received any follow-up call or anything from them once we were done with their services. Overall, our experience could have been improved.

"Review of Rowntree Gardens"

This place is so nice! The gardens are beautiful! Jennifer was really nice and she showed us around the Memory Gardens part of Rowntree. It looks like they take good care of the residents here. The dining room was really nice too. We might think about putting Mom here.

"Aunt Thrilled with Rowntree Gardens' Friendly, Safe Environment"

My Aunt loves Rowntree Gardens! It's a fantastic place. She feels safe and comfortable there. Everyone is really friendly, no matter the time. She can leave her room and hang out with other people her age, which is great for her. She’s happy she moved there now instead of later. It’s also easy for me to visit her. I’m extremely happy with this community. They have a rec room on every floor and lots of activities. Each floor also has a big laundry room. When the room style she wanted wasn’t available, they built a kitchenette in her room. While they did that, she stayed in a respite care room and we could store her furniture in another room.

"Excellent Care at Rowntree Gardens"

We really enjoyed Rowntree Gardens. They looked after my mom really well. However, it turned out to be too expensive for her needs, so we’re exploring other options. Still, we have only positive things to say about Rowntree Gardens.

"Secure, friendly, but lacking in activities for memory care residents."

Quaker Gardens had lots of staff and supervision. It felt safe and controlled with sign-ins and a visitor log. The staff were nice. The food was okay. In memory care, activities were limited. They promised more but didn't deliver as often as hoped.

"Exceptional Service and Great Value—Very Happy!"

The staff has been incredibly helpful and understanding. There were times when we had to wait to get my parents checked in, and I thought we’d be charged for the wait, but they didn’t charge us at all. They have gone above and beyond to be accommodating. Compared to other places, it’s a great value. We’re very happy!

"Wonderful Facility with Happy Residents"

I spent the last few days taking photos at this facility, and it was amazing. I spent 8 hours each day meeting people, visiting homes, common areas, and dining areas. It was so wonderful. I asked everyone I photographed how they liked living there, and their answers were so touching. They all said they loved the sense of community and support. They mentioned making lots of friends and always having someone to talk to. Another thing everyone loved was the food. They recently hired a new chef, and the food was really impressive. While I was there, a chef was on the beautiful outdoor patio making fresh BBQ meals to order. One interesting thing I noticed was the large number of men living there. At both of my grandmothers’ homes, there were very few men. But at this place, there were a lot of men. Overall, I was very impressed with the facility. There were smiles and laughter everywhere.

"Great experience so far with attentive staff"

My loved one has been here for a short time, but so far, everything has been great. The staff are very attentive and respond quickly to any requests I make. I also appreciate how they keep me updated on my loved one's condition.

"Clean, spacious, and great parking!"

The facility is really clean and feels open, not cramped. Unlike some places that are too small, this one has plenty of space. There’s also lots of parking, which is great since I still drive. They do provide transportation, but it can be quite pricey. Overall, the prices are normal, and I think this would be a good place for me in the future if I need it.

"Supportive staff and tasty meals"

My sister lives there and is doing really well. She seems really happy with the place. She told me, "I'm calling this home." She lived in another apartment for over 30 years and never planned on moving, but now she thinks this place is much better! She doesn’t miss her old apartment at all. There are lots of activities. She’s not big on activities yet, but I’m sure she’ll join in soon. She eats the meals there and enjoys them, which is great because she’s a bit picky. The staff is very supportive but not overbearing. They give her space but also keep an eye on things. We’re really happy she’s there.

"All-in-One Living with Memory Care"

Independent and assisted living with memory care all in one place. There's plenty of space to walk around, but unfortunately, no pets allowed. While I can imagine people living here, I'd prefer a location closer to home.
