"Settling In with Some Room for Meal Variety"
The facility has 6 other people living there besides my mom, and they’re doing more for her than I could have managed on my own. They keep the place really clean, always tidying up after the residents. At first, my mom was unhappy about having sandwiches every day, and she might still be eating them. They do make other dishes like casseroles and soups too. Recently, they served pork steak, which she really enjoyed, and she wishes they would make more meals like that.

"We Were All Smiling and Happy"
I visited many places before, but my family didn’t agree. When I brought Mom to River Gardens, both my brother and Mom were smiling big. I got emotional and knew it was the right place for Mom. I felt the same after her 10-day stay for respite care!

"Clean, attentive, but concerned about staff's lifting ability"
So far, I’m quite happy with them. It’s very clean, and the staff is attentive and responsive. He’s eating well, which is good. When I visited, the staff was very helpful, and I liked that it’s family-oriented with plenty of assistance. The place is clean and convenient, and I was impressed by the overall look and what was said. My only concern is that the caregivers might not be strong enough to lift my loved one out of bed. I was hoping they could help him into his walker, but I didn’t realize this could be an issue since I didn’t see the staff during my tour.

"Warm and welcoming home for Dad"
Welcome Home in Carmichael, CA has been amazing. They worked with us on when my dad could move in since he was in the hospital with no set release date. They were patient and promised to save a spot for him. When he finally arrived, they welcomed him warmly and made sure he got all his meds and needs met. Dad loves the food and feels safe. We are very thankful for this special home for my dad.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Friendly Assisted Living with Pricey Transportation"
Great place, mostly men, clean, friendly staff. Pricey rides to doctors. Manager was kind but vague about costs. Hospice welcome.

"Comfortable facility for seniors, slight concerns on transportation and costs."
This place is really nice. It's mostly guys here, but everyone seems friendly. The place is always clean, and there are lots of people around to help. But getting to the doctor can cost between $50 and $75, which is kind of pricey. Also, they seemed really eager to get me to sign up, and they weren't super clear about all the costs. The manager is nice, but they're really into religion. On the plus side, they do allow hospice care, which is good to know.
