"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short, Not My Ideal Choice"
I've had some good and bad experiences here. Honestly, I'd rather not live in an assisted living place at all.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"
It's better than most places. I like it, but there are some administrative issues.

"Amazing Staff Makes Transition Easier for Mom"
My mom recently moved to the Villas, and it was tough for her to go from her home of 50 years to a one-bedroom apartment. But the staff at the Villas have been incredible over the past two months. They are caring, helpful, cheerful, kind, and patient with her as she adjusts. We believe she will soon feel at home here. Her health has improved a lot thanks to their careful management of her medications and diet. We are very thankful to everyone at the Villas for taking such good care of my mom!

"Great place for active, social seniors with friendly staff."
SC Villas by the Sea is a great place for my mom. They have fun outings, bingo, and nice staff. There are birds, a pool, and things for families to do. Residents can do their own laundry. It's a good place for active and social seniors.

"Comfortable Community for Your Loved One"
This is a really nice and cozy place for your loved one when considering senior living. My mother is doing well at San Clemente Villas By The Sea, and I’m happy I chose this place. The community looks great, and it’s always clean. The staff has been excellent and very helpful. My mother hasn't joined in the activities yet; she prefers to sit in the lobby with other residents and enjoy the music, which is lovely. The food is delicious, and my mother likes it too. I highly recommend this community because it’s a comfortable place, and everyone here is cheerful.

"Mixed Feelings About New Director"
My wife and I both live here. She's in the memory unit. When we moved in, they replaced the memory unit director with the activities director. It's like taking a great teacher out of the classroom and making her a principal. Kym was an amazing activities director: enthusiastic, outgoing, and a great leader. But now, she's mostly in an office. And her replacement? The owner's daughter! Unfortunately, she lacks personality, doesn't understand music, and is always unprepared. She's not ready for the job. I'm not sure she really gets dementia or Alzheimer's. I see her at work almost every day. I've talked to the staff managers and even the co-owner, but nothing will change. Their hands are tied. The co-owner has made up his mind. .

"Mixed Experience: Stellar Activities, Poor Leadership Transition"
My wife and I, both living here, share our thoughts. She's in the memory unit. After we moved, the memory unit's leader got replaced. It's like when you take a great teacher and make them a principal. Kym, who was amazing at organizing activities, got shifted to an office. We really liked her, and she was a big reason we chose this place. Now, her replacement is the owner's daughter. This new director lacks personality, doesn't get music, is always unprepared, and lacks leadership skills. It seems like she's not ready for the job and doesn't understand dementia or Alzheimer's. I've spoken with many staff members and even the co-owner. But it seems like nothing will change. The co-owner has decided, and that's that!

"Smaller Facility Preferred for Comfort"
We checked out this place for my step-dad, but it had too many people for him. He likes smaller places where he feels more at ease.

"Size makes it less likely to feel like home"
This place is set up similar to a large hotel. During my visit, I couldn't imagine my family member fitting in well here. It was simply too large and didn't seem to offer a homely vibe.
