"SRC Prioritizes Profit Over Resident Welfare, Review Warns"

Saratoga Retirement Community (SRC) seems more focused on profits than the welfare of its residents. It often feels like they're more interested in making money, instead of doing what's best for everyone living there. If your parents are getting on in years and dealing with health problems, you need to stand up for them. SRC might urge them to move into assisted living or a memory care unit before they're ready or truly need it. So, make sure to go over the contract thoroughly before your parents even move into the SRC.

"Positive visit but not my perfect match for living here"

The visit to this community went well. Staff arrived punctually for my appointment and patiently answered all my questions. The property was tidy, and residents had access to many excellent amenities. Ultimately, it wasn't the right choice for me.

"Facility rejected sister last minute, causing disappointment and rush"

I felt truly let down by this facility. My sister was prepared to move in and our entire family took the time to visit. We actually liked the staff and the residents. But, out of the blue, they informed us that my sister didn't meet their requirements, causing us to scramble.

"Assisted Living Facility Unhelpful and Too Expensive"

I'm definitely not happy with how this center dealt with my dad's situation. My dad needed a bit of extra attention because of his behavior, but instead of trying to find a way to help, they suggested I should get a 24/7 home care team for him. That was something I couldn't afford. They didn't want to help me find a solution, so I had to take my dad out from there. I wouldn't advise anyone to consider this place.

"Good Service, but Needs 24-Hour Nursing Care"

So far, everything’s been okay. There was a small mix-up with getting my mom’s medicine when she moved in, even though they knew about it. The nurses and helpers should keep track of her meds, give them on time, let us know when she needs more, and call us back. But the sales lady was super nice, even though she’s new. She looked for answers when she didn’t know something about my questions, which was great. My mom’s having a blast hanging out with her friends, going on trips, and getting help with her shopping. She gets to pick from different meals and can even get them to go. I see the servers working really hard to make the residents happy. They give rides to the doctor’s office, so I don’t have to worry about that. It’s cool that they have rehab and care for memory problems if she needs it later. The place is beautiful, but I wish they had nurses around all day, not just until 6 pm.

"Comfortable senior living with great staff and expansive grounds."

My dad stayed at this place for just over five years. He moved to a better memory care unit closer to family, but his time here was really good. The memory care unit was small and still growing when he needed it most, so that's why he moved. The community is huge, almost 40 acres with beautiful grounds and lots of residents. They offer assisted living, independent living, and memory care. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. In the end, the new place suited him better, but Saratoga was excellent while he was there.

"Disappointing Experience: Lack of Activities and Engagement for Residents"

My mom stayed at this place for some time, but it was just as bad as the previous one. The worst part was the lack of things to do. They'd leave her sitting, staring at a wall all day if I didn't visit.
