"Well-maintained apartments in a pleasant community setting."
The apartments at this place are really nice. They were built a while back, but they still look nice and are taken care of well.

"Blessed to be at Sierra View Homes!"
I'm really blessed to be here at Sierra View Homes. My husband has been in Skilled Nursing for many years. I live in an apartment, so I can visit him several times a day. The staff is very caring and friendly. I also enjoy swimming five days a week in the indoor pool. I'm thankful to the Lord for Sierra View Homes.

"Wonderful care and respect for both residents and families."
I really love this place! Not just because I work here, but because five years ago, I was looking for a home for my parents. I found Sierra View Retirement Community. My stepmom lived in Independent Living Apartments, Residential Care, and Skilled Nursing. With my dad living on campus, it was easy for him to visit her many times a day when she got sick and needed more care. After moving them here, I saw firsthand what a wonderful place this is. They treated both my stepmom and dad with the respect and care they deserved. I'm so lucky to have found this great place in Reedley.

"Friendly and Caring Assisted Living with Plenty of Activities"
My mom moving to Sierra View Homes has been really good so far. The place feels warm and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly when I visit. They're attentive to her needs and make sure she gets her food just right, even though it has to be pureed. Mom likes it, though! There are lots of activities that the staff encourages everyone to join in, and Mom loves watching them all. They've also got nice spots outside where residents can go and get some fresh air. I think other people would like this place too.

"Sierra View Homes Fails to Provide Adequate Care for Resident"
My father was staying in the skilled nursing section of Sierra View Homes, and my mom was living independently there. The only thing that made my father's care bearable was that my mom spent almost every hour of the day looking after him. Both the managers and workers didn't appreciate her presence and even treated her poorly. My dad recently got very sick, and the staff at Sierra View Homes didn't increase his care or treatment. When I demanded they test him for infections (which he did have), they initially refused. Later, they admitted that they didn't have the right supplies for testing because they had expired, were thrown away, and they didn't order replacements. In the end, my father was taken to the hospital. He had multiple serious health problems that resulted in him passing away just over a week later. My mom doesn't feel safe living there anymore due to how poorly the staff treated my dad in his final days. She is now looking for a new place to live out her remaining years.

"Basic Care, Poor Food, and Lighting Issues at Facility"
I've been let down in so many ways. They've got the essentials, but just barely. It took me five days and four different people to finally get in touch with the woman in charge of the kitchen. Most of the time, the food is just not fit to eat. I've been unable to get the lights fixed in my room and the hallway. The nurse's assistants are helping in the kitchen, and the kitchen staff are helping with the nursing.

"Mostly Happy with Sierra View Homes"
Overall, I am very happy with Sierra View Homes. When we needed a small single room, they didn't have one available. They did give us a large unit at a small rate. The agreement was that if a small single became available, we would decide if we wanted the small room or stay in the large one if we could afford it. However, a crisis came up, and they needed the large unit for double occupancy. They called to let us know, but by the time we got there, they had already moved 2/3 of her things out. There was no sensitivity in the situation. They were trying to help the resident because her husband was dying, but they didn't consider Sally being new. The care is good. The patient/staff ratio is good. One thing that bothers me is if clients or residents don't want to get dressed, the staff lets them stay in their pajamas. So, sometimes in the common areas, the residents still have their pajamas on. Sally is on hospice, so she gets showers through them. I thought the staff would still give her at least one shower. They have accommodated us, and we at least have a new shower schedule worked out. Overall, it is very positive. The only thing that bothered the family was the whole situation with moving her in. Their garden courtyard is very nice. Sally was always a gardener. We would encourage them to get a bigger TV in the common area so 12-15 people can see it better. One very positive thing is they got iPods for the residents. I think that is a really great thing.

"Affordable Senior Housing with Religious Inclusivity"
I’m searching for affordable senior housing where I can live independently. A pool would be great. I noticed this community has a religious affiliation; do they welcome people of different faiths?
