"Caring Staff, But Facility Lacks Warmth and Comfort"
I could see the staff's genuine compassion for the residents. I thought the facility was overall clean, and the activities were engaging for the residents. The one issue I have is that Solano Life House feels like a dreaded facility. There is nothing warm about the decor, except when the fire is on the TV. Everything is plain and feels more like a business than a home. I also never understood why the residents who can't walk were always made to stay in their wheelchairs. There were many comfy chairs along the wall that often stayed empty except for those who can sit there on their own. I know I instructed the staff, as per the doctor and hospice nurse, to have my mother sit with her legs raised for a few hours during the day due to circulation issues and a fractured back. However, this only happened a few times during her stay.

My dad has been at Solano Life House for over 3 years. I finally felt comfortable enough to take vacations because I knew he was well taken care of. The staff are super friendly and caring. I’m so grateful someone told me about Solano Life House. My dad thinks of it as his home, and we all feel like one big family here.

"Solano Life House: A Safe and Caring Home"
My mom lived at Solano Life House for almost 4 years, and I was very happy with our experience. I first placed her somewhere else, which was a HUGE mistake! Once she moved to Solano Life House, she felt safe and started smiling again. The caregivers and staff hugged her, joked with her, and truly cared about her happiness. As a family member, I always watched how the staff treated not just my mom but everyone there. Their care and concern were consistent whether a family member was present or not. The facility manager and general manager were always open to suggestions and very responsive as my mom's needs changed. I highly recommend Solano Life House and have referred several friends, three of whom also placed their loved ones there and are very happy with their decision. Placing my mom in a facility was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but Solano Life House was the best place for her!

"Excellent Care, Room for Improvement at Maplewood Assisted Living"
This place is great! The people who take care of us are super nice. Sometimes they don't have enough help, though, and they should get more. Also, they should do a better job cleaning up around here, especially the wheelchairs. But Mary, the boss, is really great!

My wife has lived here for 3 1/2 years because she needs 24/7 care. I’m very happy with her care. The staff is always warm and friendly, making the place feel nice. The meals are good, plentiful, and tasty. The facility is bright, airy, and spotless. I don't think I could have found a better place for her given our situation.

"Exceptional Care and Engaging Activities at Solano Life House"
Solano Life House is a very caring place. The staff is amazing, always kind and genuinely interested in the clients' needs. This kindness is evident from the director to the care providers and even the groundkeepers. It’s what makes the place special. They offer many activities to keep clients active and engaged throughout the day. Clients also go on community outings in Dixon and nearby areas. We feel confident that mom is being well cared for. Thank you, Solano Life House!

"Highly Recommend Solano Life House"
I checked out a bunch of places before picking Solano Life House. The administrator and her team are super nice and caring. From day one, my mom has felt right at home here. She's even gotten better since moving in. Even though she's only been here a short time, she talks to everyone and the staff is really kind to her. She now goes on trips and there are fun activities every day with the activity directors. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a small, caring facility.

"Thank You for Caring for Our Dad"
I just wanted to say thank you for taking such good care of my dad, [Removed]. I visited once from Tennessee and was really impressed by the cleanliness, friendly staff, and how they answered all our questions. It's hard to put your dad in a care home, but I'm so glad he's with you. I know he's as safe as possible.

"Nearly Move-In Ready"
At the time we visited and on subsequent visits, there were no available rooms at the assisted living facility. The community houses approximately 38 residents. During my first stop, I noticed a long table where guests and residents were preparing for lunch. On another occasion, in the mid-afternoon, I observed residents sitting around, some watching TV in a spacious room designated for them.

"Mom is Thriving at Solano Life House!"
We had our mom living at home, thinking it was best. But she wasn't happy. We looked for something called Memory Care and saw many big facilities we didn't like. Then we found Solano Life House in Dixon. Now our mom is happy, and we're thankful to the caring people at Solano Life House for giving her a new life. What I first noticed was their fair pricing. The fixed rate reduces stress and focuses on care. Next, the common room and halls are social places where people can make friends and do things together, even with dementia. But the best part is how the staff bonds with and truly cares for the residents. I’m very grateful to their team for everything they’ve done for our mom. It’s all about her.

"Warm and Helpful Staff at Solano Life House in Dixon"
Everyone at Solano Life House is really friendly and helpful. Whenever you need something, they're right there to help. The person in charge is always positive and busy, and she's climbed up through all the jobs here. They're doing their best to make my mom feel at home. The place is clean, simple, and pet-friendly. My mom could even bring her parakeet, and they welcome dogs and cats too. I like bringing our dog when I visit; it cheers everyone up. They're a bit short-staffed right now, but the staff are still attentive, even if they're busy. Once they have enough staff, things will be even better. You can visit anytime, day or night. I'm relieved my mom is here; it got too hard to take care of her at home.

"Just the Help I Needed"
I was in rehab after knee surgery when my 95-year-old father fell and broke his leg. Solano House was a great help because I couldn't care for him alone, as I had been doing for several years. Later, he developed pneumonia and never recovered. During the difficult time, hospice care at Solano House provided every accommodation and comfort for him, my sister, and me. It still makes me cry to talk about it, but they were great, especially the directors.
