First and foremost, A Place for Mom was a huge help for a situation I had never been in before. After my mother had a stroke while she was in an assisted living facility, she couldn’t go back because of her needs. She wouldn’t stay with us, and I didn’t want her in a convalescent hospital for the rest of her life. St. James filled that gap with a home-like environment and a staff that took great care of her.
