"Beautiful Facility, Lack of Inclusivity Felt"

My daughter and I toured this place in the summer of 2017. The setting was gorgeous, yet I didn't feel accepted as an African American.

"Great place, but need room details and cleaning service schedule."

I really liked this place, but before I make up my mind, I gotta see the rooms. I'm waiting for staff to let me know when I can check out a bungalow and a 2-bedroom. Also, I'm curious if the 2-bedroom is actually 2 separate rooms with their own bathrooms that they connect with a door, or if it's more like an apartment with a living room and 2 bedrooms. Oh, and do they offer daily cleaning service?

"Simply the Best!"

Studio Royale has been great to us. The people here are amazing, and I can’t say enough good things about them. This is the best place you could find. I totally recommend it.

"Decent Tour, But No Parking and Needs Updates"

I enjoyed a pleasant tour and the staff were really good at clearing up my queries. However, I noticed some aspects which need improvement and I'm not convinced the place is in the best spot for me. On top of all this, there's no spot for my car meaning I'd always be on the lookout for parking.

"Great activities and care for residents"

They have fun outings and activities. The CNAs are great and really care for everyone. The residents are always dressed nicely and clean. The meals are impressive. For Labor Day, they had a live band and a barbecue with hot dogs, burgers, BBQ chicken, baked beans, potato salad, and ice cream. Afterward, they took the residents to the marina for an outing. I joined my mom and had a great time. There’s always something to do, so no one gets bored. I’d choose this place for myself.

"Comfortable and Welcoming Assisted Living for Seniors"

My former husband recently moved into Studio Royale on [Removed]. It’s too soon to give a full review, but what we've seen is impressive. The place is clean, pleasant, and everyone is friendly. They offer lots of activities for seniors. I think he'll enjoy his time there.

"Excellent Community"

This community is excellent, and the care provided is great. The staff is wonderful and caring. They offer various additional services at different prices, which are very helpful. The meals are outstanding, with a good variety. Activities are always available, and my mom had a beautiful view from her room. I highly recommend it for loved ones needing great care.

"Review of Studio Royale - Culver City, CA"

This place is really nice, but they urgently need to replace the dirty carpets in the hallways leading to the rooms. If they swapped out those carpets, I'd consider the larger corner deluxe studios. Alternatively, the street bungalows (which I couldn't see inside) with full kitchens are also worth checking out. For more privacy and a pleasant view, I recommend looking into rooms accessible from the fountain courtyard on the ground floor. During lunchtime in the dining room, I didn't see many people similar to my younger, active mother. Surprisingly, the facility lacked a folder with photos of the rooms and the rest of the place. All they provided was a price list menu and an activity sheet.

"Needs More Staff, English-Speaking Preferred"

This place had potential to be great, but it's just not there yet. They need more people working there. Also, it'd help if those folks spoke English well. Until they fix these issues, I wouldn't suggest it.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"

It's a nice place overall. My mom fell and hurt her hip, but the caretaker didn't respond quickly. Thankfully, she's okay now. They should improve care for non-mobile residents. On the bright side, the food was excellent.

"Spacious Rooms"

The rooms at this assisted living facility were the best part. They're spacious and have plenty of room for my mom. There's also a sort of library that she really enjoys.

"Upset Over Slow Response to Mom's Calls at SR"

While my brothers and sisters and I are somewhat happy with SR, it's really distressing that our mom, often had to wait one to two hours for her calls for help to get a response. This has happened three times at least. This isn't right and. We want to understand what steps you're taking with your staff to make sure this doesn't happen anymore. Let us know, please.

"Excellent Care and Support at Culver City's Studio Royale"

Terri Weitzman is amazing. She's friendly, listens well, and helpful. Perfect for finding care for your loved ones. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always active. Rooms are spacious and the food is tasty. My mom's been here almost two weeks, and I'm confident I made the right choice with Studio Royale in Culver City.

I live at Studio Royale, and it’s a really good place. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food is awesome. It was a bit hard to get used to being taken care of, but everyone has been great.

"Great staff, excellent care; not quite needed for independence."

We visited Studio Royale while searching for a spot for my mom. It looked really nice, and the staff were friendly and took good care of the residents. Ultimately, we chose a different place because Studio Royale provides more care than my mom currently requires—she's still pretty independent. But overall, it seems like a good option for those who need that level of assistance.

Our time at Studio Royale was short, but good. My dad stayed there briefly before he got sick and had to go to the hospital. The staff were really nice and helpful.

"Good care, clean place, and helpful cost program."

Things are going pretty well. The food varies, but that's normal. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. They take good care of her and offer many activities. There’s a senior center nearby, so she always has something to do. Plus, there's a program in Culver City that can help with costs if you qualify, which is a big help for families.

"A Few Areas for Improvement"

Overall, we like Studio Royale, but there are a couple of things they could do better. First, they should ask me specific questions about medications instead of relying solely on what my dad says. Second, having a set laundry schedule would be helpful instead of waiting until the clothes pile up.

"Great place, but needs more staff"

The activities are really good, and the food is healthy and varied. I wish they would help my mom with her showers more often. They seem a bit short-staffed, which affects the care and friendliness. But my mom is happy, and overall, I’m very satisfied.

"Caring, solve problems quickly, provide van service"

What I like most is that they really care about my mom and her well-being. If my mom has a problem, they fix it right away. My mom is usually hard to please, but she is very happy here. The only thing that needed improvement was the food, but they got a new cook, and he's doing great. They also provide van service for her to go to the doctor and shopping. They are doing a great job.

"Friendly staff, good food, clean space, and helpful services"

The director, Terry, is really nice and helpful. My uncle enjoys the food there, and I’ve tried it too—it’s good. The dining room is very clean. The nurses are friendly and helpful. They drive him to doctor appointments, give him his meds correctly, clean his room, and even bring meals to his room if he wants. There are lots of activities, but my uncle doesn’t join in much.

"Convenient location, clean, good staff, but needs more activity coordination"

This place works well for us because it's close to where we live and work. That's really important. Mom enjoys the chance to socialize here. The place is tidy, and the staff mostly pay attention to her needs. Our representative looked at smaller homes with 4 or 8 beds, but they were farther away. Plus, there wouldn't have been as much chance for Mom to make friends. So, this place is better for her. The staff takes good care of Mom. They try their best. Whenever there's a problem, they deal with it quickly. The people who run things seem a bit distant, but the staff who work directly with Mom are helpful. They make sure she gets the care she needs. Last Friday, I joined Mom for an activity. The person in charge of activities is really good. But I think one person might not be enough. Maybe they could have more events with more people in charge. Having more staff around could help. Mom only has minor issues, but she still needs help. Some of the other residents have more serious problems. It's not a big deal, but I wish more people were at the same level as Mom. And it would be good if there were more staff to help out during activities. Overall, we picked this place because it's the best choice considering where it is, how much it costs, and the chance for Mom to meet new people.

"Couldn't Stand the smell - Only Decent Thing: Room Size"

I can't possibly think about moving in here. There's an unpleasant odor, and everyone leaves their doors open to the corridors. The only saving grace is that the rooms are quite spacious.

"A Wonderful Place for Seniors"

This place is really nice. It's super clean and has lots of staff to help out. The food is fresh, and the people who work here are really caring. The bosses are good too, always making sure everything runs smoothly. Some folks have been living here for a long time, like over 10 years! It's also close to the senior center, and you can easily get to the store or wherever you need to go.

"Bright Sun Problem, Otherwise Decent!"

This place has its ups and downs. The room I received, well I didn't realize it when I saw it in the morning, but the sun's brightness is too much for me. I can hardly see and it gets too hot. That's my only issue. Everything else is pretty decent. The food is edible. We picked this place because my son preferred it.

"Great community, close to home with free limo service"

This place is a great community and is close to home. They offer a free limo service. It costs $3,750 a month with a $500 deposit. We paid the $500 deposit to move in.

"Cheerful and Efficient"

It’s pretty good. My mom left the other place because it was just a basic bed and board spot, and it wasn’t safe enough for her. It was too easy for her to leave. At Studio Royale, it’s more like an organized place with 50 people living there, following rules and regulations. I think they’re doing their best. The staff is really friendly and gets things done efficiently.

"Mom loves Studio Royale and feels very happy here"

I really like Studio Royale. My mom seems very happy there. She recently moved from a semi-private to a private room. She stays active with 45 minutes of exercise daily, playing cards, and bingo. Sometimes, people come in to play music and sing. I checked out many places, and I think she feels comfortable here. There are fancier places, but that’s not what my mom needs. These people are really nice and friendly. It feels like a lot of money, but nothing is cheap these days. It's affordable compared to other places. She loves the food. The portions are big, and they serve meat at almost every meal, which she needs to cut back on. She asked for more salads, and now they give her salads, so that’s good.

This place had the perfect spot. But the one-bedroom space was rather tiny compared to what it cost. I didn't think I'd be at ease living in here.

"Sunlit Assisted Living with Flexible Pricing and Community Amenities"

This place is really pretty with lots of sunlight and nice rooms. It's right by a super cool Senior Center, park, and library. The director used to be a student, and they're willing to work with me on the price if I get two units. The only problem is if I need extra help like getting dressed or bathing, I have to hire someone myself, but I can share the cost with other people who live here. Overall, it's a good place to think about moving to.
