"Sun Oak Assisted Facility: Gloomy and Lacking Personal Space"
During our hunt for a suitable assisted living facility, we visited Sun Oak Senior Living. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone. It was gloomy and sad. Each room housed two people with only a bed and a shared TV.

"Well-Rounded Assisted Living Facility with Room for Improvement"
This place is medium-sized. They take good care of residents. Every person considering it should tour and decide. I'd suggest it to others, having seen many places. It's perfect for my mom and she's happy. They keep it very clean. Meals and dining service are good. One area they lack a bit is activities. Memory care lacks an activities director currently. Assisted living seems to have activities, though. Cost-wise, it's reasonable compared to others.

"Warm and Welcoming Community"
The staff was friendly and welcoming. The community felt cozy, like home. They have a good schedule of daily activities and live entertainment. The food options are great. We were informed about an upcoming remodel for paint, flooring, and furniture.

"Third Night Incident Highlighting Care Facility's Inadequate Response"
On the third day, he managed to set off an outside door alarm and escape. The staff who were supposedly "busy" couldn't locate him in the dark. The alarm bracelet, which I was paying an extra $200 per month for, did its job, unlike the staff. The police ended up getting involved. He was then moved to the Lock Down Memory Care unit, which was a total disaster. They urged me to secure a Seroquil prescription, a drug which isn't officially approved for this use by the FDA, or they threatened to send him to Sutter Roseville to have a doctor there administer the drug. Their common spaces aren't spacious at all, and the furniture was very uncomfortable. Moreover, they lock the bedrooms during day time. Fortunately, I had a 30-day resignation notice, and we were able to part ways.

""Consider Other Options: This Facility Needs Improvement""
We visited this facility and were not impressed. It was dimly lit, and we saw residents wandering around. The place didn't look very clean, and we weren't comfortable with the overall atmosphere. The staff was nice to talk to, though. We believe there's a lot that needs to be improved here. It might be a good idea for families to look at other possibilities.

"Kind and Caring Staff at Sun Oak"
My dad lived at Sun Oak for 3 years before he passed away. The staff were some of the kindest and warmest people I’ve ever met. My dad loved all the activities, lunches, and events. They always went above and beyond to help. Visiting my dad was always a pleasure. Thank you, Sun Oak, for everything you do to care for each person.

"Medicated Residents and Partial Walls Disappoint at Aged Facility"
The place is aged but has been modernized. I wasn't fond of the partial walls in the rooms. I was also put off by the staff's apparent pride in keeping the residents medicated if they express their thoughts or disagreements.

"Outstanding care for dad"
My father is happy here. This community is exactly what we needed. The menu is good, and he's pleased with all the meals. There are activities for him to join with other residents. We would recommend this community to anyone looking for great care and value for a family member.

"Sun Oak Review: Feels Like Family"
I visited Sun Oak a few times before choosing it for my Mom. The people there are very nice and make you feel at home. Mom is really happy there. They treat her with a lot of love. We have great communication with them. I can’t say enough good things about them. They feel like part of our family. They have fun activities, games, and parties. The food looks good and smells amazing. This is a place I would choose for myself if I ever need to. My family and I absolutely love them.

"Hopeless Haven: Uninspired Life and Constant Staff Changes"
Terrible leadership causes frequent staff changes. Not enough to do. Most of the people living here just sit around with nothing to do, looking sad and hopeless.

I think everything is going great. My dad is really happy there. He’s never complained about the food, and everyone seems really nice and caring. Honestly, I have no complaints. Everything seems to be going well!

Overall, Sun Oak Assisted Living seems pretty good. The people who take care of our family member are nice and seem to do a good job. The place is clean and well-maintained, and they make sure the residents are okay. We're happy with it overall!

Sun Oak was nice, but we weren't ready. The food was very good. I liked the layout; it wasn't too big and felt cozy. We liked another place, but it was too large. This place was just the right size. The staff was friendly, and it was very clean.

"Clean and Cheerful Assisted Living Experience"
I was considering this place along with another. It seemed alright. They split it into memory care and assisted living, so if you were sharp or not was the gist. The cost for what we could afford meant sharing a room with someone else. It looked neat and tidy, and the ladies at the front desk were friendly and happy.

"Amazing Care and Communication, Wonderful Community"
I really like this community. They took great care of my loved one and always kept in touch. They went above and beyond in every way. The staff is fantastic, well-trained, and very caring. They genuinely want to help the residents. Everything about them was excellent. The care coordinator and the administrator are amazing. Even after moving out, we still stay in touch with them.
