"Friendly Staff and Spacious Apartments"

They've been really helpful getting my dad settled in and being attentive. The staff is super sweet and friendly, and the apartments are a great size.

"Not Recommended Assisted Living Facility"

I think the Director of the Med Tech and the caregivers don't really know how to manage their department. They don't return phone calls or answer emails, which is frustrating. The person in charge of housekeeping and maintenance is overworked and doesn't respond to calls either. The housekeepers don't do a good job, and the bathrooms aren't big enough for walkers. Overall, I'm not happy with this place and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

"Mixed Feedback on Assisted Living Facility"

Senior facilities often see many staff changes, but to truly understand one, talk to residents. Tour the facility, chat with current residents, and ask about staff longevity, food quality, and care. Hearing from others with family there is best, though not always possible. Food was consistently problematic and worsened over time, including food service.

"Gloomy Assisted Living Experience"

I visited Sunnycrest Senior Living, and honestly, it felt old, gloomy, and just plain bad! The moment I stepped inside, I knew I’d never live there.

"Avoid This Facility: Dirty, Disorganized, and Understaffed"

I was really displeased with this assisted living facility. It was my first experience with such a facility for my parents, and they were messy, poor in organization, and seriously lacking in staff. The management team was rarely around, handling the billing was a huge hassle, and I had to hire a private caretaker to assist my parents because the facility couldn't provide enough care due to staff shortage. I found dead insects and garbage in the resident rooms that went uncleaned for weeks. There were also bags of clean laundry left on the floor which my parents couldn't manage. Even simple things like requesting a bill took ages to complete and were still done wrongly. I got to know about other facilities that cost less but offer more care. I would never suggest this place to anyone. After five months, I had to shift my parents to a better place.

"Positive Family Tour Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

Our family visited the assisted living facility in person, and we really enjoyed the tour.

"Staff Shortages Impact Sunnycrest Senior Living"

Sunnycrest Senior Living is a pretty nice place, but they’re dealing with staff shortages, just like everyone else

"Hidden Gem with a Tranquil Garden"

It’s an older place with a bit of a maze-like layout, but there’s a lovely garden. Overall, it’s pretty chill.

"Disappointing Communication Issues at Sunnycrest Assisted Living"

Our family member was really excited about living in Sunnycrest. But after they fell and broke their leg, it's been really hard to get in touch with anyone there. They're not returning our calls, and it's making things frustrating for us.

"Poor Care and Unpleasant Appliances at Assisted Living Facility"

My relative has been living here for a while and is continually overlooked. Whenever they ask for assistance, it just never arrives. The food has slightly improved, but it used to be pretty lousy. The laundry appliances smell awful and do not function well.

"Friendly Staff and Activities"

This place is pretty good, but ask questions before signing up. They said they'd take residents to doctor appointments within 10 miles, but it's only twice a week. You have to sign up for the limited transportation. Wish we knew this upfront. Housekeeping comes once a week, but they only sweep the floor (not under the bed) and skip the kitchenette. Trash pickup is weekly, and there's an extra charge for kitchenette cleaning. That felt misleading. The staff is friendly, meals are great, and there are lots of activities for residents.

"Assisted Living Review: Cambridge Court Offers Quiet, Homey Environment"

We give this place 4 stars because many people work to make it wonderful. It's too expensive for my friend, but she feels at home in Cambridge Court, unlike Sunnycrest. It feels like a nice hotel to us, but lacks something she wants. Cambridge Court is in a quiet area away from Fullerton's main streets, so there are no noisy fire engines or ambulances nearby, which is important. Overall, it's a nice place and will suit many people well.

"Cleanliness, but Lackluster Services"

We visited this assisted living place, and it looked nice and clean. But there are some issues. The meals are often late, and they don't give enough food. Also, our family member doesn't always get their medicine on time. They do have bingo and sometimes music, but not much else to do. It's cheap compared to others, but that means less care and bad food.

"Mixed Experience at Convenient Assisted Living Facility"

This place is easy to get to and the food's alright. The people who work here are nice and ready to assist. We picked this spot because it's close and affordable. I'd suggest it to other families. Mom enjoys her place and has buddies around. But she's not thrilled about how they handle her meds. Thinks they're not trained well enough.

"Assisted Living Concerns: Dysfunctional System and Service Shortcomings"

We moved two family members here in the past year. Some staff members are great, but the overall system doesn't work well. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have chosen this place. We trusted the care team to give medication, but when a doctor asked to see the log due to an emergency surgery, I found out medication wasn't given regularly, and their logs were incomplete. They gave medication that wasn't recorded. I found this out after doing lots of research, including looking at their logs. The ceiling recently fell in because of water damage. The lobby feels like a hazardous area, with plastic sheeting making tunnels to get from the front door to the living areas. The service in the dining hall isn't good. I've seen unhappy waitresses complain about their job. One said, "I can't believe I have to deal with this for $12 an hour." It's obvious the staff is overwhelmed. They're working in a tough place with a lot of things to do. This means getting helpful, timely help is hard. We've paid lots of money for outside caregivers because we don't trust the in-house team. I hope things get better soon, but there have been at least two different Directors, the salesperson we worked with has left, and many caregivers say they're quitting.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

We moved two family members here last year. Some workers are nice, but the system doesn’t work well. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn’t have chosen this place for my loved ones. We trusted the staff to give medication. But when a doctor asked for the medication log for emergency surgery, I found out they often didn’t give the medicine as they should, and their records were incomplete. They gave medication that wasn’t even written down. I spent hours researching, and even got copies of their logs. The ceiling recently fell in because of water damage. The lobby looks like a hazmat area with plastic sheets making tunnels from the front door to the living areas. The dining hall service isn’t good. I’ve heard servers complain about their job. One said, "I can't believe I have to deal with this crap for $12 an hour." It’s clear the staff is overwhelmed. They have a hard job with lots of things to do. So, it’s tough to get the help you need when you need it. We’ve paid a lot of money for outside caregivers because we don’t trust the in-house team. I hope things get better soon, but there have been at least two different Directors, our salesperson left, and many caregivers say they're leaving too.

"Affordable, No Dementia Care"

We enjoy the relaxed vibe and friendly guests. However, the cost is too high for us, and they don't offer dementia care.

"Degrading care at Overpriced Assisted Living Facility"

These reviews are outdated. This facility has seen better days. They've been under fresh management for just over a year now and the new team lacks experience. Costs have risen, not fallen. They bill for everything yet offer little in return. The meals don't meet individual dietary needs of the residents. This facility once symbolized a comfortable haven for loved ones. Now, it's more suitable for those you can't bear. This establishment should be sold to individuals who prioritize care over profits. Sadly, finding a facility with a team committed to caring for your dear ones is challenging. Be thorough, gather all the facts before you commit to this place. You've been warned.

"Bright and Spacious Facility with Great Care and Activities"

This place is amazing. The building is very bright and open with wide hallways and a big courtyard, which is perfect for my Mom. Her room is large with lots of windows. The staff is very patient with her, and I really appreciate how calm they are. The place is always clean, and housekeeping comes by her room once a week. The walking areas are flat, so my Mom can walk easily, and the sidewalks are away from the busy streets. They have fun activities like bocce ball, games, bingo, and lots of entertainment. They also have trips off campus and to the store. This place has been great, and I would recommend it.

"Great respite care with friendly staff and excellent food"

My mother-in-law stayed here for respite care for about 6 weeks. We were very pleased with the community. The staff was friendly and took good care of her. The food was great, and she enjoyed it. Everything was clean and nice. Everyone was clear and helpful, which made things easier. I recommend this community.

"Family-Oriented Care Option"

We visited this place for my dad's care. It's kinda old-fashioned. They said they're working on the food. They have stuff for residents to do. Families should check it out for loved ones' care.

"Clean, modern, and friendly!"

Sunnycrest Senior Living is a fantastic place. The community is always clean and well-maintained. It looks modern, welcoming, and bright. The staff who gave the tour were friendly and answered all my questions.

"Facility's Decline Leaves a Hollow, Depressing Shell"

This place used to be lively and filled with joy. But in the last half year, a different company, located far away, bought it. The change has been quick and not good. The older review nailed it. Now, this place is just an empty shell of what it used to be. My family has had someone here for a while. It used to be a great place with a touch of warmth from the owner. That's gone now. Now, it's just depressing. The coffee machine is always empty, there aren't treats around for the residents, and no fun activities are organized. It's just plain sad.

"Unhappy With Assisted Living Facility"

I'm really not happy about this place. It's kind of sad and not many people do anything. I've heard the food isn't great. The younger workers are nice and try to help, but some others don't really care. The person who convinced us to choose this place doesn't work here anymore.

"Comfortable and Clean Assisted Living with Friendly Staff and Decent Food"

Sunnycrest is a really nice place. It's always clean and well taken care of. When you walk in, it feels cozy. The people who work there are always super nice and pay attention to you. They take care of you pretty well, and the food isn't bad either.

"Friendly Staff, Slow Maintenance at Sunnycrest"

We've had a pretty okay time at Sunnycrest Senior Living. The folks here are nice, but the help and stuff they do isn't what we thought it'd be. My family member has had some problems with the room that they've been kinda slow to fix.

"Sunnycrest: A Good, Safe Choice"

Sunnycrest Senior Living is very clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. All of these places cost a lot, and this one is about average in price. It's a really nice place. It looks a bit old, but they're painting it now. I wish there was more parking, but there's nothing they can do about that. It's really safe and nice. I really like Sunnycrest and think it was a good choice.

"Big Thanks to Sunnycrest for Their Support"

Thank you for all your help over the last two years. You and your staff were a big support through the ups and downs of our mother’s care. Whenever we had many options, you and your team were always there to listen and guide us. Sunnycrest Senior Living truly lives up to its name.

"A Perfect Home for Both People and Pets"

Living at Sunnycrest has been like home for both me and my dog, Pepper. We've been here for 5 years, and from the start, we felt very welcomed. We came from another senior community, and I was worried about how Pepper would adjust. But he was so happy here and quickly bonded with the residents and staff. When I was in the hospital for a while, Sunnycrest took amazing care of Pepper, treating him like their own. Pepper was very special to me, and even though he has passed away, everyone here still misses him.

"Excellent Care and Service"

They are really good at taking care of all our needs. The laundry service is great. The food is okay, but it would be nice to have more types of vegetables instead of just salad every night.

"Wow. Very impressed."

I recently toured Sunnycrest, and I’m VERY impressed. I didn’t know anything about senior care, and I thought an "old folks home" would be sad and dull, like in the movies. But I was totally wrong. The outside of Sunnycrest is nice, but once inside, it feels more like a fancy spa or hotel than an assisted living place. The colors and modern design are beautiful, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. During the tour, I saw the massage studio, beauty salon, movie theater, dining room, and more. I never expected those kinds of amenities! Watching all the activities and socializing going on, I’m sure Sunnycrest would give my relatives not just an easy move, but a great quality of life. Great job, everyone! I’ll be back soon.

"Steep Price, Poor Food at Pleasant Facility"

I've decided to write this review from my visit two years ago as I am planning another visit to Sunnycrest to check if they've upgraded their meals. My first visit found their food lacking. The cost is also pretty high, but it could be justified if they've improved the cuisine since it's otherwise a good spot. It's clean, workers are nice, and it fits perfectly with my situation. I may think about it if my upcoming visit goes well.

"Sunnycrest Assisted Living Review"

Nobody told me the food wasn't good here. When checking places, know what they serve. It's not tasty; it's unhealthy. We chose Sunnycrest for its nearness to the hospital.

"Avoid Sunnycrest: Lack of Compassion During Tough Times"

My dad moved into Sunnycrest because they promised he'd get the necessary care even if his health worsened. But when my dad was on his deathbed, Sunnycrest's boss cruelly denied him hospice care. This forced us to relocate him during his final days, which caused him extreme pain and suffering. He passed away just a few days later. It feels like Sunnycrest didn't care about my dad's comfort or needs at all. I wouldn’t recommend subjecting yourself or a loved one to a place that has shown no sign of compassion or helpfulness previously. Avoid Sunnycrest.

"Suburban Living Falls Short for My Aunt"

If my aunt lived in the suburbs instead of being an urban guerilla, this place would be okay. But there are some issues, like limits on housekeeping and laundry charges for personal laundry. On the bright side, the room sizes are fabulous—sunny, large, and convenient. Unfortunately, it's just not the right fit for my Aunt.

"Amazing Facility with Happy Residents and Friendly Staff"

I was really impressed with this place. The building was clean, and there were lots of different areas where residents could join in activities. Everyone seemed active and happy. The staff were super friendly. The grounds were nicely kept, and there were even some outdoor activities. The rooms were well-equipped. It seems like this place really listens to what residents want. We’re definitely going to schedule a tour for my mother-in-law.
