"Food Quality Needs Upgrade"

The staff is super friendly and helpful. They're quick to answer questions and assist me when I call, especially regarding my loved one. They make sure she has everything she needs when going out. The food could use improvement, though. Portions are small, and my cousin's pureed food situation isn't ideal. Their broken food processor has been a challenge for over a month. Considering the cost, a new one seems reasonable.

"Friendly Staff, Food Needs Improvement"

The staff is super helpful and friendly. They always answer my questions and help with whatever I need, like checking on my loved one and making sure she has her personal items if she's going out. The food could be better. The portions are small. My cousin needs her food puréed, but their food processor has been broken for over a month, so they’ve been giving her pre-puréed food she doesn't like. They’ve had to borrow her food processor. For the money they charge, they should get a new one.

"Empty Activity Rooms and High Price"

The place looked nice and clean, but we didn’t see any residents interacting. The activity rooms, eating areas, and everything were empty. Maybe it was just the time of day. Also, the price was high, especially since it wasn’t all-inclusive. Too many extra charges.

"Beware Hidden Fees! Assisted Living Review"

Be cautious of extra charges! The place is clean and nice. A doctor visits every two weeks, and a nurse practitioner comes weekly. Mom enjoys the food, especially the hot tea. They have many activities; she misses church and bible study due to COVID. The manager can be a bit too controlling at times.

"Great staff and supportive care with lots of activities"

My mother-in-law has been staying here off and on since October. Everyone here has been really nice and helpful, and I think they're doing a good job managing her care. Her memory isn’t getting better, but they’re doing their best to help her. Her best friend of 30 years lives here too, which is why we chose this place so they could be together. Her friend seems really happy here. They have a great variety of food, but she’s been having trouble eating. They’ve been making smaller portions for her so she can manage better. They work hard to keep her comfortable. There are lots of activities like card games, exercise, bingo, and even a knitting group. For the rent, there’s a flat fee for the room, but extra charges apply for help with showers, medication, and any other additional care she needs.

"Great Place for Seniors"

I recently toured this community and everything went smoothly. The staff were punctual and answered all my questions thoroughly. They did a wonderful job presenting the place, and there were many great amenities for residents. The property was beautiful and well taken care of by the staff. Although it wasn't the right fit for us location-wise, I would recommend it to others.

"Nice place, but not right for my mom"

The staff gave me a great tour of their community and answered all my questions. They even did a great follow-up. The community is very nice, clean, and the people were really nice. I just didn’t feel it would be the best fit for my mom right now.

"Great Tour, Found a Better Fit Elsewhere"

This community was really nice and had a great vibe. Everyone there was friendly, and the place seemed well-organized during the tour. They don’t serve breakfast until 9 am, and my dad likes to eat earlier. Despite that, we thought the people were super nice. Overall, the tour was the best we had. We ended up finding another place that matched what we were looking for.

"Needs Improvement: Safety, Pet Control and Resident Care"

The front door wasn't as safe as I thought it would be. Their pet dog, although tiny, was running around freely in the main entrance and kept barking at people who walked in. I noticed a resident in the memory care section that was sleeping with his head on the table in the eating area.

We liked this place when we visited. The staff were friendly and really focused on caring for the residents. They also had lots of great amenities. In the end, we felt a bit better about the other community we chose.

"Assisted Living with Convenient Kitchenette"

My parents and I liked the room layout. It had two sides with a kitchenette in between. They could bring their meals with a small fridge and microwave. This place had what we needed at good prices, but it looked older than the others we visited.

"Great place, clean, friendly staff, good activities, highly recommended."

The tour was fantastic. It’s a beautiful place we wanted for mom. We really liked the staff and how clean it was. She would have enjoyed the activities. We recommend this place to other families.

"Neglected residents: The decline of care in 2016"

Don't send your family to this place. A few years back, things were decent, but everything went downhill in 2016. It seems like they only care about money, not our loved ones. Management is a joke; they can't run the place properly. The constant staff turnover means the care is terrible, and they often screw up their medication or forget to take my elderly relatives to meals. When there's a problem, they don't even call you until it's too late. The nurses really try, but the management is a mess. The person in charge doesn't know a thing about healthcare or leadership. Rooms always smell like urine; they never clean the carpets. Even with all the money we're paying, basic facilities like water and toilets aren't working. The food went from decent to briefcase food in 2016. Many times, they didn't even bring our family member to dinner, and when they were sick, they didn't offer any food. I've seen residents left outside multiple times and staff members complaining about having to spend time with the patients. The caregivers could often be seen conversing in the main areas instead of caring for the residents. When someone called for help, they'd laugh and say they would do it later. Overall, the staff got really unhappy and their work ethics took a toll. They didn't seem to want to do anything to keep the residents happy. I'm relieved that I don't have to worry about my loved one being mistreated anymore because they're in a better place now.

"Amazing Staff and Great Support!"

I can’t thank the staff enough for all the help they gave me while my mom was there. They made sure she was comfortable and that all her needs were met as well as possible. They also helped me a lot with setting up her hospice and getting everything organized for her medical care. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a retirement home.

""Very Disappointing Community Visit""

Nothing about this place appealed to me during my visit. The whole thing seemed old-fashioned, and seeing a TV in one of the rooms didn't impress me. I didn't enjoy my tour in the least.

"Family Extremely Satisfied with Care"

This place is doing an amazing job and everyone is super friendly. I’d highly recommend them. The staff is caring and loving, treating the patients with lots of kindness. They even give hugs when the residents want or need them. They really go above and beyond! Our family is very happy and satisfied with the care.

"Sunrise of Alta Loma—A Fantastic Choice!"

Sunrise of Alta Loma is a fantastic place. The staff work together as a team, even going beyond their usual duties. The apartments and rooms are great. The food is decent. Requests are usually handled quickly. I strongly recommend Sunrise of Alta Loma to everyone.

"Clean Facility, but Loud and Disturbing"

The place was neat, but I didn't appreciate that the majority of the people living there tend to leave their doors open and blast their TVs. It was seriously bothersome!

We love the care and attention given to our mom. There are always lots of activities to do, and the staff not only takes good care of the residents, but they also know who the family members are and always give accurate updates.

"Workers Seemed Unenthusiastic at Assisted Living Facility"

My feelings were lukewarm. The place itself looked good, like a cozy house. I was just there to look around, but I got to see some of the workers. To be honest, I wasn't too happy about their behavior. They didn't seem too thrilled to be there. It was as if it was purely a paycheck for them. They didn't seem to like it or to want to be there. My overall vibe from the place was just okay.

They give great care to those who need it. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Everyone here is welcoming and accommodating, always doing their best. I’m very happy with them and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

"Amazing place with friendly staff and clean facilities"

This place was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and comfortable. I felt right at home.
