"Good Facility, Not Perfect for Individual Needs"

Our family had some unique needs, but I'd still say Sunrise of Fullerton is a good choice for other families. My mom lived on the ground floor, and my dad was in the memory care section upstairs. They both liked to stay in their rooms more than joining in with the community activities, especially my mom. I wished the staff had encouraged her to join in more, but I get that they can't do everything for everyone. There were plenty of activities on the ground floor, but it was tough to get my mom interested. I do think the memory care area could use more activity options. My sisters know a lot of people who have their parents there, and they're really happy with it. The place was always clean, and the laundry service was quick and reliable. The food was tasty too—I had meals there with my parents several times. All in all, it's a great place and I'd tell other families to consider it. It just wasn't the exact right fit for what our parents needed.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

The place looks nice, but it doesn't meet all my mom's needs. Her income is limited and I'm worried about the future.

"Consider before choosing: Small, clean facility with helpful staff."

I visited this place for a tour, and the people there were friendly and ready to assist. They listened to all my questions and worries. However, the place felt cramped, not much space to walk around. It seemed tidy though. But it didn't seem right for my husband. Families should check it out before deciding.

We discovered the right place with A Place For Mom's help. The care and experience are good for my mom and us.

"Comfortable Living Environment with Caring Support"

My wife and I are doing great at this place. They take good care of her needs. I'm glad she's in a place where she gets good care. The place is clean and neat. The food is okay. Overall, it's a nice community, and we like living here.

"Sunrise Review"

Moving my 95-year-old mom from NorCal to SoCal due to my sister's move, we checked out 26 places. Sunrise at Fullerton stood out for its Terrace Club, offering care between assisted living and memory care. It's perfect for those with memory issues but not safety concerns. The caregiver-resident ratio eases worries about safety. Though minor issues arise, the staff is friendly and resolves them. I'm satisfied with moving Mom to Sunrise.

"Friendly and Comfortable Assisted Living Facility"

This place was really cozy and welcoming. The staff was super nice and friendly, they were young and outgoing. They made sure to say hi to everyone by their names and even gave me a hug! There weren't too many people around when I visited, but the ones I saw seemed friendly enough. The rooms were pretty nice, and the outside area was okay. It's a bit pricey, but not as much as Sunrise of Yorba Linda. Plus, the rooms here are laid out better and the air conditioning works great.

"Assisted Living Review: Mixed Experience, Caring Staff, Room for Improvement"

This assisted living place has had some issues. Sometimes they promise to do something but then they don't follow through. When I call and remind them, they finally do it. I want to be able to rely on them. Overall, it's been pretty good, but I have to keep an eye on a few things once in a while. At first, my aunt wasn't happy there until we brought her cats. After that, things got much better. She didn't like being woken up too early because she likes to sleep in, and breakfast is only served at 7 AM. When I worked at Sunrise, we always considered what the person liked and didn't like. We knew we were in their home and wanted to make things work for them. My aunt also hasn't found people she can really talk to. Most of the time, the residents just sleep, and she's craving some intellectual conversation, which is tough. I hope she stays there; I've worked in many different care places, and nobody's perfect, but I think Sunrise is one of the best.

We chose this smaller community for personalized care, great staff, and nice environment.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Pleasant but Pricey, No Openings"

It's really nice, but they don't have any rooms available, and she needs help with Alzheimer's. Also, it can be costly.
