"Mixed Experience at Sunrise in Hermosa Assisted Living Facility"

The activities at Sunrise in Hermosa are great. But, there are issues in the dining room. The food is often overcooked and dry. People have to check glasses for pulp or lipstick marks. It's disappointing that such a nice place makes people wary of using cups and silverware. Many menu items listed are not available, like fresh baked cookies. Before ordering, it's smart to ask staff if the food is tender. Chicken, brisket, or pork can be very tough. It's a good idea for anyone considering this place to visit for a meal without scheduling. Observe how residents are treated and if dishes are clean.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living, Despite Its Advantages"

Overall, this community is pretty good. The rooms are nice, and the staff is eager to help. It's in a great location. However, it's quite expensive. They don't have enough staff, and sometimes the staff seems overwhelmed. Recently, they've had a lot of changes in leadership, which isn't ideal. The dining room situation has been tough for my loved one, and others are struggling too. But overall, it's a nice place.

If you can afford it and like the location, Sunrise of Hermosa Beach is a great choice. The staff is sensational—happy, caring, and friendly in every department. However, there are occasional delays in the dining room, and the food isn't always served piping hot. More dining room seats would benefit residents.

"Safe, Well-Run Assisted Living Community"

Even during the worst of COVID, they worked hard to keep everyone safe. The community is well-managed. Once the pandemic is over, I'd rate this place a 5. My loved one enjoyed it, and I'd recommend it based on my experience.

"Attentive Staff and Activities, Billing Issues Need Improvement"

The staff at this assisted living facility has been there for a long time, which is good because they don't change often. They pay attention to us and communicate well when we call. There are lots of activities to choose from, which we like. It costs a lot of money to live here, but you do get good care. The only big problem we have is with the billing department, which is hard to work with. We have had problems with our bills and had to argue with them a few times.

"Clean and Pleasant!"

I didn't have any problems during the tour of this community for my loved one. The staff arrived on time for our appointment and answered all my questions thoroughly. The presentation was well done, and everything was very clean. However, in the end, it wasn't the right location for us.

I was pleased with this community. The staff gave a great tour and answered all my questions. The place was clean and well-kept. They have good meals and many activities that would be perfect for my mom. I suggest other families tour this place for their loved ones.

"Great Experience!"

My visit to this place went really well. It was one of our favorite options and I'd totally suggest it to others. The staff were really nice and helped us with everything we needed. I also liked all the cool stuff they have for the people who live there, and the layout of the building was nice and open. Unfortunately, my dad got sick and we couldn't move him in.

Sunrise was really nice with great rooms and friendly people. They even keep in touch, but it's too far and costs a lot.

"Second choice due to fewer activities and people."

Sunrise of Hermosa Beach was my second favorite. I loved the floor plan and the rooms. The only downside was that there were fewer people and fewer activities compared to other communities we visited. For my loved one, we wanted a place that was very lively with lots of activities so he could interact and make friends.

This place is amazing. It feels open and welcoming, and everything is kept up nicely. They encourage residents to join in activities, which include physical, mental, and creative options. It’s a progressive care facility, so residents can stay as they age. There’s a restaurant, a bistro, and the private rooms are bright with tall ceilings, making them feel spacious and cozy. Annual fees are around $100k.

"Amazing ocean views and great care!"

My loved one was at this community for a short time, but it was a great experience. The ocean views were amazing, and they often took the residents to the beach for lunch or breakfast. The staff gave great care, always friendly with a positive attitude. I would definitely recommend this place—it was wonderful!

Rewrite this 4 star review of an assisted living facilities retaining the tone and using 8th grade level american English: 'We are happy with the care that is being received here. They off a lot of good food. The community is clean and well taken care of. They do offer good activities. I would recommend this community for good care.' then create a (in 10 words or less and placed in double ) that summarizes the review and resembles 'Great Care for loved ones.

"Improvements Needed, Overall Recommendable"

My aunt's doing alright here mostly, but I think there's room for improvements in this place. Overall, it's a nice, tidy spot. They're good at keeping it clean. They have fun stuff for the residents to do. The food is really good. It's a place I'd suggest to others.

"Top-notch assisted living facility; clean, friendly staff, enjoyable activities."

This place is really good. The people who work here are super nice. My mom can do activities here, which is nice. Everything is very clean, and the food is good too. We looked at other places before we chose this one, but none of them were as nice or clean as this. We're really happy with our choice.

"Grandma Thrilled Some Grocery Trips Slowing Down; Great Activities"

They've been really nice. My grandma's super happy there. She loves the place, the building, and the view. Only thing is, they said we'd go to the store more, but that's slowing down. Everything else is pretty good. They have awesome activities every night.

"Sunrise Assisted Living in Redondo Beach is amazing"

I visited Sunrise Assisted Living in Redondo Beach, and it was amazing. The Memory Care unit was excellent, and the Director gave me a great tour.

"Lovely place for older folks, but pricey for young parents."

This place costs a lot and my mom is too young for it most people here are around 80. It's really nice though, with decorations that remind me of my mom's style, and it's in a good spot. They care a lot about families and the staff are super friendly. They try hard to make it feel like a real home, not just any old place.

The place is very nice and clean, like a resort hotel. The staff are well-groomed and professional. There’s a wonderful positive atmosphere. I wouldn't mind living there someday.
