"Caring Staff Helps Ease Tough Times at Windsong Assisted Living"
Facing a parent's final days is really hard. At Windsong, the staff tries their best to help. I chose Windsong after visiting. My dad's friend moved his mom there too. Since his friend liked it, my dad thought it would be good for my mom.

"Unhappy with overcharging and time wasted at assisted living facility"
The staff was great but I didn't appreciate how the bosses made me pay for things I didn't get and how long I had to spend to fix everything. I wouldn't go back to them and I wouldn't tell anyone else to either.

"Disappointed with Windsong: Lack of Staff and Organization"
I really liked being part of the Petaluma Community. But, I wouldn't choose this place again for my loved one. It just didn't suit him well. Things seemed a bit messy, and there weren't enough workers to help him properly. I don't think Windsong is suitable for someone like [name removed]. He's back home now.

"Great staff, nice gardens, needs better food and management."
What our family likes most about Windsong of Sonoma are the staff members. They are great, and so are the gardens and the apartment. The food is not great, and the management is a little disorganized. But overall, it's been a good experience. Based on what we've seen so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

"Lovely Community, But Too Large"
Our family visited Windsong of Sonoma in person. Although it wasn't the right fit for our loved one, we appreciated the lovely community and tour experience. It was just too large.

"Mom’s Care Fell Short at Memory Facility"
Our mom didn’t get the care she needed in the memory care unit. She fell down three times and had to go to the hospital. Luckily, she wasn’t seriously hurt, but there was no one watching her at night. We had to pay a lot of money to get someone to stay with her overnight. This place wasn’t a good match for our mom’s dementia. It would have been better if they realized it sooner. Now, we’ve moved her to a small place with just six people, and they take much better care of her.

"Understaffed and Disrespectful: Mismanaged Assisted Living Facility"
This place doesn't have enough caregivers and oftentimes, they'll be doing server duties in the dining room. A friend of mine once fell in the hallway and cried out for help, but nobody heard her. It took some yelling to get someone from the dining room upstairs to help. It's really common to hear staff talk down to residents, treating us like we're just kids. It's not as nice as it seems here. They don't handle our medical records properly and some people we don't even know are giving us our medicines. We've had strangers come into our locked rooms and when we ask about them, we're told they're "agency" folk. They don't seem to be trained properly or follow the rules here. Things feel really chaotic. I've tried to talk to the manager about my concerns, but she'll just walk out of our meeting, saying she needs to use the restroom, like my concerns aren't important.

"Unsafe Assisted Living Facility with Untrained Staff at Windsong"
This place is too risky! Windsong took control from Sunrise of Petaluma and Senior on August 1, 2022. Lots of the staff has left. The remaining helpers are overwhelmed and many are untrained. Don't put your family in this situation.

"Mixed Feelings About Sunrise of Petaluma"
It’s been nice so far, but there’s room for improvement. Senior care in general could be better. I’d recommend Sunrise of Petaluma, but not strongly.
